I hope everyone's ready for tons of posts from me because school has given me hardly any homwork.

Also, I'm open to any collab you want to do with me with all the free time I have.
Great, looking forward to seeing Captain Shah get the soldiers into gear by giving lots of classes and training sessions.

This is just such a funny gameplay, I mean really, what is it with Chris and losing his Heavy all the time, the only one still alife is Zhang, but everybody who tries to follow in his footsteps dies...

The Zhang curse :O

Judging from some sources, in particular this video, it seems the expansion will actually make the game harder in some ways.

In short,
each new big feature for the soldiers comes with a catch : rushing to collect the new resource, the Meld, put the soldiers at risk (or encourage the player to sacrifice non-valuable rookies...), and the mech-soldiers have a weakness, they can't take cover and are very expensive (death of the soldier also means destruction of the expensive mech).

There is also the new enemies, in particular the Seeker who comes with its own AI, that will use cloaking and targets your weakest or more isolated soldiers.

And at last, a few balancing changes will impact the difficulty of the whole game: some of the encountered aliens will immediately activate overwatch (or even try to take a shot with a Second Wave option), some skills have been nerfed (Squadsight will be unable to produce critical shots for example), soldiers promotions will be slower in all difficulties and same for research in classic and impossible modes.

From all the info we have so far, it seems the point of the expansion is not to make the game easier but to give the player more options, through both adding some new stuff (powerful but tricky) and re-balancing some old stuff (either because it was too powerful, like soldier progression, or because some choices were too one-sided, like going with only the Squadsight skill for snipers).

Since I have developed my RPing skills this season, in season 5 I will be RP a woman to make things interesting and challenging for myself.

It will, if you look the the achivments you have to defend base with a squad that is in base, or so I believe, this game just got awesome by 500% and it would be great for roleplaying too, if the base gets attacked more than once while a team is out fighting or returing/heading to/from a fight, it will give the chance for others to also experience something and not just sit around all day. Again just what I think and hope is true, also there might be one of the other organizations from x-com apocolypse that organization is for the aliens I think and that will give us a reason to attack against Humans too...This game will be perfect if this is what happends.

The expansion keeps giving us more, so excited.

I wonder if Exalt's men are just mirrors version of XCOM soldiers (you can clearly see them equipped with their equivalents of heavy and sniper weapons) or if they do have their own abilities or quirks?
Also, I'm very intrigued by the man who threaten an Exalt's soldier with a pistol, around the 0:30 mark. He is wearing green, but he doesn't have the XCOM emblem and doesn't use the standard XCOM pistol (it's the same as Zhang in his introducing cutscene). Is he with XCOM? Or is he someone else who will work with Exalt?

I have to agree with you, from a role playing perspective it will be interesting to see how every one on base handles, not only dealing with the choice of ether becoming a mech or become augmented or stay the way they are.But now they have to deal with this new organization that we have no idea what there purpose is so next season and every season after that will be awesome.

It's a shame that we won't be able to roleplay at the same standard but I guess it will give us a chance to get acquainted with the expansion so we know what happens to a certain extent. The mechs and gene mods will certainly spice life up around base. Another question I have is that will soldiers be able to become mechs and psionic because that would be freaken amazing.

I find the whole replacing soldier's limbs with robotic version to be somewhat silly. There is absolutely zero reason to replace a normally functioning limb with a mechanical one; the same technology that is required to get those to work like that could work for either an exo or an entirely new limb, even in the real world. Hell, we have the technology right now and they use exos because replacing a limb is pointless and unnecessary. I'd hoped the mech soldiers were just soldiers in exo-suits, but the screenshots say otherwise.
