You aren't the only one, though for me it's a bit hit or miss if it tells me if someone posts. I just got in the habit of checking for new posts frequently enough where it isn't that big an issue.
And we return to The Seventy Maxims of Maximally Effective Mercenaries
4. Close air support covereth a multitude of sins.
5. Close air support and friendly fire should be easier to tell apart.
Though considering it's Gangplank, them bombing us with mutons should be terrifying enough.
I kindof agree on the armor part at least. Considering how few hp each soldier has at this point, protection is really important too. But Odd is making some hard choices and lately momentum has not been on the team's side. They need a good clean win and the recovery will happen.
Well... THAT happened. This is not being the best season, but it's not totally over yet. There's still some hope. Some. A tiny bit. A ray. A slim chance. A... oh, cleanup crew... don't forget to get the rookie-piles they left behind.
... I'm starting to think that ChristopherOdd is just delaying the episode because something terrible happens. Bah, and I'll be out most of the day tomorrow so I won't see it until late. Well, fine then.
(Part 2, with apologies for this being a mini-novel.)
"Not much different than killing a man." Zhang picks up a weight bar from the rack and then begins swinging it like a solid steel staff in a ritualized kata. "The weakest ones in particular, the sectoids, can be killed with a single shot or...
(The following is a collaboration between Zhang (Dragonivon) and Rookie Michael Angel (Quazer Flame), done in narrative form and not personal journal form)
::Three Days after Operation SWIFT NIGHT::
Angel enters the gym area and sees Zhang. A smell of old burned flesh raises immediate alarm...
Well, we have a few scientists around though 'measuring' willpower isn't something they are going to think about much until Psi-potential is discovered.
A few reasons, though I guess it's not clear either way from all the autopsy reports though in one instance it refers to radiocarbon dating of Ethereals so we can presume they have some carbon in their systems amidst the genetic manipulation and implants but no assurance that it's the core of...
Well, the dietary preference could be as simple as 'carbon-based lifeforms' (since it's assumed the Sectoids and other aliens are not carbon-based) though it might have been them hedging their bets since the majority of earth is covered by seawater, perhaps they thought they needed to...
A slight variation on the Chryssalid theory, but perhaps one that answers a few other questions as to why they aren't attacking other species. The thing is that Chryssalids don't show up until after the abductions have happened. The reason for that is the Chryssalids were grown in captured...
Actually, that's pretty brilliant. Humans already use short-lived viruses for things like that in germ warfare; however, the beauty of the Chryssalid scenario is that while you go to many different alien worlds where some viruses may be less effective than on others, being disemboweled is...
Considering most people's wills aren't that high to start with that truly could be a problem. But you are right, there's been a lot more panicking a lot more often than one would like.
