My final remark is that in this game you get to know all of them. They are all your students. You've seen them grow, love, lose, and change. But you still love them all. That's why in Byleth's shoes, I think the best past is the one that hurts the least people, and that's not the Empire.

Okay. I think we have reached a point where no one is going to budge here. But I did enjoy the conversation. I think we can both agree that the fact we can have such different views of the character shows how well they wrote her.
