I am putting put this PSA for people who didnt wish to read the entire colab. Kara was a little slave girl when Mina was held prisoner and the two formed a very strong bond in their time together. Shana was another one of these slaves who was 18 when Mina was taken. She was the prized slave of the bandit before Mina, and like Kara her and Mina were very close. When the raid happened, Kara was enslaved again but Shana escaped. She later moved to the capital and got her son back as she was forced to abandon him when his father became a bandit. Later Kara found Shana and the two lived together until Shana's untimely death due to a disease. Before she passed, Shana asked Kara to take Lyr to Mina, whom she deemed would be a fit surrogate mother for him.
