New xenforo release support cloudflare captcha, will get that deployed and then will re-enable registration.

Well tuff upgrade. Was able to get forum software upgraded, SQL, PHP, etc. Ran into an issue with the kernel upgrade from 14.04 LTS to 16.04. Will let us come online for a bit before tackling it again. Xenforo is releasing this month a new type of captcha that uses Cloudflare Turnstile

Had to die, i had no way of cleaning 200k in spam posts otherwise. Luckly the other threads weren't quite destoryed.

Expect work on the site to happen this weekend into next. Once it is done I will repost here.

I understand. Ok for now i have killed new account signups. I am going to upgrade the forum software this week to the latest release. It has some nice bot fixes. I will then stick around to monitor the situation. I have already deleted about 200k+ of spam posts and around 1900 spam accounts...

Spam out of control. God knows why we can't get it fixed. I only added a million different captcha and questions.. Do you guys still actively use forum? if so I was thinking of moving us to a modern forum tech like https://flarum.org/ or https://www.discourse.org/. Thoughts feedback?

ya its a fail.. I tried every bot prevention captcha on the plant. I will just make a really hard sign up question hopefully someone can figure it out.

Made some tweaks again to try to rid us of spam...
