I was the one of the first sky ranger pilot characters ever(nobody did it preS3), so "missions" didn't really lead to socializing. That and some people were pumping about a billionty journals a week which made it daunting to have to keep up with so I got pretty dissuaded from doing it. Hence...

It's cool, I can understand trying to get a journal in on time and not feeling like you could wait on feedback. One time last season I was 2 weeks late. :P

I'm going to suggest you use Raidcall for a 3rd party option for communication instead of mumble. That way, nobody has to host the server.

If you're in support staff(engineers, pilots, scientist) or in the games barrack's display. For example, he picked out 28 soldiers from the applications, but only 12 are currently in the game's barracks.

Probably to keep the amount of "voices" to start off at a minimum. A good story doesn't plop all the characters down in the first chapter after all. ;)
