We have a very strong group of about 5 players including me that play civ 5 almost everyday. We are super excited for civ beyond earth coming out this month. Do you think civ 5 could be role played in some way?

You guys should make a world map like in xcom and assign players to each country or a few. Giving the a GM the option of randomly creating a events and rasing threat/panic level to be included into the next published post. Later we can combine all the stories to create like a xcom season book...

If I can chime in. You guys need a RPGM (role playing game master). Someone that sets the stage, throws in twists to the story and sets the stage for a great experience. However take this just as a suggestions since i really have no expertise in this area.

Many of you probably noticed GLG site was down (first time ever in 4+ years). I apologize it was a combination of factors. Our MySQL server kept crashing because of a error in Xenforo. At the time I was on vacation and combined with the fact that I didn't get a MySQL down alert i didn't see the...

My fault it went down. I was on vacation and the the server had a recursive sql error which would make mysql crash. I normally would get a notification on failure however I didn't. Wont happen again.

GLG has retired our dedicated server. This is true. However there are plenty games out there we can still get behind and play. What new game that is out or coming out do you want to see us all play?
