So, RP news, tomorrow I have a couple of fun collabs to post. Frost, B0 and I worked on a collab for the mission, and plan to continue it on Friday. Look forward to that, and the travel to Elluvianna next.

In other news, I recently completed Tales of Zestiria. Great game, fine game play, fantastic story that, despite having an anime style, avoids most anime cliches. (Main character's sheltered nature and pure hearted nature reminded me of Goku, if Goku was sheltered but not an idiot of a reckless jackass.)

But I digress. It is time to move on to the next game. I have a couple options, but the JRPGs are out because the last thing I'm going to do is play one after spending 60 hours on another. Have the new Metroid game, but that's a mobile game. So... sigh... time for Dark Souls 3.

Have to admit, I'm a bit intimidated. The only Souls game I have played is the first (Dark Souls, not Demon Souls), and I kinda pussed out early on because it was too hard. That being said, I have since completed Bloodborne twice and got pretty good at it, and while I know the games have their significant differences, with Bloodborne being more about aggression and pushing the attack, and Dark Souls being more about defense and patiently waiting to strike, I am none the less a tiny bit more confident.

That being said, I know some of you have played the game, and I would like any advice you could give me to make my first time through smoother. Not easier, if that is even a thing, just without me blundering too much. Like, 'don't pick this class, it is shit', or 'don't worry about this stat, it is pointless', or 'don't worry about these weapons, they're garbage'.

Classes, Dodgier classes are the hardest to start with. The easier classes to start with are Knight for Tankiness or Barbarian for Raw Dps. Thief and Depraved are very hard. If you want to go with a caster, then pick that specific caster class. (Don't bother with Offensive Miracles... They are.... Not good... Miracles are a utility spell class basically. If you want A Actual damage mage, go Pyromancer or Sorceror, I recommended Pyromancer.)

There aren't too many weapons to avoid... Generally avoid Daggers and Whips. Most Daggers and whips are not good. I would also avoid Scythes and Halberds, which are all about spacing, Scythes more so, which means they are very hard for beginners, If you want to use them, start with Halberds then transition to Scythes if you feel comfortable.

Let's see... Well let's start by saying that Upgrades like Bleed/Poison/Dark/ Divine... Pretty much anything that's not Sharp/Balanced/or Heavy infusions are not generally worth it. The only time infusions like Fire, Dark, Lightning etc are useful is the early game. After that they fall off hard...

Next... Soft Caps and Hard Caps.

Each stat has a soft Cap and a Hard Cap, these points determine when you start getting dimishing values by putting points into a particular stat. After the soft cap, you start to get a little less for your points, after the Hard cap it goes down severely, to the point where it's almost not worth bothering.

Vigor: 26 vigor is usually a good stop, but if you want to be beefier, going up to 35 is good. In this case soft cap is 26, hard cap is 35.

Another Important one is Endurance. The soft cap for Stamina is 26, the hard cap is forty... It's so bad. The difference between someone with 40 Endurance and 99 is... 10 Stamina. 10 points. Never go past forty.

Attunement for Mages gives you a Spell slot every 10 points, if you are a heavy spell caster, stop at 40, that is the hard cap. If you need any more spells, use rings, it's not worth putting more than 40 into Attunement.

For Most Dps Stats. Dexterity, Strength, Faith, Intelligence, the soft cap is going to be 30, the hard cap being 40. You should usually only have 40 in a dps stat is if that is what you are focusing on, an all rounder build should stop at 30.

Vigor, or your equip load... Doesn't have a cap, just put points into it when you need to put points into it. Tankier characters should be trying for thd medium roll (Under 70% equip load) Lighter builds should try to stick under 30 % equip load, or the light roll.

Luck is very specific, generally you ignore it, all it does is increase item drops, if that's your goal don't go higher than 15. The only reason you should go higher than 15 luck is when A: You have a Bleed weapon, as luck increases bleed buildup or B: When you want to base your build around a few very specific weapons that turn luck into an attack stat. If A, stop at 30, if B, stop at 40.

Okay, that's about it... Oh! To open up secret walls, smack them with your sword. There are a lot. Also, some quests cancel out other quests, and a lot of quests are time based. CHECK IN WITH YOUR BROS AT FIRELINK AFTER EVERY BOSS KILL. ALSO, DO NO PROGRESS TO FAR IF YOU KNOW YOU HAVE SOMETHING YOU NEED TO DO. Even so, you will fail quests your first time through, but that's what you have the second playthrough for.

Whew.... That's pretty much it... Wow...

Wow, thanks. I appreciate this. Bloodborne had soft caps and hard caps too. A magic user would be nice, but I'll probably start off with a knight.

As a big fan of Berserk, I would be remiss not to bring this up. I heard somewhere that the Dragon Slayer is in this game. Is that so? If it is, where is it, and what do I need to do to be Gattsu?:):):):):D:D:D:D......

When you get to the swamp, look on top of the large stone pillars half sunken in the poison goo. It's on top of one. Near the middle of the area.

And Make sure you have a assload of Strength. :p

So... I am super Hyped for this game, Code Vein. It's made by the same publishers of Dark Souls, Bandai Namco, and is basically... Anime Dark Souls with Vampires.

I will almost certainly make Kva in this game when I get it. She's just too perfect. :p

Sounds like Bandai Namco is on a roll between this and Dragon Ball FighterZ.

Oh, is this what Miyazaki has been working on? It's definitely his style with the combat.
