Name: Astasha Streczyk
Title/Role: Commander of the XSDF
Age: 43 (appears 33)
DoB: Feb. 29th, 2000
Sex: Female
Place of Birth: New Delhi, India
Race/Nationality: Human/Indian
Height: 5'7"
Weight: 154 lbs
Hair Color: Black
Hair Style: Short, Spiked
Eye Color: Brown
Immediate Family: None
Place of Residence before XSDF: New Delhi, India

Appearance:
Out of combat for years now, Astasha is still in relatively good shape, not letting a desk job keep her down. She keeps her hair short, has a small scar on her right cheek, and several plasma burns on her arms. She has a constant glare in her eyes, and only those close to her have ever seen her smile.

Personality:
Astasha has a fairly abrasive personality, brought on by years of action and hardship. She prefers an unattached relationship with her people, and both expects and demands the absolute best from them. Crossing her at any point will not be tolerated, and her ship's brig is ready for those who do.

Bio:
Born in the capital of New Delhi, Astasha led a fairly simple life growing up. Her moderate education and family's social status made the Indian Military her best option as a career she wouldn't find demeaning. Field positions were limited for women at the time, but that changed within months of her joining.

Aliens have a tendency to throw all of the rules out the window, and everyone fit for the field hit said field. At least, until the army was suddenly told to stand down. For months, Astasha fought in small guerrilla groups, having abandoned the army that was clearly under the alien's control. Her first exposure to XCOM came during their campaign to retake the capital of India. On July 3rd, 2018, a small group led by Ammelia Fischer recused Astasha's struggling band of fighters in the Gurudwara Bangla Sahib. After a tense struggle with trust, XCOM brought them to safety.

Astasha would return to the Indian Military after this, and continued to fight on her home front after this. She remained with them for another ten years, and after a five year brake, she joined the XSDF.

Astasha's rise through the ranks of the XSDF was somewhat slow despite her obvious potential. She was efficient and got results, but was abrasive, having turned bitter after the loss of her family during the Ethereal Subjugation War. Astasha listened to her superiors, but was plagued with allegations of abusive treatment of those under her, though nothing was ever proven. It was well known that Astasha adamantly opposed alien life on Earth, and the vast majority of those who accused her of abuse were non-humans.

Despite all of this, Astasha proved her worth and resolve during the final assault on La Defensiva Humanidad, and has been the Commander of the XSDF since 2038. She was appointed by direct insistence by the Council of Nations, though even those within the top positions of the XSDF are unsure who her supporters were.

With word of territory dispute with the Earth's new Elerium mine, Astasha has decided to personally investigate it, despite protest from her second in command. Said second now insists on coming with, something Astasha finds suspicious given her choice in requested crew.

Special Notes:
Astasha will not tolerate the more relaxed attitude of previous Commanders of the XSDF (or XCOM). She has little to no psionic potential, not that she would have psionics willingly unlocked. Additionally, she is not a fan of fraternization amongst her crew, and has strict rules against it.

She has one gene-mod for every section of her body, and trains constantly in case she is needed on the battlefield.

Name: Aya Brea
Title/Role: 1st Officer/Soldier (Assault/Scout)
Age: 64 (Apparent age 29)
DoB: November 20th, 1979
Sex: Female
Place of Birth: Boston, Massachusetts, USA
Race/Nationality: Human, Caucasian (Paternal)/ Japanese (Maternal)
Height: 5' 3"
Weight: 125 lbs
Hair Color: Blond
Hair Style : Shoulder Length, Straight
Eye Color: Blue
Immediate Family: Eve Fenris (Younger 'Sister'), Adam Fenris (Brother-in-law)
Place of Residence before XSDF: O.S.S. Guardian Angel

Appearance:
Being of Asian and Caucasian descent, Aya displays features from both her Japanese mother and her American father. She has many Asian facial features, such as the shape of her face and eyes, while possessing blue eyes and fair blonde hair. Attractive, though never using sexuality to an advantage, Aya has a somewhat small figure, but is not frail in any way; she is fairly agile, and while she’s not a powerhouse, she is by no means weak. She may be stronger than her appearance, both physically and mentally, as she tends to outperform those around her who appear to be much stronger.

Due to a combination of her own incredibly reduced rate of mitochondrial decay and the effects of the anti-aging formula developed by EE, Aya's aging seems to have practically stopped. Despite being in her mid sixties, Aya appears to still be in her late twenties. Thus, she has retained her youthful agility and mental fortitude, though she would prefer to live a normal life like everyone else. She only continues to take the serum because she feels she has work yet to be done.

Personality:
On the surface, Aya can appear to be sarcastic and uninterested, and she tends to brush off the advances of those she is not familiar with. However, inside she is honest, kind and compassionate. She can be gentle and nurturing, and even maternal at time, especially towards children. She has very humanitarian and altruistic attributes, believing all life to be priceless, including non-human life. She is practically incapable of turning a blind eye to the suffering of others, and can be self-sacrificing, often to a fault. If she sees someone in danger, she often acts compulsively, betraying her usual intelligence in an effort to save them.

The pains and trials she has gone through has left her alienated to the world around her. She keeps most of her interactions with others professional, though she can be quite patient. She suffers from a type of survivor's guilt over those who have died around her, especially those who died protecting her, and it can weigh her down, much to Maya's displeasure. This has only intensified after decades of service, though she has learned to hide it well.

Bio:
Born in Boston in 1979, Aya led a simple life with her parents and twin sister Maya. However, on December 23, 1984, Aya was in a car accident with her mother and sister, both of whom died. Afterwards, her father, a journalist, was forced to raise his surviving daughter alone, the two relying on each other for comfort over their loss. At the age of seven, Aya received a corneal transplant to correct a defect in her right eye at St. Francis hospital in New York City, the donor being her own sister, whose organs had been preserved.

As a young woman, Aya studied Criminology at the University of Virginia, and participated in the Reserve Officer's Training Corps program. She later relocated to New York City and became an NYPD officer, where she worked for three years between 2003-06, where she was eventually promoted to detective. During this time, she became involved in what is known to the general public as the New York Blockade Incident, which included the mass evacuation of the island of Manhattan after the release of an unknown airborne substance resulted in numerous occurrences of what appeared to be spontaneous human combustion, as well as extensive damage to the NYPD 17th Precinct, St. Francis Hospital, Carnegie Hall, Central Park, the Chrysler Building, the American Museum of Natural History, and the Statue of Liberty.

The exact circumstances revolving around how Aya was able to resolve the incident are unknown, but she left the NYPD soon after the incident and joined a special division of the FBI based out of Los Angeles, whose official purpose was "to hunt down and eliminate lesser known threats to the well-being of America." She remained with this group until September 2007, during which time an incident with a terrorist group operating in a secret base in the Mojave Desert resulted in the FBI declaring Aya's division's work to be "complete," and it was dissolved.

Aya spent the next five years living a quiet life with a man she met during the Mojave desert incident, identity confidential, and a young girl named Eve, who was adopted by Aya as her 'sister' under unknown circumstances. Her quiet life was shattered on December 24th, 2013, when her wedding at Saint Thomas Church in New York City with her five-year boyfriend was attacked by an unknown terrorist group, resulting in the death of the groom. Aya enlisted in the United States Marine Corps to raise her skills in the hopes of one day finding her lover's killers, and rose through the ranks at an unprecedented rate.

She was called to XCOM by an old friend, Commander Morrigan O'Brien, to act as a go between and trainer of new soldiers, though she soon took the role as central officer when the former occupant died. She worked well with others, and helped train the psionic soldiers. Her self-sacrificing ways came to surface, however, when an attempt to redeem herself, involving her purposely walking into a trap, nearly cost her life. Kind and encouraging words from friends helped her push forward and recover, and she was there in the end, even if her role in the final fight was somewhat low due to an injury.

Aya remained with XCOM after the war, and became the new Commander of its subsequent organization, the XSDF. It was because of her hard work and dedication that the XSDF was able to survive its turbulent first decade and a half. Once it was on its feet, Aya left, still interested in finding her former fiance's killers, especially after she learned they might be on the rise again. Worse yet, a dear friend of hers, a former lover turned close friend, dropped off the face of the Earth, and she feared he might have been claimed by her enemies.

When word came that they might have moved off world, Aya rejoined the XSDF in the hopes of tracking the organization down using their help, and again assisting them with their goals. Though she been offered the Commander's position three times in the four years she's been back, she has refused them every time, feeling her place is on the battlefield alongside her men. She has, however, grown tired of a life of constant fighting. Rumor has it, she is watching and waiting for a successor to take her place, and currently has eyes on one or two individuals, one of the more prominent one being Frederick Mason.

Special Note: Due to the incident in New York during the New York Blockade Incident, Aya has a significant amount of unconscious control over the evolutionary level of her mitochondria. This has gifted her with a number of unique physical and psychokinetic abilities, including self-healing, creation of a psychokinetic barrier, a charge energy shot, pyrokinesis, and a little known ability few have seen her use. In an attempt to be more 'normal', however, she rarely uses her abilities before coming to XCOM, instead counting on her combat skills to win a fight. Her time during the war taught her to use them as a gift rather than run from them as a curse, and she was worked hard over the past twenty-five years to improve them, as well as gain control she was lacking before. What's more, she has trained long and hard to overcome her susceptibility to mind control. How successful she was has yet to be seen.

Name: Frederick Mason
Title/Role: Soldier (Second Officer, Infantry)
Age: 30
DoB: Jan. 15th, 2014
Sex: Male
Place of Birth: London, England
Race/Nationality: Human/British
Height: 6'
Weight: 163 lbs
Hair Color: Black
Hair Style : Short, Somewhat Spiked
Eye Color: Green
Immediate Family: Sarah Mason (Mother), Philip Mason (Father), Phillip Mason Jr. (Brother, Deceased), Rose Atkinson (Grandmother)
Place of Residence before XSDF: Human Colony Novum

Appearance:
Frederick is in good shape, though he clearly struggles with a low metabolism. He tries to keep himself clean cut and shaved, by tends to get forgetful when it comes to personal hygiene. He prefers XSDF uniforms and plain dress cloths, not being one with much of a fashion sense.

Personality:
Frederick prefers a close and personal relationship with his fellow soldiers. Adamantly supportive of the 'Your squadmates are your family' approach, he has studied the work of past Commanders, and agrees with their tendency towards this kind of relationship with those under them, including Commanders Tully, Sanchez, Brea, and O'Brien. That said, he tends to be timid off the job, often found sitting by himself, enjoying a lone pint.

Bio:
Fascinated by the idea of alien life since he was very young, Frederick (Freddy to his friends) followed the Ethereal Subjugation war very closely, despite only being three when it started. He practically learned how to read by studying various reports, including a complete set of the declassified files (and a few of the classified ones) from Project XCOM, brought to him by his Grandma Rosie.

Frederick had a large interest in alien life and a moderate interest in the military, while his brother Phillip, one year his senior, was the opposite, only mildly interested in aliens but with a love for soldiers, weapons, and anything associated with the military. They grew up in an upper middle class home, both had moderate grades, and they spent most of their childhood together, as much friends as brothers.

The two particularly enjoyed the month they spent every summer with their Grandma Rosie. A former PMC soldier, she taught the two survival techniques, fighting styles, and unbeknownst to their parents, weapons training. It is of little surprise that Phillip joined the British Armed Forces immediately after high school, though Frederick spent four years in college before doing the same.

While Phillip was the bigger military nut, Frederick made for the better soldier, though he was held back by his own timidness. Being in the military for five years before his brother gave Phillip the head start to assure his brother didn't hold himself back.

Sadly, when Frederick was twenty-five, his brother was sent into a hostage situation involving a Humilitia and a pair of Sectoids in a small cafe. What started out as a misunderstanding had escalated to an armed confrontation, and a rookie with a itchy trigger finger and a grudge resulted in an exchange of fire, ending with three dead extraterrestrials, one lost hostage (felled by human fire), and the loss of Frederick's brother.

A more resentful, less educated man would have let this taint his view on alien life, but Frederick was well aware that Humilitia and type 2 Sectoids had no criminal record, and they had overreacted to perceived threats by human patrons antagonizing them in the cafe. This was the exact kind of misinformed, preventable tragedy the an organization like the XSDF was created to avoid. Frederick immediately requested a transfer to the XSDF.

Without his brother to back him up, it was up to Frederick to push himself, and he quickly rose through the ranks. He quickly caught the eye of Second-in-Command Aya Brea, and she began giving him specialized training, leading him to believe she was building him up to replace her. While he isn't sure he is ready for such a position, he trusts that Aya will know when the time is right. Besides, it isn't like a woman as sturdy as Aya is going anywhere.

Special Notes:
While still supportive of alien life on Earth, the sight of a psi lance punching through his brother's chest has left Frederick uneasy around psions. Not to the degree that he would judge anyone based on having them alone, just enough to make him uncomfortable and push for stronger regulations and rules, like one advocating gun control.

Frederick had a secondary heart, neural dampening, and adaptive bone marrow, received a couple years after joining the XSDF.

Frederick is brave in all situations, save for one. He has severe, deep seeded arachnophobia. He isn't sure of its origins, though his mother blames it on his grandmother for exposing him to documentation and footage of the 2018 Moscow terror attack at a young age.

Name: Rei Tanaka
Title/Role: Science Division (Chief Science Officer, Acting Rank - Colonel)
Age: 40 (Apparent Age, 30)
DoB: August 10th, 2003
Sex: Female
Place of Birth: Yokohama, Japan
Race/Nationality: Human/Japanese
Height: 5' 5"
Weight: 110 lbs
Hair Color: Black
Hair Style : Straight, To small of Back
Eye Color: Brown
Immediate Family: Hitomi Tanaka (Wife), Mimi Tanaka (Daughter), Yoshi Tanaka (Son), Atka Wiewiora (Mother), Jake Wiewiora (Father), Keiko Wiewiora (Sister)
Place of Residence before XSDF: Shifting between colonies. Family's primary residency currently on Forseti.

Appearance:
Rei has an inquisitive look to her eye, and purposely wears glasses rather then contacts because she feels they 'suit her', and has never found a need for corrective surgery. She has fairly attractive features, if a little on the small size, though these are usually hidden beneath a 'scientist' facade, as she wears only a minimum amount of make-up, and is almost always dressed in a lab coat. Her hair is a little out of place in this regard, though if one asks her why she keeps it so long, she matter-of-factually answers 'because Hitomi likes long hair'.

Personality:
On the outside, to one who does not know her, Rei can seem cold and emotionless, and she does little to improve her image in this regard. However, underneath the surface is a woman who is passionate about all she does, and a loyal and trustworthy friend. She tends to correct people, but knows when to be quiet. She is very serious, but she has a playful side she keeps just beneath the surface. On a rear occasion, one can catch glimpse of her dead-pan humor, and while she rarely laughs at another's joke, you might catch her turning away to hid a smile.

She's incredibly inquisitive and intelligent, wise beyond her years, and uses the majority of that intelligence for the sake of her friends, and of course, her family.

Bio:
Rei and Hitomi's respective parents were good friends before the girls were born, and the two grew up together, becoming close after they started school. At the age of seven, Hitomi lost her parents in a car accident. Rei's parents fought and eventually won a custody battle with Hitomi's uncle, her only other living relative. Despite the decision that he was unfit to raise Hitomi, he continued to fight to overturn the decision, though he mysteriously ceased his attempts when she reached her teens.

At the age of ten, the pair became a trio when Rei and Hitomi defended Keiko from a group of bullies, and decided to take the shy, introverted girl, and help her become more self-confident. The three were inseparable after that point, doing everything together, making decisions together, supporting each other. After years of growing up together, Rei and Hitomi's feelings for one another grew beyond friendship, something they were open about at first, though they started to hide it due to the disappointment of Rei's parents.

When the aliens attacked her home during the Ethereal Subjugation war, Rei spent months with her friends in an alien abduction ship. She was slated for experimentation, and was only sparred from it by those scheduled ahead of her. She was eventually rescued by XCOM and brought to their base, but all of them had lost their parents in the initial attack.

After the loss of the girls' respective parents, the second set for Hitomi, the only thing that kept them from breaking down was each other. They came under the care of Jake Wiewiora, Keiko's neighbor and friend. While Rei was suspicious of the older man's intentions, she warmed up to him, as he acted as a surrogate big brother, always watching to be sure they stayed safe. In addition, he was more open minded when she and Hitomi came out about their relationship then her parents were.

When the war ended, the trio left for Canada to live with Jake and his girlfriend, Atka, whom had easily won Rei over when she rescued Keiko from an Ethereal attempting to use her. Rei and Keiko were adopted while Hitomi simply remained under their legal guardianship, allowing her to marry Rei as soon as they were old enough.

Rei did not let the invasion stop her education, studying harder then ever while on the XCOM base. She was out of high school by 16, and had a PhD in applied sciences and chemistry by 22. She worked for a number of organizations until she had made enough of a name for herself to open her own corporation, Tanaka Sciences. While not nearly as big as other companies, such as the ones run by the Exalts or Crosses, she would often work with them to supply materials, as well as well trained employees. Her specialty was using what they learned from the aliens to improve on terraforming efforts, and her company is leading the charge in an attempt to fully terraform Mars.

Her work has led her to jump from one colony to the next, but she always tries to find time for Hitomi and their to children, now ten, whom the mothers respectively had through in vitro fertilization. Still, her time away from them is hard, even if she doesn't always show it. Rei joined XSDF in the hopes of assisting them and having a more stable work environment, leaving her company in the hands of a trusted employee for now. With word that the XSDF ship Einherjar is heading to Forseti, where her family is currently living, it is little wonder why Rei requested to work on this ship.

Special Notes:
Rei looks at alien life from a practical viewpoint, and sees them as having the same potential for good or evil as anyone else. She has no issue with Cybernetics, gene-mods, or psionics, and has, in fact, developed low level psionics herself, having shown signs of them during her time with XCOM, and her exposure to her psionic parents, one of them being one of the three most powerful human psions on Earth, led to hers emerging naturally. She has only developed them to a small degree, however, never finding a need to have them fully unlocked.

Name: Addington Khumalo
Title/Role: XSDF Bridge Staff, Fleet Coordinator
Age: 19 (Appears 18)
DoB: July 6th, 2025
Sex: Male
Place of Birth: Johannesburg, South Africa
Race/Nationality: South African
Height: 1.78 meters (5'10)
Weight: 68 kilograms (150 lbs)
Hair Color: Black
Hair Style : Somewhat wavy
Eye Color: Blue
Immediate Family: Jackson (Father) and Philantha (Mother)
Place of Residence before joining the XSDF: Excelsior, Mia Belle

Appearance:

Addington has a polished and highborn appearance to him. He often wears fancy or otherwise professional clothing, including a pair of dark gray sunglasses. The fleet coordinator's typical military outfit consists of gray pants, a belt with the XSDF symbol, a collared navy blue shirt, and a black jacket.

Personality:

The South African is rather arrogant, viewing the common man as beneath him. He can only be described as an ass to those that disagree with transhumanism or alien collaboration, feeling that they are barring the way to humanity's future. Buried under this arrogance and narccisism, however, is a man that does truely care about others, but is too spoiled and unfamiliar with how to show it.

Bio:

The Khumalo family has a curious history. Although it sounds like a native African name, and indeed is, Addington's father was white. His ancestors that arrived in South Africa in the early 1900s did not agree with the sense of superiority others displayed over the native peoples, and found themselves outcasts for it. Because of this, they adopted native last names. After apartheid they didn't change the tradition.

Because of this connection to the native people, it was not surprising that Jackson fell in love with an African woman named Philantha. Both were successful in business, working in the small local branch of Exalt Enterprises. The two only had one child they named Addington, Jackson dying in an explosion six years later. Philantha threw herself into her work for a time, and thus Addington didn't really have much of a parental figure to look up to, just money and luxury.

By the time Philantha realized this mistake, it was too late to turn Addington's sense of arrogance and entitlement around. She and her son often argued, Addington resenting her for spending so little time with him and then expecting him to behave the way she wanted. Philantha was upset about how her son was turning out, and was afraid of drifting apart from the last gift Jackson had given her.

At least one thing went write. Highly intelligent and clever, Addington went through school at an accelerated rate, graduating from high school at the age of 15. He had few friends, his abrasive personality seeing to it that many avoided him and were jealous of his ability. Going through school too fast didn't help with this either. Philantha decided to send him to a military school in a last ditch effort to reform him.

Addington resisted, disliking the stricture and structure found there. His two years there did spark an interest in tactics and strategy, but none in actually doing fighting or physical work himself. When Mia Belle was founded, he convinced his mother to sent him there where he could go to a college for two years to get additional learning without the 'hell of a military theme'. When he graduated from there, his ego inflated, Addington decided to join the XSDF. Initially, the recruiters were hesitant regarding his personality, but his intelligence could not be denied, even if he lacked experience.

Imagine a web that is ever so expanding, in every direction possible in every way possible. Every new note that is created can store more information than any computer could ever do on planet Earth. This small description right here is the surface description of a brain. The brain of both Human and AI. At the age of ten I managed to master the creation of artificial brains, however it did come with a consequence. While building my first AI I was stupid enough to not follow the instructions that I have created for myself properly and started to test a little to break the limit of what was possible.

Elerium is used to fuel most androids today. I had nothing but electricity back then. While connecting several wires to a wrong port a malfunction happened causing the small cube-like AI that was the size of a human head to explode. Metal was flying in all sort of directions and I got the worst of it. A metal piece hot enough to almost become liquid flew straight into my right eye and burned most of the socket clean out; by removing it I scarred my left hand with burn marks. Holding my eye socket closed with my hand I tried to make out anything that was possible with my right eye. Then I saw the single most scariest thing I could have ever seen in my life.

My entire right arm was lying across the garage and I did not even notice that it was gone until then. Which made it all the more worse when I did noticed. The pain started flowing through me upon noticed and I assure you not even death could bring you such pain. The rest of my body was left unharmed and the next couple of months I spend were in the hospital. My parents were too poor to afford a robotic arm or cybernetic eye replacement so the next two years I had to live without an arm and eye, but that never stopped me from creating my AI.

I started from scratch and this time followed the blueprints. Although the temptation was there to try and break the limit again was there I held myself back. After several more months I created my first working AI at the age of twelve. It was a small floating cube about the size of a baby’s head this time around. “A.E. - C.U.” was it’s name pronounced like “AQ”, AECU is the short version for “Artificially Enhanced Cube Unit”. But I was not done here, from here on out through my teenage years Aecu helped me create several things.

Although my family was poor I managed to create my own artificial right arm from almost nothing but junk, things like empty soup cans would be the main frame metal, and old metal cutlery replaced the fingers. For the beginning it had to do. I was proud of it. Although I did not have any artificial nerve wires to make me be able to feel my robotic right arm I learned to use it very quickly. By the age of sixteen I manage to get a job Exalt Enterprises.

Exalt was my very life. I have read a ton of books about Lüsett Exalt. She is the reason for my cause, my reason to try to break the boundaries of what is humanly possible. So getting my dream job was a life achievement for me. I started small by just working at the belt at making sure several items were in good shape. From my pay I managed to buy clean metal and electronics straight from Exalt Enterprises at a discount and managed to build myself a working right eye. Not only that but proper metal for my right arm.

I was the happiest boy alive once I was able to import new shining metal to my right arm, making movement and handling so much more smoother. My boss noticed my potential and moved me to fixing any robotic machine that was broke down while working. The next ten years were nothing but hard work for me, but I managed to work myself up the branch and even went as far as to work for the CEO of Exalt Enterprises, children from Lüsett herself. Cloned children. Not the same.

All but lies and false prophets. Until the age of 28 I worked for the Enterprise and learned a lot there too, I have spent my entire life learning everything there was possible to learn about AI but I would have never thought that I could learn this much. Compared to Aecu’s AI the one that was made to create Avanix was just way supirior. At home I used my new learned traits to create something of my own, but that was much harder than what I did at work, this is something beyond simple AI. I have managed to catch someone's attention, my name must have been flowing around. I was offered a job at XSDF as a lead engineer. I have heard of XSDF before. They pretty much work in space. Space was never my thing but the pay was about ten times better than what I would receive here on Earth so I accepted. So the next three years I would go through space training and at the age of 30 I joined XSDF.

My name is Alexander Von Braun, Chief of engineering staff for XSDF. I have lived most of my live on Earth. I love the creation of androids or robots. It’s like creating a life of your own, it makes you feel like a god. But are you truely a god just for creating AI life? My goal has never changed since I was ten. They say that the limit of creating an AI has been reached. But I’m here to change that. The limit has been reached several times. Many have managed to breach that limit and set the horizon for a new limit. I’m here to break the next wall. How you might ask? By walking back to the last wall and picking someone up to help me along the way.

Personal History: Born in Edinburgh to a singing instructor and a stay-at-home mom with four siblings, Abigail learned how to get attention and raise hell from an early age, often engaging in mischief throughout her school years and adolescent life. She enlisted at the age of 19, citing that she felt college was too boring to hold her attention. Her tactical merits allowed her to quickly ascend the soldier ranks, culminating in her admittance to Officer Training School in 2039. She is generally held in high regard by her former squadmates for her emphasis on safety, squad cohesion, and decisiveness.

Concerns and Injuries:
Kirchner has been injured in combat three times this year – knife wound on left bicep, one laser shot in right hip, and one plasma shot on right calf. This tends to be standard, as she collects two or three injuries a year in her duties, in addition to the more serious procedures in her file. Kirchner was reprimanded in 2029 for punching a member of her unit, though further disciplinary action was deemed unnecessary due to the circumstances.

Qualifications and Skills: Kirchner is a masterful field commander with the ability to visualize battlefields and formulate flexible plans quickly, so much so that people beneath her command have an informal motto when trying to keep up with them: ‘In Abby We Trust.’ She is also one of the fastest officers we have, able to run several hundred yards at a professional athlete’s pace before tiring. Competes in sharpshooting and trick-shooting with her shotgun during leave.

Personality Assessment: Kirchner is emotional, impulsive, and at times, reckless. If it wasn’t for her tactical know-how, she would undoubtedly be dead or fired by now. She is quick to take matters into her own hands, and spends just as much time in the vanguard as her rookies. Although irregular for an officer and she has been urged to not take unnecessary risks, it is hard to argue with her results.

Analysis for Promotion: Staff believes that while Captain Kirchner is a passionate and valuable field commander, she is unsuited for a larger role. She cares intensely about singular losses, which makes her poor for big picture planning, and she herself has expressed that she would rather die on the front line than stay behind a desk. Although Brea has a personal interest in Kirchner, it is this office’s opinion that she should be kept in her current position.

Name: Camellia Marigold Cross.
Nickname: 'Winter'
Title/Role: Base Therapist
Age: 22 (Appears 21)
DoB: January 9th, 2022
Sex: Female
Place of Birth: New York City, New York.
Nationality: White/American.
Height: 5'5"
Weight: 137 lbs
Hair Color: White (Dyed) Brown (Natural)
Hair Style : Medium length hair tied back with two front bangs.
Hair Length: To the Base of neck.
Eye Color: Violet.
Immediate Family: Mother: Ammelia Cross, 48. Mother: Buniq Cross, 42 . Grandfather: David Cross, 77

Place of Residence before XSDF: Cross Technologies Tower, New York City, New York.

Appearance: Camellia has a fairly average build, not exactly skinny but certainly not someone you could call fat with a bust slightly larger than her mother Ammelia's C cup. Thanks to her hybrid mother's DNA, Camellia is one fourth Chryssalid. This shows through violet plates of chitin on her upper arms and back along with slight bulges on both her lower arms caused by barely formed, useless blades under her skin. Camellia's plates are much smaller than her mother's and much less visible, they also cannot be raised through her skin to protect her like her mother's can, as there are much fewer plates to work with. Winter also loved playing Dungeons and Dragons with her parents whenever she could, growing quite fond of the elven races in the game. As such, she underwent a surgery during her college years that pointed her ears, she combined this with her white hair dye to achieve a 'high elf' type of look.

Personality: Camellia is much more willful than both of her mothers, making her want to take charge of situations and call the shots, even when she isn't in the position to do so exactly. Even so, she is calm and intelligent when she needs to be, but prefers not to stay that way all the time as she finds it boring. Camellia has many friends and has always been a social girl with an optimistic personality like her mother Ammelia, but while being born into the business world made Ammy more polite, it made Camellia much more adventurous and daring. Watching her mother and grandfather play with such high stakes excited Winter greatly, causing her to love taking risks when she could and making the most of her day-to-day. Her Aunt Mary only increased this love of adrenaline, taking her on roller coasters and various other forms of risky fun every time she visited, despite worrying both of her mothers. Winter is a psion and loves using her violet psionics more than anything, she practices with them as much as she can and enjoys the act of controlling people, so much so that it has grown into a sort of fetish of hers that she keeps a secret from the rest of her family, lest they think of her as weird. She, however, has learned from her mother Ammelia the danger's of her abilities and knows full well not to forcefully control someone unless absolutely necessary, therefore, Camellia will ask the permission of the person she wants to control before trying it, warning them that she will be in complete control and telling them how long she will make it last before breaking them out of it. Camellia is an Empathetic girl that likes to help people whenever she can, this is what sparked her interest in becoming a psychiatrist instead of following her hobby into a career as a singer.

Biography: Camellia was born with the help of Elene Exalt, who took the Dna of two veterans of the X-Com project, Ammelia Cross and the human/alien hybrid clone Buniq. Because of this, Camellia became one fourth chryssalid, but despite this, her two mothers loved her more than anything. Camellia's early life was very loving, with both her parents playing with and taking care of her everyday. She learned to walk and speak earlier than most children, quickly indicating to her parents how fast of a learner she was. Her Violet psionics developed soon after this, following the same trend she proved to quickly grasp her abilities, thanks in large part to the constant support and aid of both her mother's, despite Ammelia's nervousness about her daughter's strange proficiency in mind control and suggestion. This theme continued into her school years, easily picking up everything that was taught to her and making many friends. Unfortunately, this changed as she started middle school as word of her strange upbringing and alien DNA spread around. She was picked on and bullied much, that was, until her mother Ammelia, now CEO of Cross Technologies, bought almost 30% of the NAU's government. The day after, all the kids that were picking on her either quickly tried to befriend her, or avoided her completely, fearing they would face her mother's wrath. Camellia became one of the most popular girls in school almost overnight, but never had very many people she could call 'true' friends, realizing that most of them were probably just trying to get on her good side because of her family's notorious political power. During middle and high school, Camellia discovered her love of singing, joining the choir at her school she found herself to be a talented alto singer. She followed this passion into high school and was recognized by a few colleges for her talents. She skipped two grades, 7th and 10th and graduated with many scholarship opportunities, taking one and heading to college to get a bachelors degree in psycology thanks to her mother's suggestions about how she could use her mind control and suggestion to help people. Winter took her time through college and graduated in four years, leaving her home at Cross tech behind for the time being and living on campus, wanting to know what it was like to live away from home. She threw parties and met two different love interests, both of whom she found out only wanted to be with her because of her family's status. During her college years, Camellia taught herself how to combine her suggestion with her singing to almost hide the effect, letting her lull her target into it much more easily. She preferred this method over issuing simple commands as it was much more calming, much less forceful, and made it harder to realize what she was doing, causing it to be more difficult to resist. Winter practiced this ability so much that she had almost perfected it by the time she left. After she left the college she worked as a therapists assistant in New York for two years, using her psionics to treat patients via hypnotherapy until she heard word that XSDF was recruiting. Camellia jumped to the opportunity, wanting to satisfy her sense of adventure and see the vast reaches of space. Her mothers understood why she wanted to be a part of it, and were happy to know that she wasn't going to be put into the field, after all, they knew what she would be getting herself into, having been a part of the war with the Ethereals twenty-five years ago.

Name: Mikhail Dragomirov (Михаил Драгомиров)
Title/Role: XSDF Soldier (Heavy)
Age: 24
DoB: March 4th, 2019
Sex: Male
Place of Birth: St. Petersburg
Nationality: Russian
Height: 1.83 meters (6’0)
Weight: 71 kilograms (156 lbs)
Hair Color: Brown
Hair Style: Short and Straight
Eye Color: Blue
Immediate Family: Modya (Father), Jessica (Mother), Sasha (Fraternal Twin Sister)
Place of Residence before XSDF: St. Petersburg, Russia

Appearance:
Mikhail has a decent build, nothing too massive, but certainly a body of one who takes care of himself, almost like one who has something to protect. He has a high metabolism, which makes it easy to keep in shape but difficult to build muscles at times. He keeps himself well shaven and clean cut. He does not usually assign his wardrobe to any one design in terms of nationality, though he has an old, worn, black Ushanka he enjoys wearing, a hat that has shown a lot of use, and has been repaired many a times.

Personality:
Mikhail has a very protective personality, always worried about those around him while paying little attention to himself. This has caused him problems in the past, resulting in him getting sick or injured out of fear of burdening others. While he isn’t reckless, he struggles with guilt when faced with the thought of someone he cares about suffering in any way, shape, or form. This is especially strong as it applies to family, and can occasionally be seen as being overprotective.

Aside from this personality quirk, Mikhail is a pleasant individual. Both of his parents motivated him to be a social person while growing up, and he found that he has a good deal of charisma, able to win over a crowd with sincere words and a smile. He is always the first to advocate teamwork over all, especially as it pertains to military situations. He likes people, and he has inherited his mother’s tendency to target the loners and anti-social people to push them to be more open.

Biography:
Mikhail was born in Russia, a country that had suffered some of the greatest losses in the Ethereal Subjugation War. This only meant an incredible baby boom, and the threat of overcrowded schools. The government was careful, however, and assistance from the XSDF and Council of Nations to help with this potential issue did something.

Mikhail’s parents always insisted on Mikhail’s sociability, with him understanding later on that it was because of their own socialization problems, which extended into adulthood. His mother had an odd quirk in the form of a second personality known as Alexia. Naturally, growing up with this made it par for the course for him, and he loved his second mother. It was harder for his friends to accept, though his male friends seemed more interested in his mother’s physique, which annoyed him, even if it contributed to his popularity.

Mikhail was often too caught up in his own popularity to notice his sister’s lack of said popularity, and it almost had disastrous results. Always carefree was he, satisfied with his life, that he never knew depression ran in his family until he almost lost his sister to it.

This was the event that kick started Mikhail’s overprotective personality. He kept his eye on Sasha, often from the shadows, though it was likely she knew he was there. He feared his pushiness might drive her away, but cared more about not letting her down again. He was especially harsh on any boys that seemed interested in her, knowing her exceptional physique, inherited from their mother, drew that wrong attention at times. His attention focused so much on his sister’s safety and happiness lost him a number of friends, some of whom had been responsible for him not noticing the plight of his ‘loser sister’. Those that stuck by his side, however, found that he was almost as protective of them as he was of his sister, always devoted to their safety and happiness. This even extended to his friends over seas, including the Walker children he had seen off and on since childhood.

It should surprise no one to find out that the man who grew up in a military family had an interest in the military. His paternal grandfather a tank commander, his father a rocketeer during the Ethereal war, and his mother a scientist during the same war, Mikhail joined the Russian army straight out of high school. Taking after his father, he had an interest in explosives and rockets, and this grew to be his specialty. As Russia was one of the XSDF’s biggest supporters, their army worked hand in hand with a the XSDF’s conflicts, including fights with the Humanity Defense in 2039 and conflicts with the Triads. His closeness with XSDF soldiers led to Mikhail developing respect for the group, but he didn’t think to join them, wanting to stick with his homeland.

It was his sister, interestingly enough, that ended up leading Mikhail to XSDF. She had followed him into the military, something that had displeased him, but with the growing peace with Russia, he felt he could keep an eye on her this way. It was Sasha, however, that made the first move to XSDF, wanting to push herself, as she was tired of her depression holding her back. Mikhail resisted, knowing the dangers of such an organization were far greater, and the idea of his sister, or himself, for that matter, going into space terrified him. His sister’s mind set, Mikhail decided to apply with her. Despite initially only joining for her sake, he soon remembered his respect for the organization, and the positive notes he had received for high school friends who had joined before him. He quickly started to believe that, what he initially did to watch his sister, was actually one of the wisest things he had ever done.

Special Notes:
One of Mikhail’s most prominent bad habits is a tendency to pull out a pack of cigarettes when nervous. He hides it in shame, even amongst others who smoke, and knows that his parents would kill him if they found out he still did it, even as an adult.

Despite his eagerness to do his duty, and the knowledge that it would be an issue, Mikhail suffers from mild astrophobia. He does not like looking out of a ship's windows, avoids cargo bays, shuttle bays, and any room that might have an open door with nothing but a forcefield between him and oblivion as much as possible, and is one of the first to volunteer for any missions that involves being on solid ground.

Name: Brigid O'Brien
Title/Role: Soldier
Age: 32 (appears 26.5)
DoB: Aug 26th, 2011
Sex: Female
Place of Birth: Tipperary, County Tipperary, Ireland
Nationality: Irish
Height: 5' 1"
Weight: 122 lbs
Hair Color: Blond w/ red streaks
Hair Style : To small of back when straight, usually kept in a ponytail
Eye Color: Violet-Blue
Immediate Family: Morrigan O'Brien (Mother), John O'Brien (Father), Galen O'Brien (Brother)
Place of Residence before XSDF:Unknown

Appearance:
Brigid has fair skin and excited, youthful eyes. She keeps her blond hair streaked with red to honor her mother. Unless she is upset, she always seems to smile. She keeps her petite form in excellent shape, and beneath her weak look is a powerhouse.

Personality:
Brigid has a sunny disposition, usually smiling, always outgoing. She has, however, inherited some of her mother's temper, and will snap if pushed too far. She is proud of her figure to some extent, but can be very touchy about a certain part of her anatomy. Caution is suggested around this touchy subject.

Bio:
Born to Morrigan O'Brien and Daniel Hunnigan, two former military officials. The two were divorced when Brigid was only four, a hard thing for a child to go through, but she was fortunate that her parents agreed on how her custody would be handled, and they stayed on good terms.

Shortly after the alien attacks began, Brigid was sent to stay with her maternal grandparents when her father reenlisted to fight the aliens. Her mother, who had rejoined the Irish military after the divorce, had since been made Commander of the XCOM project, and she soon moved Brigid to the safety of the base. However, she was soon targeted by an Incubator spy, controlled by the Ethereal Overseer of Australia, and became her unknowing puppet. Before the Incubator could be dealt with, Brigid had psionics unlocked through the direct contact with a psionic device core and the Ethereal's energy, making her the youngest to ever have their potential unlocked on Earth.

Brigid struggled with maintaining control over her powers, using them responsibly, and the effects they had on her young body, but by war's end, she had a handle on them thanks to the help she received from a number of individuals. Shortly after the XSDF was established, her mother left the project, and the military, to start a peaceful life. Brigid had lost her father during the war, but found peace with her mother and new adoptive father.

Despite her mother's best attempts, Brigid had been exposed to military life for too long, and it caught her eye. This caused the two to drift apart when Brigid hit her teens, and it was only thanks to Brigid's adopted father that they were able to reconcile before Brigid graduated high school and joined the Irish Defense Force.

Despite having high marks all around, and being a much sought after psion (even if her experience with them was low due to lack of use in order to fit in), Brigid asked her mother to get her discharged, not because it was too difficult, but because it lacked the challenge she had expected, the XCOM like excitement she had hoped for. At the age of 22, Brigid left the Irish military and dropped off the face of the Earth, only her family knowing where she was. Evidence shows she traveled the world, and even between colonies, seeking out her former allies from XCOM and learning all she could in every possible field, from psionics, to weapon use, to fighting, to survival.

After ten years, Brigid suddenly appeared at a XSDF recruitment center, and passed their entrance exams and fitness assessments with flying colors. Brigid hopes to put her years of training to good use, and to find the challenge she hoped for with the XSDF.

Special Notes:
Brigid has high marks in most firearms, and can fit most roles. She has had top of the line, rare to get gene-mods in her arms and legs, giving her incredible strength that will always catch an unsuspecting opponent off guard. She is proficient in most red and violet psionics and many blue and orange psionics. However, her energy is often higher than she can handle, even after years of training. She only relies on psionics when necessary, and has regulators that allow her to release her energy in specific degrees, much like a more sophisticated manner of what Aya Brea once used.

Name: Korra Devolina
Title/Role: Soldier (Destroyer)
Age: 21
DoB: July 17th, 2022
Sex: Female
Place of Birth: Belora, Capital City of Ferisanto, Tamear
Race/Nationality: Tamearin/Royal Ferisantan
Height: 5' 7"
Weight: 155 lbs
Hair Color: Deep Red
Hair Style : Long, Flowing, Nearly knee length
Eye Color: Violet
Immediate Family: Foranda Devolina (Mother), Neiro Devolina (Father), Geshtal Devolina (Brother)
Place of Residence before XSDF: Belora, Ferisanto

Appearance:
Like most Tamearin, Korra is in excellent shape, strong, attractive, with curves and assets that catch the eyes of others as soon as she walks into a room, and she isn't afraid to show off. Her hair in particular catches one's eyes, long and lush, a deep blood red. She draws attention with her looks, though when she is actually spoken to...

Personality:
Korea has a very brash attitude. She is inexperienced when it comes to socializing with others, not used to talking to people who don't immediately think there is something wrong with her, and has long since given up trying. She says what she wants with very little censoring, and she is incredibly quick to anger.

Beneath her harsh nature, however, is a decent person who acts out to drive people away, knowing all too well what they might be capable of when they get too close. She is surprisingly defensive of those she believes are in need of help, and has a soft spot for children, at least well behaved ones. She can he incredibly harsh on troublesome children.

Bio:
It was evident from the time Korra was a baby that something was wrong with her, as she cried, laughed, and fussed much more then your average child. Worried their child might be incapable of suppressing her emotions like most Tamearins, the royal house of Devolina did all they could to change this, from tutoring, to assisted psionic training, to pleas to those they could trust to keep their secrets. Nothing worked, and Korra's emotions became more and more of a problem as she grew, and such a public entity as the Devolina's could not keep the child's ailment secret forever.

As Korra entered her former education, the once happy child soon turned miserable. To say Tamearins suppress their emotions is not to say they have no emotions, and childhood in particular is a transitional period in which all children must develop their mental blocks. That said, these children had enough malice and contempt to make Korra's childhood a living hell. She was bullied relentlessly, sometimes violently. Her parents had little time to assist, and could not encourage Korra's negative emotions by acknowledging her growing anger, and her brother considered her a disgrace, either turning a blind eye to her plight, or encouraging her tormentors.

Korra's only friend was her grandmother, Kurli. Aged to the point when Tamearin emotional control broke down, Kurli was a crude woman with a violent temper, and Korra loved her. Korra inherited her sore attitude and foul mouth from her. Kurli was the only person Korra could talk to, and the only one who defended her. Kurli used her position as a respected former chancellor to keep Korra's parents, or their peers, from abandoning Korra, but she sadly passed away when Korra was sixteen.

With their daughter now without her only friend in the world and on the verge of lashing out violently, Korra's parents followed Kurli's dying wish to look outside of Tamear for help. They turned to the humans and the XSDF, requesting they except her and use the human's knowledge of emotions that the Tamearins were now inexperienced with. The heads of the XSDF at the time were reluctant, but they could not refuse the request of Korra's parents, who were currently ambassadors of the Tamearin people.

Korra has spent the last five years in training, a struggle for both her and her instructors, as they have had to be very, very patient. She has finally convinced them to release her for active duty, and she wonders if she can find her place in this alien organization when she couldn't find it in the entirety of her world.

Special Notes:
Korra has shown signs of psionic potential, not surprising considering her race, and her hair color implies she will be a red psion. Like nearly all Tamearins, Korra will completely object to gene-mods and voluntary cybernetics, and is not afraid to voice her opinion.

Korra possess a pair of odd looking swords, like curved, nearly three foot saws on the end of long hilts. A switch on the side of the hilts super heats the teeth with plasma energy, allowing her to cut through most objects like butter. She is incredibly protective of her swords, as they were apparently a gift from her grandmother.

Name: Alice Cassandra Alexandria Blossom Randolf Fischer
Title/Role: Engineer (Soldier if needed)
Age: 25
DoB: Aug 13, 2018
Sex: 'Female'
Place of Birth: XCOM HQ, Somewhere in Siberia, Russia
Race/Nationality: Human Android
Height: 5' 8"
Weight: 300 lbs
Hair Color: Varies (Usual Sliver-Blond)
Hair Style : Varies (Usually Shoulder Length)
Eye Color: Varies (Usually Blue)
Immediate Family: Emily Fischer-Stewart ('Mother'), Jack Stewart ('Father'), Sonya Fischer ('Sister'), Aria Stewart ('Sister), Julian Stewart ('Brother')
Place of Residence before XSDF: The Arkbird

Appearance:
Alice resembles a British woman in her mid twenties. Her synthetic appearance perfected over the years, it is nearly impossible to distinguish Alice from a human. She usually speaks with a slight British accent, but can change it at will.

Alice's body is equipped with a personal atmospheric element condenser mechanism, capable of converting minute particles in the air into matter. While she usually dresses in XSDF standard uniform, she is able to change into any article of clothing and even basic armor at will, as well as change the color and length of her hair.

Personality:
Ever cheerful, ever eager, ever sunny. Alice has a chipper personality, which she shares with those around her. She has some degree of sadness for unknown reasons, but tends to hide it, and hides it well. She is incredibly curious, and is obsessed with learning all she can.

Bio:
An AI originally created as both an assistant and companion for Dr. Sonya Randolf, Alice owes her existence to the research into artificial intelligence by Lusett Exalt. Later given physical substance in the form of a hologram during Dr. Randolf's time with XCOM, Alice soon requested an android body to further her usefulness to the XCOM, as well as further her own wish to become more human. Her wish was granted in August of 2018.

Alice struggled with gaining her humanity while keeping busy, learning from friends, assisting Dr. Randolf in engineering, fighting on the battlefield, and surviving several brushes with death, even being eaten by a giant alien at one point.

When the XCOM project ended, Alice stuck by Dr. Randolf's side for years, along with her friends turned parental figures. She would stay with them for ten years, at which point she finally parted ways with her now grown best friend, ready to continue learning about what it meant to be human on her own.

It was much harder than she thought it would be. Contacts in the XSDF and the Council of Nations gave her the credentials she needed to pass as a normal human, and she relied on them heavily, quickly learning that your average person was not as open minded about artificial life as her friends. Those who found out she was android treated her like one of the aliens, or worse. After all, she was a machine at best, a machine disguised to fool humans at worse. As she journeyed the world, she soon learned to hide the fact that she was an android.

She returned to the XSDF after a heart to heart with her creator turned best friend, acting as an engineer on the Arkbird for the last ten years. Recently, an old colleague in the XSDF requested her to transfer to the Einherjar, and how could Alice refuse a friend.

Special Notes:
Alice is reluctant to share that she is an android, and will insist she is human. She takes lengths to hide her impressive strength, speed, and intelligence. She has her younger body with her, claiming it is a doll when not in use. While not a soldier, she is proficient in all firearms, can fire pulse lasers from her index fingers, and she has a pulse cannon in her palm.

Alice took possession of a former XCOM friend's pet Incubator after the project disbanded. She currently has a ten year old child of said Incubator, named Dinah. Alice possess two devices that allows her to project neutral psionic energy to Dinah, one build into her own body, and another build into Dinah's collar.

Name: Bɒkɒ
Title/Role: Engineering Officer
Age: 11
DoB: Sept. 12th, 2033
Sex: Male
Place of Birth: XSDF Supra Battleship "Starfield"
Race/Nationality: Baʒir, Tatota
Height: 3'9"
Weight: 101 lbs
Eye Color: Yellow
Immediate Family: Tini (Alpha Female), 9 Brothers and 2 sisters
Place of Residence before XSDF: The Starfield

Appearance:
Like his kin, Bɒkɒ looks similar to an anthropomorphic Earth cockroach, with a reddish-brown carapace and six legs, the front four of which can act as arms. Bɒkɒ's race of Baʒir, the Tatota, have eyes that are closer to humanoid eyes then compound, and Bɒkɒ is the one out of ten Tatota that has usable wings, though he can only use them for a few minutes at a time.

Personality:
Like most Baʒir, Bɒkɒ is easily intimidated and frightful. He is well aware of how unpopular his race is because of their appearance, and prefers to remain away from crowds if possible. He is, however, the largest and strongest of his unusually runtish family, and must be slightly braver to look after his siblings when his group's Alpha is away. The only time you will see Bɒkɒ truly acting brave is when he is standing up for his family.

Bio:
Bɒkɒ was born on the Starfield, along with his dozen siblings, and given the freedom to work aboard the ship, or go off to do anything else he wished, at the age of four. Like his siblings, like about 90% of Baʒir, Bɒkɒ chose to stick with the ship he was raised on. He proved himself quite adapt at engineering, smarter then most male Baʒir, with a near photographic memory and the ability to easily multitask. He quite enjoys his work, and would love to do it for his entire life.

Two year ago, his aging mother/alpha female died, and his strongest sister took her place as the new alpha. Tini prefers not to bring outside Baʒir into their pack, wanting to keep it all family. This is not unusual, but it is problematic for Bɒkɒ. Tini is an excellent alpha, and works hard to care for her siblings. Perhaps a little too hard, as she has always had a weak constitution, and gets sick easily, often without informing anyone.

Bɒkɒ is naturally concerned about losing his sister out of love and respect, but it is more personal for him. With Tini reluctant to bring in outsiders, and Bɒkɒ's sisters currently unfit to take Tini's place, Bɒkɒ will have to become the new alpha female should she die. Not only does he not want to change his sex, rather enjoying being male and unable to change back of he does, he enjoys his independent work, something he will lose if he has to become the pack leader.

Bɒkɒ applied to be an official XSDF engineer on the Einherjar to assist those who have provided his family with a home, but it was also to give himself an official title instead of simply being a civilian staff member, hoping to dissuade Tini from expecting him to take her place. While Baʒir usually aren't officer material, and are usually hired as independent, civilian contractors, Bɒkɒ was given a probationary period to assess if he can make it as an engineering officer. If he makes it, he will be the first official Baʒir member of the XSDF.

Whether this will work to dissuade Tini remains to be seen, as a need for new civilian engineers on the Einherjar resulted in Bɒkɒ's entire pack coming with him. Currently, he works with his other two sisters, Nana and Teefa, in the hopes of building them up to take Tini's place.

Special Notes:
Bɒkɒ has minor blue psionics, but has only manifested ESP, and it is unlikely his psionics will expand far beyond that, even if artificially unlocked.

While intimidated by them like the other non-Baʒir, Bɒkɒ has a lot of respect for humans, and has tried, on a very limited basis, to open up a dialogue with them, his minor blue psionics allowing him a limited amount of telepathy. He is especially interested in Japanese people, if only to find out why they always smile when they say his name.

Name: Terratorra
Title/Role: Soldier, Part-Time Science officer
Age: 25
DoB: Dec. 30, 2018
Sex: Male
Place of Birth: Porunga, Centrivers
Race/Nationality: Ardenian
Height: 6'1"
Weight: 240 lbs
Hair Color: Purplish-Blue
Eye Color: Blue
Immediate Family: Poparoma (Mother), Bearanfor (Father)
Place of Residence before XSDF: Porunga, Centrivers

Appearance:
Terratorra is smaller and scrawnier then most Ardenian his age. This is less a sign of his biology and more a sign of his lifestyle. He has purplish-blue fur, and a bored look in his eyes.

Personality:
Terratorra has a spoiled attitude, and delusions of grandeur that exceed the rest of his race. He will do what he is told, but will often complain before, during, and after. That he must work at all is a crime. That he must work with species so much lower then him is cruel and unusual punishment.

Bio:
The son of the largest suppliers of Elerium on Centrivers, Terratorra (TT to his friends) assumed he was set for life growing up. Surely his parents weren't really going to insist on that idiotic rite of passage in order to take over the company, and even if they did, he had a plan, ten years in the making.

And so, TT made it through his education with simply passing grades, having some degree of success in biology but little more, he made no attempts at volunteer work, he didn't even intern at his own family's company. When he reached adulthood, the only means of fulfilling his right of passage was to prove himself in the Centriver military. Easy, when you've arrange so many favors and thrown so much money around.

TT underestimated his parents resourcefulness, intelligence, and access to information. They discovered their son's deception, but too late to do anything about it. Or, so TT believed. Little did he know that, not only did his race start an alignment with a species of aliens known as humans a few years after his birth, but his parents were friends with a top official in the human organization, the XSDF.

Terratorra will prove his worth in the XSDF, and no amount of bribery will get him out of work. He is fortunate that his people are naturally strong, and the Ardenian equivalent to high school is about the same as a four year degree from a human college. He might complain, but his pride will not allow him to look bad when compared to non-Ardenians.

Special Notes:
Terratorra had no psionic potential, and will not unlock any abilities.

TT will resist, especially when it comes to non-Ardenians, but he will do what he is told, and can be put in his place easier then one might believe.

Name: Sasha Dragomirov (Саша Драгомиров)
Title/Role: XSDF Soldier, Support Class
Age: 24 (Appears 21)
DoB: March 1st, 2019
Sex: Female
Place of Birth: St. Petersburg
Nationality: Russian
Height: 1.65 meters (5’5)
Weight: 58.5 kilograms (129 pounds)
Hair Color: Brown
Hair Style : To just below the Shoulders (Green Tips)
Eye Color: Dark Green

Immediate Family: Modya (Father, 51), Jessica (Mother, 43), Mikhail (Fraternal Twin Brother, 24)
Place of Residence before XSDF: St. Petersburg, Russia

Appearance: (Measurements - 36D-27-32)

Sasha has just about as much contrast as her mother does with her split personality. She tries to maintain an athletic build, but sometimes ends up too thin from neglecting to eat as much as she should. This has made her build somewhere between small and medium, though, like her mother, a good amount of it has gone to her chest.

Personality:

Sasha has the potential to be cheerful and energetic, but often this is buried by her tendency to be depressed. Although the former was more characteristic of her early childhood, by middle and high school she kept mostly to herself, having been burned by those she thought were friends. Even taking medicine, it is difficult for her to lighten her mood, even if she maintains a happy facade to placate her brother.

Biography:

Amidst tumult in the damaged yet rebuilding nation that was Russia after the Ethereal War, two twins were born to a veteran of the war and a scientist from XCOM. They were Mikhail Dragomirov and Sasha Dragomirov, the One who is like God and the Defender of Humanity. Sasha didn’t exactly see herself in such a grand light, however, being one of many children born during the post-war baby boom. Her presence in a family of military heroes did much to instill her with a sense of Dragomirov pride, however.

As a young child, she was fairly happy. She had two caring parents, and while they were at work she spent her time happily with her grandparents, Stanimov and Katya, who were always pleasant to be around. In elementary school she did better than Mikhail, held back by his socialization problems. She made many friends, including one she could always trust to be at her side, a girl her age named Irina. Although soft spoken and exuding the stereotype of an academic introvert, not helped by her glasses, Irina was a loyal friend that supported Sasha, even if she seemed hesitant to join in with the Dragomirov’s other acquaintances.

Her friend’s hesitance would prove to not be without cause. In middle school, things changed drastically for Sasha, in more ways than one. Her split nationality began to be noticed more by her peers, as did her developing body, which drew the wrong kind of attention from boys and resentment from her female friends. Bullied and even sexually harassed on occasion, Sasha began to distance herself from others as teachers did little and she couldn’t bring herself to tell her parents. Her happiness began to fade as Mikhail’s popularity grew, giving his sister some resentment of her own.

Her only solace was in Irina, ever unwavering in her support of Sasha, even when Exalt Enterprise technology helped her eyes function as properly as anyone else’s. Despite no longer looking the part of a ‘geek’, Irina refused to leave Sasha’s side, despite losing any chance at being popular or having many other friends. Sasha clung to this singular friend like a lifeline, though her parents began to realize something was wrong when their daughter no longer talked about school, and her grades began to plummet.

By the time she entered high school, her ‘other’ mother, Alexia, could no longer stand by and wait for Sasha to be honest on her own strength of will. Confronting Sasha, Jessica’s alternate personality recieved the truth in a tearful confession, and immediately spurred Modya and Jessica into action. The school could not do much to punish her tormentors for past grievances, but being able to talk to a therapist seemed to ease Sasha’s heartache a little. This gave her time to study a bit more, taking a mixed interest in electronics and medical technology.

In tenth grade this simply wasn’t enough, though. Irina grew dangerously ill, and was taken to a special care hospital for extensive treatment, leaving Sasha completely alone at school. Jessica’s work preoccupied her more than ever with breakthroughs in sight, and Modya was kept from noticing her worsening condition by missing the majority of this, visiting the XSDF headquarters. Caught in this perfect storm, treated terribly by other students and being told she was worthless by her teachers, Sasha broke down.

On a particularly gloomy Thursday, Sasha returned home to a house lacking either of her parents, both currently away. She hardly spoke to Mikhail, wanting nothing to do with the popular kid that couldn’t understand how she felt, how hopeless her situation was. Finding herself in her parents’ room, she unlatched the simple electric lock on a drawer next to the bed, finding her father’s old Makarov pistol lying within. Pressing the barrel against the side of her head, Sasha was only stopped from pulling the trigger by the door opening, and Modya freezing in terror.

He begged her not to do it, doing whatever he could to plead with his daughter not to take her life. After what seemed like an eternity to Modya, Sasha lost her grip on the gun, and he rushed forward, kicking away the gun and embracing her tightly. Neither he nor his wife made the same mistake of holding back again. They were able to have their daughter diagnosed with clinical depression and promptly get her on medication to ease her suffering, as well as taking a more active role in helping her through her tough times.

Jessica worked mostly from home, putting some of her efforts towards assisting the doctors caring for Irina. Modya made sure to take more time off his job so that he could always brighten Sasha’s day by being there when she came home, happy or sad. Mikhail was guilt ridden when he found out what happened, and threw away most of his ‘popularity centered’ friends in order to keep an eye on his sister, partially blaming himself for what happened. This was enough to push her to do better in school, and despite having a bad reputation as a slacker, she persevered and was getting mid-to-high B’s in her classes, even an A in her science classes.

Despite this, Sasha wasn’t quite sure what to do when she graduated. Her inspiration came when Mikhail joined the military. She had her misgivings about following her brother, but realized that it was a golden opportunity to do more and carry on the family tradition. Reaching out to this glimmer of a sense of purpose, Sasha sighed up for the Russian army, following her brother into service.

Training camp was especially tough for her, being as that her mental fragility was not taken into account by the drill sergeants. One of them did eventually take pity on her, realizing special training would be required if she was ever to be forged into a real soldier. His will to help her wasn’t going to be enough with many other able-bodied baby boomers ready to serve, unfortunately. Seeing a ghost of a chance, however, he convinced Sasha to volunteer for psionic testing when it looked like she might not make it through the academy.

Sasha went into the pod, and came out a week later to the news that she possessed the strength of mind to manipulate reality, the strange power known as psionics. Hers were not particularly strong, nothing the young Russian woman could compare to figures of renown like Canada’s Atka Ipiktok, the reclusive Desmond Walker in California, or the woman named Emily Fischer living somewhere in New Hampshire. Sasha’s newfound determination, even not incredibly strong like her powers, didn’t let her give in, however.

Having psionics made her much more valuable to the military, and they overlooked some of her mental weaknesses. She wasn’t exactly thrown into the frontlines, though. Trained to stand behind others and assist them with her supernatural abilities, Sasha found herself using smoke cover to help breach some of the last enclaves of Humanity’s Defense, or help save civilians from rubble using her developing telekinesis. She didn’t develop her first ability as much as the other, however, not finding many situations where a rift would be useful after the anti-alien faction fell.

Although initially only helping take them down out of a normal duty to obey orders, Sasha found herself and other psionic soldiers the target of ‘anti-transhumanist’ sentiments that made her realize the shared plight between psions and the extraterrestrial visits. Her mother’s enthusiasm about them pushed her further along this train of thought, and helped her come to sympathize with the aliens. In a more peaceful collaborative effort with the XSDF, she had a chance to meet one of the Balmadaar from their homeworld, growing to like the brutish humanoids while being a bit bothered by the abrasive nature of the Replitians.

As the world began to quiet down further, Sasha realized that if she was to take the next step, to truly make a difference and prove to herself that she was capable of doing more, she would have to join the eXtra-Stellar Defense Force. Mikhail was opposed to the idea, worried about the danger his sister was putting herself in, but came to understand that it was something she had to do.

Name: Hermes Arcwright
Title/Role: XSDF Soldier, Paratrooper Class
Age: ? (Appears 18)
DoB: ?
Sex: Male
Place of Birth: ?
Race/Nationality: Android of Unknown Origin
Height: 1.96 meters (6'5)
Weight: 98 kilograms (216 lbs)
Eye Color: Lava Red
Place of Residence before joining the XSDF: Battleship of Unknown Origin

Appearance:

Hermes has pale, nearly white synthetic skin on his primary frame that covers internals designed to match the human body. He has cybernetics instead of muscles, power flow instead of blood, a processing computer instead of a brain, and a power core instead of a heart. Interestingly, he does have a digestive system of sorts, though this seems more for mimicry than actual use.

The android has armor on his person that is removeable, but not easily so. He has black boots curving downward, with small silver wings on either side of the back of the shoes. His leg armor is streamlined and mostly dark gray, with dark red, triangular kneecaps. Hermes' gauntlets are black on the fingers, dark gray rimming around the back of the hand and palm, with red in the center as well as a set of curved protrusions like secondary wings going backwards. The same curiousity can be found on the back of his leg armor.

Perhaps the most interesting part of his gear is the primary portions of the armor, however. The attached metal could be compared to something between archangel and seraph armor, not just for armor quality. On the back of the stylized chestplate, bearing black, dark gray, and red patterns like the rest of his armor, Hermes has a set of triangular black wings with red designs on them, attached to an elerium-powered jetpack.

The final piece, the helmet, is most designed like that of a knight. It bears a spot for a plume like the helmet of a roman soldier, but the lowerable visor complete with reinforced glass seems to be patterned after an English or German variant.

Personality:

Although he can feel pain, Hermes usually has such receptors off during battle. This can make him a little reckless, but he will remember his limits...most of the time. He is kind, having a sense of empathy surprising for a machine, and usually gets along with others, being particularly courteous towards women. The android can be a bit brash and quick to act, but has his logical side as well. He is very curious, both about others and his forgotten past. This does mean that he struggles with personal demons that he can't explain as he tries to make since of the bits and pieces of his memory that remain intact.

Biography:

[Missing Data]

The crew of the Megaladon were lured to the Sikanah System by the original owner of the Ethereal battleship, Iucidium. Attacking viciously with his personal Overseer craft, two battleships, and a fighter escort from a carrier, he made short work of the Megaladon. His revenge was nearly completed before Hermes and his companions even made it to the hangar to attempt to board the enemy ships. Jishin and Manishak were lost in the void of space when part of the hull was destroyed, and the escape pods' entry thrusters were all damaged. Only Hermes had a chance of surviving impact, and thus Grazia made her choice, forcibly saving Hermes, leaving him to only be able to watch as the ship was destroyed utterly a minute later.

The crash damaged Hermes's processor, seemingly wiping out his memories. Confused and dazed on an unfamiliar world, he did not know what to do.

Name: Vindicta Exalt
Title/Role: Staff Member, Scientist (Head of the psionic subdivision and second-in-command of the science department)
Age: 24 (Appears 21)
DoB: September 30th, 2019
Sex: Female
Place of Birth: Almería, Spain
Race/Nationality: Australian (American descent)
Height: 1.70 meters (5’7)
Weight: 59 kilograms (131 lbs)
Hair Color: White (Dyed)
Hair Style : To the middle of her back
Eye Color: Light Blue
Immediate Family: Elene (Mother, 43), Markus (Father, 49), Mark (Younger Brother, 20)
Place of Residence before XSDF: Exalt Headquarters (Sydney Branch), Australia

Appearance:

Vindicta has a refined appearance to her, wearing formal white clothing, whether it be a uniform, dress, or just lab attire. Unlike the other Exalt women, her eyes are not modified with the serum developed by Lusett for specialized eyesight, so she retains a distinctive blue color to them. Despite her white-dyed hair, she looks young, and is certainly as attractive (one of the many things she got from her mother, being mostly a clone of the EE president)

Personality:

Vindicta has a somewhat cold and dispassionate outlook expected by a scientist, particularly and Exalt scientist, but that is not to say she lacks emotion. On the contrary, thanks to not being speed-grown, she has plenty of it. New developments are naturally exciting for her, setbacks are frustrating, and she has a bit of that Exalt arrogance. She has a distinct respect for psions, however, and is more patient and understanding than her mother tends to be.

Biography:

Vindicta’s existence is a curious one. Originally, the Ethereals had won the war against humanity and conquered the planet due to wiping out the majority of XCOM’s forces in a bombardment of their base. Elene and her sisters perished, and thus a secret project was activated to create an Exalt successor, Vindicta. Along with Atka Ipiktok, she managed to send one of their agents back in time to give XCOM a warning that changed the course of history. The XCOM forces fled their base in advance, and ultimately won the war due to this second chance.

The last words of the messenger from the future were “Vindicta wishes to live”, words meant for Elene, who knew their significance as the clone that wouldn’t exist without her death… unless she changed the activation parameters. Deciding that she would not accelerate the clone’s growth, but she would indeed create Vindicta, Elene activated the project.

And thus, in this strange manner, the first daughter of the founder of Exalt Enterprises was born. Her DNA was only that of her mother’s, save for her eyes being the light blue of her father, Markus. Vindicta had a prosperous childhood, living in luxury. Elene made sure that she would not become lazy, having the original human A.I. Avanix educate Vindicta in a variety of fields. It wasn’t as easy as it was for her mother, as Vindicta didn’t have cranial implants, but her natural intelligence was plenty.

The only pitfall was how busy her parents were with work. Markus was home more often, but often acted as the public relations officer for EE, and her mother was naturally busy as president of the corporation. However, with Avanix helping running affairs, Elene did find a day or two of the week to spend with her family. When Vindicta was four, she received a brother, Mark. The two got along, though whenever Mark would come to her for help, the older sister often had a tinge of condescension in her tone.

The young girl showed a potential for psionics by the time she was ten, though Elene wisely waited until she was older to develop them. In the meantime, Vindicta curiously learned more about these powers she reputably could possess. She noted that while her mother had some information compiled on the subject, no one had wrote a definitive overview of psionics… save for a woman named Jeanne that served with XCOM and had delved deep into the skill’s inner workings.

Gathering that information and what limited files from Aetherum that she could, Vindicta taught herself everything she could about psionics in addition to her regular education from Ava. By the time she was sixteen and was awakened artificially, she was more than ready to wield her abilities. Being a yellow psionic fit rather well with her, being as Jeanne put it “the psionic shade suggesting wisdom”.

At the age of 18 Elene’s daughter went to college on Luna, renowned for her family name and her psionic skills (including electrokinesis, telekinetic fields, and developing abilities in neighboring colors). Avanix in her physical form accompanied Vindicta, both as an assistant and to make sure her time on the prestigious colony didn’t make her ego unmanageable. It was a wise decision, and with Avanix’s help, Vindicta learned how to argue her points logically with the conceited youths that made up her peers.

She earned a degree in the fledgling field of psionic science and was adept in other scientific studies. Vindicta had considered what to do after her four years in college, and ultimately decided on joining the XSDF. She was noticeably surprised by the fact that she became someone’s subordinate, but Avanix’s coaching kept her from losing her cool… even if the head of the science department was the head of another company.

Name: Irina Beaumont
Title/Role: XSDF Staff Member, Doctor
Age: 24 (Appears 21)
DoB: August 16th, 2018
Gender: Female
Place of Birth: Moscow
Nationality: French (Family moved to Russia)
Height: 1.68 meters (5'6)
Weight: 58 kg (128 lbs)
Hair Color: Black
Hair Style: To the base of her neck (Slightly wavy)
Eye Color: Hazel
Immediate Family: Gregory (Father, 48), Therese (Mother, 46), Kliment (Brother, Deceased)
Place of Residence before joining the XSDF: Apartment in the town of Stella in the colony of Novum

Appearance (BWH Measurements - 32C-23-30):

Irina has a thin frame that is sometimes unassuming, and sometimes draws attention. Although she is beautiful, she doesn't often show it off, wearing simple clothing like a black shirt with long sleeves and long gray pants, sometimes with a fuzzy dark gray coat. She tends to favor darker colors, only wearing white medical clothing when at work. Irina doesn't fall into the emo stereotype though, abhorring eyeshadow and usually forgoing most makeup products.

Personality:

The Beaumont daughter is soft spoken and shy, but intensely loyal. She is the type of person that would take a bullet for a dear friend or family member without hesitation. Despite this, she does not make friends easily, lacking refined social skills or the courage to meet new people on her own. Even if she fears interacting with people, she doesn't dislike them, doing her best to heal any under her care. On her own, Irina listens to classical music and plays the clarinet, not that she would likely tell you either of those things.

Biography:

Although Irina was born in the ravaged city of Moscow, still suffering from deep wounds inflicted by the alien invaders, no one in her family was truly Russian. Gregory and Therese Beaumont were French immigrants, having left their old country for new economic horizons. Irina's father was a craftsman, her mother a musician, and both hoped that their distinctly foreign talents would be valued in the capital. And they were, though that is not to say the two did not know how to assimilate.

Their firstborn child was a son they gave a Russian name, Kliment. By the time he was four, he received a sister in Irina. The two seemed like ideal siblings, occasionally squabbling but truly caring about each other. Kliment was the athletic boy, and Irina the studious girl with glasses. And then, on November 11th of 2024, Kliment fell gravely ill to a sudden malady. The doctors couldn't understand what was wrong with him, and three days later, he was dead. Poor Irina, only five at the time, was heartbroken and couldn't understand why she could no longer see her brother. Only gradually did she come to understand what had transpired.

Any social skills she might have shown were lost with this early tragedy, and Irina became something of an outcast, choosing to stay inside and study rather than play with the other children. Her parents worried, but came to realize that Irina was coping in her own way. She was happy learning in school and being taught how to play an instrument by her mother, despite not having friends to speak of.

In fifth grade, after her family moved to St. Petersburg, she naturally joined the band, making tepid friends but never really seeking to get to know them better. Being the shy new kid, only one person in particular did she find herself able to identify with, a Russian-American named Sasha Dragomirov. The two became fast friends, keeping in touch even after Sasha realized that she was a poor musician and dropped out of band. Irina kept herself distant from Sasha's friends, fearing that they were not as kind as they let on. She gradually saw them grow into bullies during middle school, and grew more worried by Sasha turning a blind eye to their behavior at first.

They eventually turned on Sasha, but even as she felt as if she was losing all her friends, Irina was there for her, offering quiet reassurances. Even when things started to improve for Irina, namely having corrective surgery that gave her 20/20 vision back, the two's bond did not break. But as fate would have it, Irina was dragged away from Sasha during high school. The same disease that struck her brother wrapped its claws around her life and squeezed. Irina was rushed to a hospital, where advancing treatment kept her alive longer than her brother. Even so, it seemed as if Irina was destined to die too.

In this moment of hopelessness, a savior appeared for her. Having received a pleading call from Sasha's mother, a medical expert from Exalt Enterprises, one of the sisters named Lily Exalt, came to do what she could for Irina. Arriving in St. Petersburg, Lily came to understand what was the cause of Irina's sickness. She suffered from the same illness that her brother once did. Having developed something of a solution, Lily gave Irina treatment for the malady, though the latter felt a twang of guilt that her brother could not be saved in time, and she had lived where he had died.

Irina returned to school just in time to graduate with her dear friend Sasha. Ever studious, she had done her best to keep up with her studies, even in the hospital. And this devotion didn't go unnoticed, Lily offering to sponsor the 18 year old to go to a prestigious medical school on Luna. At first, Irina tried to decline, but after support for the idea by her parents and Lily revealing her desire to have the young woman work for her afterwards, Irina accepted the offer.

The young woman found that her introversive nature served her well there. Turned off by the arrogance of her peers and others on the colony, Irina was actually better off not making friends and concentrating on her studies. Graduating at 22, she spent her residency working in a town named Stella. It wasn't a boring two years there. Irina was fascinated by the oxygen pockets that made up the colony's 'sweet spots' for civilization, as well as the wildlife adapted to the nitrogen-shrouded hills surrounding the bastions of humanity.

Her expertise served the colony citizens well as she took care of normal medical problems and had to adapt to some of the alien diseases on the planet. Her skill in dealing with the problems she faced, her calm demeanor and innovative nature were all qualities that got her noticed by the XSDF. And although Lily was a bit disappointed to see her prodigy stolen, for now at least, she wasn't about to stop Irina from joining the eXtra-Stellar Defense Force.

Special Notes:

Eyes repaired to full range of vision by a normal human. Irina doesn't have qualms about genetic modification or cybernetic enhancements as long as they aren't used purely for war. She is a bit wary of psionics, not able to understand how they work, but has no ill will towards psions. She hasn't met many aliens, so expect her to be curious upon meeting new races, even if she's unlikely to approach them initially.

Name: Kallpa Vizcarra
Title/Role: XSDF Soldier, Gunner Class
Age: 21 (Appears 19)
DoB: August 28th, 2022
Sex: Male
Place of Birth: Cusco, Peru
Race/Nationality: Peruvian
Height: 1.84 meters (6’1)
Weight: 77 kilograms (170 lbs)
Hair Color: Black
Hair Style : Buzzcut
Eye Color: Brown
Immediate Family: Aaron (Father, 52), Qhawa (Mother, 50), Rawul (Older Brother, 24), Yulanda (Younger Sister, 19), Lesli (Youngest Sister, 17)
Place of Residence before XSDF: (Middle Land) in the colony of Admanem on Mars

Appearance:

Kallpa has something of a ‘strongman’ build, having impressive muscles from farm work and working out, though nothing to the level of a professional wrestler or Olympic weightlifter. He has characteristic short, stubble-y black hair and piercing brown eyes, and is usually smiling genuinely or with some sort of joke in mind.

Personality:

The Peruvian is known for his often too-honest nature, being a blessing and a curse, as well as his quick wit and subsequent ability to come up with several jokes on the spot. This helps him stay calm during tense situations, though it can sometimes rub others the wrong way that think he isn’t taking a situation seriously. When push comes to shove, though, he can be expected to get the job done, seeing any of his comrades as an extension of his family (with the exception of any women he’s interested in).

Biography:

Kallpa grew up in the former capital of the Incan Empire, the valley town of Cusco. The town he was born to, once a grand bastion of civilization in its heyday, had long since become a backwater. It was doing better in these days due to tourism, though. Machu Picchu provided a source of income that gave the little town life, though it retained its rural nature in many ways.

For one, Kallpa had a large family, his parents Aaron and Qhawa having four total children. There was Kallpa’s eldest brother, Rawul, three years older than him, and his sisters Yulanda and Lesli (two and four years younger than him, respectively). They didn’t have a very prestigious education, Cusco offering the basic necessities for a school and not too much else, preparing its students for a simple life. For the most part, the Vizcarras didn’t mind, their family used to this way of life.

For his early years, Kallpa had a routine of sorts. He would try to impress his older brother (and often fail), tease his sisters and be teased back, and he would help out with agricultural work when he wasn’t busy to pass the time. It wasn’t an easy life, but it was a fulfilling one, and he didn’t imagine it being any other way. That was, until the founding of Adamantem.

Kallpa’s parents saw a chance in the Mars colony for a new life, perhaps better conditions than they had in Cusco, as well as another idea that stirred in the hearts of many Native Americans. Packing up what they owned, the Vizcarras joined in the second wave of colony ships travelling to Adamantem in droves, marking 2031 as a busy year. Nine-year-old Kallpa did miss his old home and friends, though some came with him on this journey. Despite this, he had a sense of awe, being among the stars and soon to land on a strange new land.

The reality of Adamantem didn’t seem so grandiose at first. Starting out as a central hub shielded by a biodome, the budding farmlands were cloistered together, and conditions were packed. Advancing technology eased this overcrowding quickly, and by 2032 a second biodome was positioned south of the initial landing zone. Many claiming Incan or Aztec heritage traveled to that one in particular, dubbing it Mediotierra, or the ‘middle land’ after their homelands in Mesoamerica.

Kallpa’s life began to return to something familiar, but also new and beautiful. He still tried to impress the older members of his family, and joked around with his younger sisters, working to help sow these new fields. But instead of walking through patchwork streets caught between past and present, a true blend had emerged in the town center of Mediotierra.

Modern buildings with air conditioning and the amenities of the 21st century were build in the architectural styles of the Aztecs, the Maya, and the Inca. People shopped in market centers resembling road stops of the extensive network of roads built by the people of the Andes, scientists worked and looked to the stars from pyramids like those on the Yucatan peninsula, and places of gathering were approaching the grandiose temples of the Mexica. It felt like stepping into the past armed with the tools of the future, and Kallpa loved every second of it.

With a better education system in place, Kallpa began expanding his horizons at the age of eleven. He loved working on the farms, but began to dream of something more. Watching old western films and witnessing the frontier justice of this new ‘wild west’ firsthand, the boy began to think a path of law enforcement was the way to go for him. Pursuing that line of thought, he make himself stronger, forging himself into something of the local strongman.

This, of course, caught the eye of girls his age. His strength and quick-witted sense of humor earned him many admirers, though Kallpa could never settle on one in particular. This was something that his brother, while proud of him, disapproved of, not liking the idea of his brother as a playboy that wasn’t interested in a real relationship. Rawul sicced Yulanda and Lesli on him, who taught Kallpa how to treat a woman right.

Kallpa established more lasting relationships, having a few girlfriends over the next few years, though he still had trouble finding ‘the right one’, earning him the title of a ‘hopeless romantic’ from Yulanda, and a ‘basic idiot’ from Lesli. Although he looked up to authority figures in fiction and reality, one person in particular piqued his interest.

Watching old videos of the Ethereal war, Kallpa found himself looking up to one of the three psionics that lead the charge in many a battle, Desmond Walker. Although he was neither a famous Colonel nor had an Ethereal ally, the engineer always seemed to have a practical solution. His bravery and struggles alongside XCOM inspired Kallpa, and he often modeled himself after Desmond (to a reasonable extent). Little did he realize he would become more like Walker soon.

Graduating from high school, Kallpa naturally gravitated into the loose, sheriff-like police force. Starting out as a deputy, he patrolled his home region of Mediotierra, keeping the peace. Crime was rare, though it did find him standing in its way on occasion. From chastising people spray-painting walls to taking down petty thieves, it was not as exciting as he expected, but he enjoyed it nevertheless, always positive. On June 17th of 2043, he found his real battle.

A gunman wielding a stolen autolaser was holding up a bank like some scene from one of Kallpa's westerns. The deputy and sheriff, a woman named Jianna, went to deal with the situation. The tellers and users of the bank, twelve in total, had no means of escape, and the perpetrator was too tense to back down. Realizing he was unstable and close to breaking, Jianna charged in wearing carapace armor, distracting the robber. Unfortunately, this meant she was shot at, having thrown her smoke grenade to cover the civilians.

The SAW laser blasts tore through her leg and battered her armor, sending the sheriff crashing to the ground. Without a second thought, though, Kallpa was following as the enraged robber turned to fire on the civlians. A laser pistol and autolaser exchanged fire, and when the smoke cleared, the criminal was writhing on the ground in pain, and Kallpa was missing his left arm.

When the two peacekeepers awoke, they were briefly asked if they wanted to receive replacements for their limbs. Both agreed, though unlike Jianna, Kallpa asked for something other than a synthetic appendage. He managed to get a tier one cybernetic arm, metallic like the limb Desmond had. That similarity wasn't his reason, though. Kallpa knew that having the metallic arm would make him a bit more imposing, and in a sense, badass. A few eyebrows were raised, but the police office agreed, knowing it would only make him a more effective cop.

Jianna soon retired, not really craving another situation like that, and Kallpa rose to sheriff, becoming known both ominously and jokingly as the "Coyote with the Metal Paw" by the Mexican residents. He took a young deputy under his wing, teaching them his own style. By 2044, when he felt they were ready, the Coyote surprisingly retired, reaching out to the XSDF for membership. It was time for him to take the next step, he thought, to travel to new worlds and keep the peace wherever he went.
