Anyone know anything about videogame capture devices? I am getting one to record footage from my PS4 to my PC to improve the quality of my voice over and to bypass those games that don't let the PS4 record cutscenes.

But what programs can I use to actually record on my PC? Preferably a free one if there are any. The capture device already cost more then I want to admit.

for recording, I know of two options. One is to use Nvidia Geforce to record your content... but that would require you have a Nvidia graphics card in your computer (not everyone prefers Nvidia over Redeon so it's not always an options). Other then that, OBS is able to record videos, but I would not use OBS studios. Instead I would use Streamlabs OBS (or SLOBS as it's called) as the Streamlabs one is a better, user friendly version that automatically has many features that normal version need browser widget to do otherwise. And, since Streamlabs is a stream based company, it'll also make it easier to transition to streaming when you have a reached a viewer basis that makes you comfortable with live broadcasts.

Thanks a lot. I'll download Streamlabs OBS and give it a try. :)

yeppers, and while you're at it go ahead and make a streamlabs account. (You can do so by either linking your youtube or twitch account via the webpage. It'll not only allow you to use there features in the future, but I believe that by linking your youtube, it'll keep track of subs and viewership so you can see your channel grow on a day by day basis.

Hum I might have to do that myself, thanks for the advice Shadow. If only I could get off my ass, because I don't relay know how to do the personality thing.
