  • Currently drawing one of the randomly generated soldiers I got in XCOM 2. Looks really cool so far! :D I hate drawing armor though holy shit
Just beat my first campaign of XCOM 2. Working on Commander difficulty now. Figured I'd drop by again since I've been in an XCOM mood.

I've been pretty out of the loop. Do you guys know when that's starting? Regardless, I'm not sure if I'll actually participate, but I'd love to follow along.

Mid-march is when we begin. Would love to have an audience, and since all the story content is in one thread it won't be confusing to follow along like Story of Defiance (Which was my suggestion and my mistake, though I've learned from it of course).

Sounds nice! I remember that was one of the daunting things that kept me from just jumping into things last time. :p
I've sort of returned to do more art despite having not drawn anything in over a month. Life, why must you be so busy?
Sorry for being MIA lately. Computer viruses, installing Windows 8.1, class starting, art revolution... Lots going on.
My computer has a virus of some sort. I practically can't do anything at the moment. :/

Nevermind, Windows Security Essentials killed it. I just had to run every anti-virus program I own to find it. 'Twas a bad trojan.

Retract that nevermind. It's a trojan virus that keeps coming back. The real problem is probably somewhere better hidden... Ugh. I'm never going to be able to get any drawings done at this rate.
My Dad is blasting 80's music downstairs. Not bashing 80's music, but why does he have to play it at a million decibels? My ears bleed.

I'm the only one in my family that doesn't or won't have hearing issues in the near future. :p

I'm probably the same since I have hypersensitive hearing and listen to stuff at like 10% volume. However, I believe my Dad must have like no hearing left at this point.

*imagines him putting in a hearing aide and it not helping*
I do have a suggestion for you related to Juniper that I think you might like, but I'm waiting for approval on it. If its approved, I'll give ya a PM explaining it.
Not to pressure you, but you are missing out on a lot of fun stuff if you haven't started reading the recent story posts. Once Juni's bio is ready, I recommend starting from when the New Delhi Campaign 'Begins.' Post is "Aryan's call to Arms." However, if you just start reading from when your bio is posted that's perfectly fine.

Though I do highly recommend you read the "Interrogations" posts related to a Sectoid, Muton, and Thin Man. It gives a good background on the races and shows exceptions to the rule, or at least those not so willing to serve the Ethereals.
If you don't already have strong plans for how Juniper is recruited, I could always help you out with that. *Tom waves*

Hmm interesting. I'm trying to think of what he'd specifically see in her to make an offer though. She might be psy-gifted, but that's unknown at this point and maybe for a long time. I like the idea that she's a bit under-qualified in experience, so maybe something else?

Well, she might have the motivation due to her local military not being enough. To be fair, we're running thin on recruits, and people like Ammelia Cross (who can only see via tech and doesn't have any prior experience before she joined XCOM) were accepted early on. Sometimes its just willingness to join, and we don't see the rejects.

That said, if you can think of a good reason be my guest, I just don't know enough about Juniper to say anything enlightened. On Friday or Saturday I could do something introductory if you have time then, and are ready to begin.
I'm looking forward to seeing you Rp! We're really lucky to have to you here. :3

Linnet might work as a small, stealth-based MEC though. She's best in combat when she can hit first, hit hard, and only need to hit once. She can super-heat her claws, so armor has to be pretty thick for her to not be able to quickly melt and pierce right through it. She's a glass cannon though. She can hardly take any damage at all. Evasion is her armor.

Sounds cool! But you might want to be safe and run it by Zombie first. But it shouldn't be a problem, I am pretty sure we have to the tech to do something like this. :)

Probably first order of business is just getting Juniper into the story, heh. Easier to keep track of just one character while I'm getting used to things. Linnet might sneak her way in later. ;)
