Titania walked over to Mina's office, her armor still torn from the Direwolves. Upon arriving, she knocked twice. "M-may I enter?"

Mina looked up from her paperwork, and placed them to the side. "Come on in."

The wolf-thrope slowly entered, her legs still wobbly from the mission. "May I sit down?" She asked more formally than usual.

"Yes, of course." Mina quickly got up and pulled the chair away from the desk for her. "Are okay? You look like you should be resting, not meeting with the boss."

"They're flesh wounds. And my legs usually hurt regardless." Titania responded, sitting down with a grimace. "I wanted to talk to you about Drayce. Please don't punish him for his actions in the woods... I almost fell to my own animalistic side, but... he's still a boy."

Mina nodded. "I won't, don't worry. I've had a talk with him." She smiled. "I promised to yell less if he promises not to kill anyone on staff."

Titania nodded and sat back in her chair. "That's pretty relieving, to be honest. LW, I thought... well, it doesn't matter what I think. I do have a secret to tell you... about where I'm from..."

Mina nodded. "Well... you wouldn't be the first person here to keep a secret from me. But I'm listening if you want to share."

Titania tilted her head slightly, before looking at the still-open door. Getting up, she closed the door before returning to her seat. "How... much do you know about Bevland's government structure, LW?"

"Well, I know it is a unique combination of heritage and democracy," Morrigan answered. "Only nobles of the royal house can lead in parliment, but the family's vote them in. So while only totals become rulers, there is a system of checks to assure that if they're unpopular, someone can be elected in their place."

Titania nodded slowly, drawing her sword slowly to show an interesting hilt, one that was decorated minimally, but had a red gem embedded in the metal. "Now, imagine... what kind of Hunter would actively carry jewel-encrusted swords into battle? None do. So, I'm...?" Titania hinted, not wanting to fully say who she was so as to deny any potential listeners.

"Now, imagine... what kind of Hunter would actively carry jewel-encrusted swords into battle? None do. So, I'm...?" Titania hinted, not wanting to fully say who she was so as to deny any potential listeners.

"A member of nobility?" Mina asked. "Bevland nobility?"

Titania nodded. "So... that's literally it. I felt that I should tell you, seeing as how you're my new, and very trusted, employer. And hopefully one day, a good friend." The wolf Thrope sheathed her blade.

Mina chuckled and patted Titania on the shoulder. She walked over to her ice bow and opened it. "Do you drink, Titania? I have a nice Bevland whiskey. Very smooth."

"Not usually; Travelling hasn't been too kind to me and it tends to empty one's pockets. But it'd be rude of me to refuse such a generous offer." Titania replied, offering a small smile to Mina.

Mina pulled out the whiskey and poured two glasses over ice, handing one to Titania. She leaned against her desk and took a sip of her own. "So... did you initially keep this from me because you were afraid I might... refuse a noble in my ranks? Or are you afraid of people knowing you are who you are?"

"A bit of both. There are some horrible people in the world. I didn't know if you'd try to use me due to my status or shelter me because you'd worry about diplomatic repercussions. Still a tiny bit scared of that last thing to be honest..." Titania answered, taking a sip, as a more dark expression took hold for a few moments.

Mina took another drink and nodded. "It would be a bit foolish of me if it didn't make me a bit... apprehensive, right? I mean... should you die out there, I'm sure there are some members of the Bevland Thrope nobility that might come down on me should they find out."

Titania raised an eyebrow, and proceeded to sigh. "They currently don't know where I am. That was four years ago, when I rescued Jay." The Bevland noble responded, still sipping at her drink.

"Titania... look at me for a second." Mina said sternly.

The thrope warrior did as she was told. "Yes, Lady Wilhelmina?"

Mina gave her a half supportive, half sly grin. "Titania, my dear, you are a grown ass woman. One who is free to make her own decisions and make her own successes and mistakes. And I, as I have said before, take on all comers of every race, creed, sex, and yes, social class." She chuckled. "As long as no tutti fruity nobleman comes up to me an expects special treatment just because of where he came from." She took a large drink, muttering in her glass, "Which has happened before, believe it or not."

"Gods, why... I feel for you, LW. I wish some of our peers acted like you do... like a noble should." Titania groaned, before she recalled a question she had wanted to ask. "So...I got a question for you, LW. It's completely rhetorical, of course, but... if you were offered a ton of money for a noble's whereabouts, would you accept?" The thrope took another sip, and studied Mina's face.

Mina leaned back. "You mean, like... if her family was looking for her... or him? Or some ne'er do wells who might be able to ransom her? If one or the other's offer me, say, my weight in gold... would I help them find her... or him?"

Titania nodded slowly, as she continued her attempt to read Mina's intentions.

Mina scrunched her nose a bit, and shrugged. "Well... yeah. I mean, a job is a job, right? The only exception for why I wouldn't take the money is, well... if this person was a part of my Hunter's Guild. After all, had kind of employer would I be if my people couldn't trust me?"

Titania let out a breath she hadn't realized she'd been holding, then smiled. "A bad one. But you're not as this is all hypothetical." After a moment, the thrope's smile faded as she became serious once more, "Thank you, Wilhelmina."

Mina nodded. "Absolutely. Least I can do after the unintentional accusations when we first talked." She finished her drink and poured another. "Since you're in a sharing mood, mind sharing a bit more? Like, say... what led you to leave?"

"My house... I still won't reveal my last name, but they're able to usually get our family into parliamentary roles. I'm... well, I'm ways away from even being considered for inheriting that seat. So, I left to see what the world was like through a different lens."

"That's understandable. Kinda responsible of you, too. And how did your family react to this decision?"

"I only told my little brother I was leaving. The others probably found out through him. Since I traveled away I haven't sent them a message in over four years." Titania admitted, lowering her head in slight shame.

Mina scratched her chin. "Well... why not? I mean, you didn't leave out of spite for them. Or were you on bad terms with them before you left?"

"I... was unnoticed. My siblings usually had more accomplishments, like for instance, knighthood. To the rest of my family, I didn't fit in, but my little brother... he held all the best aspects of our family, and was the sweetest kid ever. I... occasionally miss him, but I'll return after I make a name for myself here in your country." Titania explained.

Mina nodded in understanding. "I can understand why you would want to leave. You know, I'm an only child. So it is hard for me to connect directly with what you want through. But I know a little about being looked over. To be considered not worth the effort when you can worry about him or her or them." She smiled again and have a quick wink. "But those who underestimated me soon saw how wrong they are. Stick to the ideals that help you strive, and you'll make a name for yourself."

"I will, I promise." Titania replied, finishing her drink off. She then stood up, and started to head out, but stopped just in front of the door. "When this all over, and I can fully repay your kindness... expect a couple heartfelt gifts. I got to go see Ed, so I can pay him off, so... see you, LW." She then quickly opened and shut the door, not used to feeling hopeful about her future.

A year ago we wrote this... I feel somewhat giddy about it.

You were still a good writer back then too. :3

Although, that doesn't mean you haven't inproved, you just went from good to excellent. :)

Four part colab is up. Drayce finally ends the debate and Lyr mopes

Great stuff Marine and Zombie of course. Can't wait to see Tecunte and Drayce as well as Lyr and his new GF more. :3

Also, Drayce getting them both naked and still not picking either. We should pull a Legend of Korra, if Drayce won't choose then Eliza and Aemilia can just date eachother. :p

But in all honestly I have no problems with an open relationship between them, in fact I think I prefer it, better than one of them being sad.

Well Orochi isnt his girlfriend yet, the Legend of Korra romances were fucking terrible as was the show itself, and Drayce hasn't grown up with preconceptions to romance. He has learned most of what he knows from Erin and Esmeralda.

Got a collab with our new guy. Going up soon.

Probably going to start the mission with whoever is available this weekend. I'll talk to you guys individually about your teams.

Lastly, got a job. (Yay?) Low pay, low hours, but at least it is something.

And low hours hopefully means they won't work you into the ground.
