An exceptional student in her youth, Amelia had a bulky file of recommendations and honors starting from kindergarten into her adolescence. However, when she was 14, she mysteriously vanished without a trace, causing sadness and panic in her community. She then re-emerged at 19, completely silent on what happened. She was put through the wringer by the local police, who found literally nothing wrong with her. No signs of abuse, kidnapping, drug use, not even psychological trauma. After her recovery, many around her demanded to figure out what exactly happened, but as she had no evidence apparent on her and remained tight-lipped, they couldn't force it out of her.
Service Record: Amelia joined the military quickly after her recovery to escape local scrutiny and her parents, who disowned her shortly after she was shipped out for her reticence. Moving on from her nebulous youth, Amelia proved to be a surprisingly adept soldier with no major disciplinary concerns throughout boot camp. Her proficiency with small arms and rifles rose quickly and she was top of her class in 2011, rising quickly from there to the rank of Corporal.
Exemplary Acts: After her promotion to Staff Sergeant in 2014, a convoy guarded by her squad of six was ambushed by radicals near a hot border region in the Koreas. There are several reports about the attack, and squadmates listed feats including lifting a truck frame off three civilians, four confirmed kills, and rallying her squad to defeating the entire ambush force of 13. Out of 24 civilians and 7 soldiers, only one died (in a hospital five days later). She received a Bronze Star for her actions in combat and a Purple Heart for a gunshot wound beneath her left shoulder blade.

Sven was found wounded in the midst of Operation Shattered Wings, being treated by his American teammate. Although the American counterpart was killed in action, Sven made it out, and with Van Doorn safe, has decided to pledge loyalty to the X-COM project. Like most snipers before him, Sven’s work has colored his personality. Calculating, nihilistic, unemotional. Years sitting in the dirt behind a scope – taking lives like picking tomatoes out of a market stand – has dulled most of his other emotions. Despite this, Sven knows who his teammates are, and knows that he could be their final protector.

Running away from an abusive home at 13, Kieran lived a life similar to Emily in his adolescence, until he took up a less-than-legal residence in Bremen, Germany. When he turned 20, he applied for a visa in Germany, where he remained as a working civilian until he acquired citizenship. He joined the Army at 24 to put his ship-learned skills to the test. Kieran is confident, intelligent, and charming, able to talk his way out of most situations and avoid the ones he can't. While his quick thinking and technical prowess make him a good support, he can be self-serving when the chips are down.
William “Billy” Campbell

Birthplace: Ardmore, Oklahoma, USA
Specialization: Suppression Heavy
Jovial, practiced, and hot-headed; Billy lives to feel the burn of the metal, the shower of the casings, and the beam of lead. He’s similar to his squadmate, Nika, in that he “cares too much” about his squad. As the one who sends in the explosives when they’re in trouble, pins down the attackers while they advance, and the last one to the extraction zone, Billy is the papa bear that protects all of the cubs to the death.

Although Dallas' close-range capabilities have their situational use, a couple months of leadership training and his romantic attachment to his support have left him less inclined to charge in. Dallas now keeps a moderate distance from the front line, surveying the field and positioning his troops to minimize losses. He still remains relatively introverted, but has become markedly more social since meeting Emily.

Nika remains a bubbly and mischievous force in the squad, but the war has granted her some losses. Nika spends most of her time at the bar, drinking herself into happiness whenever possible. Despite this concern, Nika still performs well in action, and has fallen into the position of Heavy extremely well.

Sven is the hardest worker on the squad, logging hundreds of hours in the gym and training rooms. Although he still keeps a distance, it's become obvious that Sven has attached to his squad, and their synergy with sight-lines and long-shots has unlocked his true potential as a marksman. His chivalrous demeanor has won over Emily and Nika, exposing a soft and honorable heart in a hardened and scarred man.

Killed in Action
Billy was killed in action during Operation Shattered Wings when he was shot by encroaching Thin Men three times. He bravely covered the escape of the rest of his team, and killed all hostiles in his last act of defiance before he was killed. Billy got well over a dozen kills during his service with this act included, and has been awarded a promotion to Lance Corporal posthumously.

Physical Description: Atka typically wears a brown army jacket over a white shirt with a Canadian flag with two gray wolves flanking a polar bear below it, and brown khaki pants. She has a graceful, smooth figure, though she is by no means weak thanks to her military training and life in the far north.
Biography:
Atka was born in a small village on an island north of Taloyoak. The people there lived mostly by the old ways as hunter-gatherers, and times were often hard, but usually rewarding. They practiced a mix of the Christianity introduced to them from the Europeans, and many of their spiritual traditions. For a time Atka simply learned things typical to young girls such as sewing. However, the young girl was fascinated by the way of hunting, and was able to convince her father and mother to allow her to join in on the hunt at the age in which young boys went on their first hunt.
When Atka was sixteen, an army recruiter visited the village to tell the locals about opportunities to join the Canadian military. Some of the young hunters were excited by the prospect, but for the most part no one seriously considered the offer because of how interdependent the people of the village were. However, Atka made a case to her understanding father. Her sister was content to follow the old ways at the village, but Atka sought to help protect Inuit culture and the nation as a whole and saw this as an opportunity. Although her mother disagreed, Atka’s father was happy to let her pursue this path.
At the age of eighteen, with her application ready, Atka signed up for the military, taking her father’s name, Ipiktok as her last name, as the Inuit did not usually have last names. She proved to be an enthusiastic and diligent recruit, adapting easier to the harsh mannerism of the drill sergeant. The inuit woman was chosen to serve in the infantry, specially acting as a reconnaissance scout if needed, and a regular soldier if not. Once she graduated from the military academy, Atka participated in seven official operations and often acted as a military liaison to the Inuit peoples in times of crisis.
Atka served in three combat operations, the first two relating to ISIS and the last one to tension between the Koreas. In all three, she demonstrated leadership skills though none of them were by any means perfect. Her hair has the texture of her mother’s hair, though its color is different. Although Subject Negative Zero has a tendency to have a flat, aloof expression, she bears a curiosity also reminiscent of her creator.

Lusett stands in front of a tube filled with orange-tinted liquid, where a teenage girl, bearing a striking resemblance to both Eva and the scientist is contained. Her lizard-like yellow eyes betray an emotion unusual to Lusett: fear.
“I am…concerned, to say the least. I apologize if I don’t seem like myself. The basis I used for Subject 42…Viktor…I don’t trust him. He’s been acting unusual lately, but I can’t…I can’t think of any way to get him out. He’s watching Eve…and I have already proven that I’m no fighter,” Lusett Exalt says, taking a deep breath. “This isn’t one of my usual logs, if it isn’t already obvious. That’s because it is special, and it’s for your eyes only, my dear daughter.”
Lusett smiles with exhaustion apparent in her fair features. “I decided to create a second daughter…this time more heavily influenced by my own genetic code and ideas. If…something is to happen to me, I want someone to continue my research. Obviously, if I die, it was Viktor without a doubt. I suspect he’d take poor Eve with me.”
The EXALT leader walks over to the tube, the camera zooming in to compensate. “This is Subject Negative Zero. Mathematic contradiction, I know. She’s…my successor, should I perish. Elene Exalt.” Lusett runs her hand across the glass, unable to stroke the young girl’s face affectionately like she wants to. “She is you,” the scientist states finally, turning to face the camera.
“This log is for your benefit, and I’ve instructed Avanix to let you view the rest of my logs and understand my notes during your incubation. All the information you need to know will be transmitted to your brain by her, though I cannot say the same for emotional development. You will have the capacity, but I…” Lusett seems to be upset, her eyes almost on the verge of tearing up. “I hope we can be there to help you through that, Eve and I. But…if that’s not the case…then so be it. At least you will continue the legacy of our family.”
Lusett takes a shuddering breath to calm herself, and walks back to her original position. “This is my final piece of advice to you, my daughter. I want you to take it to heart. Pursue this technology we have begun to delve into…pursue our shared dreams. And survive,” she adds, her expression serious. “Work with Viktor if you have to, tolerate him even if he killed me. Do not let your hatred show. Your well-being is more important than taking revenge. If you can end him safely, go ahead, but otherwise…focus on what matters.”
Lusett smiles again, hiding her fear and worry. “I love you, Elene, my dear daughter. Good luck.” Tears start to well up in Lusett’s eyes again, and she shuts off the camera before she loses her composure any further.

Bio: Morrigan was born on a cold winter's morning in Tipperary in 1980, the third of four children. She had a typical childhood with caring parents and loving siblings, but was somewhat troubled at an early age. She would often struggle in school, but not for lack of intelligence, for Morrigan was quite a bright child. However, she often struggled to get along with her classmates. Morrigan shares her name with the Irish goddess of battle, strife, and sovereignty, and she made the name proud. Afraid Morrigan would ruin her chances at a bright future, her parents relocated her to live with her Uncle Clooney in America, who then had her sent to Carver Military Academy for her high school education. Morrigan resisted at first, but unlike the stereotypical story of the child who has to shape up to avoid military school, Morrigan was soon enthralled, falling in love with the structure and discipline of the academy, as well as having a healthy outlet with which to focus her aggression with training. It was of little surprise that Morrigan immediately enlisted upon graduation.
Morrigan excelled in her Military career. Her childhood temper still present to a degree, Morrigan would often clash with her fellow soldiers, and was charged with insubordination on more then one occasion, but her skills with hand-to-hand combat and weaponry, as well as her performance on the battlefield, often caught the eye of the superiors she hadn't butted heads with, and she quickly moved up through the ranks.
Morrigan had a relationship with fellow academy student named Daniel throughout her twenties. They finally married in 2010, but it was a rocky marriage to say the least. Upon finding she was pregnant, Morrigan was honorably discharged for the military so she could move back to Ireland, a decision Daniel apposed, but she was eventually able to strong arm him into agreeing to it. Despite the fact that Daniel had already been dishonorably discharged years before and had no family that had been left behind, he still showed resistance to his life in Ireland, and this drove the final nail in the coffin. The two were divorced in 2016, and despite her personal wishes, Morrigan decided her daughter Brigid would be happier with her father living in America. Morrigan returned to her Military career with the Irish Defense Force, and in only two years, had reached the rank of Leifteanant-Ghinearál thanks to excellent service and recommendations from the US military.

Lt Gen O'Brien may have been ninth on our list, but it was to be expected that we would have some difficulty finding a volunteer for such an important position after the departure of the previous Commander, and O'Brien was in the top ten for a reason. While the Lt Gen was had issues in the past, has been reported as being too casual in some situations, and has been known to sneak a drink or two onto base, she is highly competent, intelligent and resourceful, and she has a reputation for being popular with her subordinates. She was knocked down the list primarily for her aggressive tendencies, but if this aggression was necessary for us to find someone who would actually take the job, perhaps it is what we need to win the war against such an unpredictable, unprecedented threat. However, the Counsel is advised to keep a close eye on our new Commander.

The Commander is a shorter woman with small features, not quite petite but close. She has fiery red her and bright green eyes that catch a person's attention. She is young in appearance, as she has put a lot of effort into keeping herself in shape, this giving her the appearance of a woman ten years younger (but if she asks, tell she looks twenty years younger, assuming you're reckless enough to ask her how old she is in the first place). While she learned to speak with an American accent for formal occasions and speeches (she was often teased in America when she didn't use it), the Commander normally speaks with a thick Irish accent, often in a casual manner, and doesn't shy away from profanities. She is very proud of her heritage, often bragging about being a descendent from High King Brian Boru, especially with a shot or two of her "Water of Life." nearby.
The Commander's favorite color is red, and her favorite dishes are a sausage and potato hot pot, honey-glazed corned beef, and a Chicago-Style deep-dish pizza. Her favorite beverage is Irish coffee, made with half a cup of high quality coffee, one measure of Irish whiskey, two spoonfuls of brown sugar, and 20 ml of fresh pouring cream. She listens mainly to Irish folk music, but occasional dabbles into American Country music by female artists and the King of Pop.
A four year old cat named Shalquoir can usually be found in either the Commander's officer or adjoining quarters, but the Commander claims the cat isn't her, they're just roommates.

Disowned by her parents as soon as the law would allow them, Veronica had an extremely hard life caring for her child alone. The pair spent a large portion of Jessica's childhood well below the poverty line. However, when Jessica was eight, her mother met Joseph Lockheart, an up-and-coming law student who was interning at the law firm Veronica went to in order to try and find Jessica's father for child support. Joseph was able to convince the firm to take the case for free, and although they failed to win the case, Joseph and Veronica found a connection, and the two were married in less then a year, a marriage that has remained strong.
However, all was not well with Jessica. She showed signs of psychological problems early in her life, problems her mother couldn't afford to have looked at, let alone treated. She had bouts of sudden mood changes and memory loss, and periods in which she seemed to act like a different person. With her step-father's financial support, Jessica was diagnosed with Disassociated Identity Disorder. However, by this point, her second identity had grown so strong, Jessica refused to undergo treatment, as doing so would be the same as killing someone in her eyes, and Veronica and Joseph supported her. Her second personality took on the name Alexia, the name Veronica was going to give Jessica's twin sister who died in the womb due to complications caused by being pregnant at such a young age.
With Alexia's help, Jessica excelled in all she did. Once the two identities excepted each other, they found that they could easily compensate for the other's short comings. Jessica proved to be a genius, quickly moving up through her grades, while Alexia, more interested in excelling physically, was happy to take over whenever it came to exercising or sports. However, skipping grades and having a split personality came with a price. Jessica was bullied relentlessly, and had very few friends growing up. Eventually, she instructed her school to stop removing the obscenities on her locker, as it was a waste of time when it was put back up within a week of being cleaned. Pushed to her breaking point, Jessica tried to end her life with a box cutter when she was 13, only stopped when her brother walked in on her and yelled to his parents that she was bleeding. Jessica was wracked with guilt from that point on, realizing that her weakness almost killed Alexia, and while Alexia long ago forgave her, and partially blames herself for not being there for Jessica, Jessica still thinks about it.
The pair grew from the experience, and pushed their studying even harder. Jessica's heightened intelligence and excellent education has made her much such sought after since she graduated, and she immediately caught Project X-COM's eye.
Note for X-COM Recruiters: Ms. Lockheart shows great promise for a Scientific career. Although she seems scatterbrained to many who have dealings with her, with an unusually upbeat attitude and an almost goofy way of conversing with people, she has proven herself a genius, having obtained a bachelors degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a triple major in Medical Science, Genetics, and Micro-Biology. Preliminarily assessments into her intellect show an uncanny ability for logical reasoning, an eidetic memory, and a dedication to her work and respect for authority seldom seen in one so young. Although her condition can make her a tad difficult to handle at times, we highly recommend Ms. Lockheart immediately be recruited into Project X-COM, before she can be recruited by others who may not have our best interests in mind.

Using the rapid increase of computer technology and the shift of the media digital dependence, P.S. begins to mold the United States of America towards its image through subvert acts of computer hacking, media manipulation, file alteration, espionage, extortion, and, when necessary, assassination.
April, 1999: As evidence of P.S.'s existence begins to come to surface, a committee is formed to investigation. As P.S.'s saturation over so many parts of American is come to be known, "Munificence" (henceforth M) is formed to directly confront and stop P.S. Afraid of spies and leaks, it is formed as a secret group directing operating out of the Pentagon with no outside knowledge, even from the President.
2002: As M's actions to subvert P.S.'s plans prove to be more and more successful, P.S. becomes more aggressive in recruiting outside assistance, obtaining scientists, engineers, spies, and secret agents against their will through acts of kidnapping and blackmail.
June, 2006: Russian spy O.G. (Real name classified) goes into labor while in America. Subject is born in a hospital controlled by P.S., and is immediately taken hostage. O.G. involuntarily becomes a member of P.S. as an infiltration and sabotage agent.
2007: P.S. begs experimentation on subject. Through medical procedures, genetic manipulation, and the use of nano-technology to alter her brain chemistry, P.S. starts they're efforts to turn a person into a living computer.
July, 2008: O.G. is assigned to assassinate M spy, codename Agent Zero, who is closing in on an important lead towards discovering P.S.'s main HQ. O.G. fails her mission and is mortally wounded. Before her death, she informs Zero of her daughter, as well as the location of her apartment.
August, 2008: O.G.'s apartment is discovered, but not before P.S. burns it down. Thanks to information O.G. gave Zero, however, M is able to find a safe-box O.G. had hidden containing all of the information she had secretly gathered about P.S. Now closer then ever, M resumed their efforts with renewed vigor, and Zero took up the task of finding O.G.'s child.
July, 2013: After five years of searching, Zero finds and rescues the subject, now age seven, from a P.S. research facility. She is put into protective custody, her existence a classified secret. Years of solitude have left her timid, easily frightened, and with little to no social skills. Her lack of practice speaking with others left her with a terrible stuttering problem, and she trusted no one except Zero.
September, 2013: Medical and aptitude tests begin to bring to life the depth of the subject's abilities obtained by the experiments she underwent. She is the very definition of a progeny. Her computer skills are unmatched by anyone, and she has advanced knowledge in programming and robotics. With the assistance of Zero, subject is persuaded to assist M with their efforts.
Dec. 2013: Subjects computing and programming skills advance the Pentagon systems by decades. She creates an anti-virus and firewall system that blocks all hacking attempts and outs nearly a dozen spies, including three FBI agents. She then improves on former failed projects, and infects the P.S. system with the Liberator virus, a computer virus that responds to hacking attempts on it's host system by completely exposing the hacking system. Information obtained by this leads to the complete decimation of Philosopher's Stone, and the war against them ends as quietly as it began.
2015: After two years of psychological and behavioral therapy to acclimate her to her new life, subject enters society for the first time. She is unofficially adopted by Zero. Unable to take his surname for security reasons, she takes the name of a Philosopher's Stone scientist that sacrificed his life to assist Zero in subject's rescue. Subject attempts a formal education, but is too intellectually advanced to fit into a normal school. Instead, she obtains several degrees independently online. She then gets several different government jobs over the next three years in the fields on computer technology, engineering, aeronautics, and robotics.
Notes:
While the unusual prospect of letting someone so young work in an important government facility like X-COM would normally be out of the question, as the subject has discovered numerous times of the last several years, we feel that the unusual nature of this project warrants unusual decisions, and considering her background and education, it is likely we can not afford not to bring her aboard.
Additional notes:
The Commander's continued objections have been noted and considered, but it is still the opinion of this counsel to recruit the subject. Her computer skills are unmatched by anyone, and she has advanced knowledge in programming and robotics. With the assistance of Zero, subject is persuaded to assist M with their efforts.
Dec. 2013: Subjects computing and programming skills advance the Pentagon systems by decades. She creates an anti-virus and firewall system that blocks all hacking attempts and outs nearly a dozen spies, including three FBI agents. She then improves on former failed projects, and infects the P.S. system with the Liberator virus, a computer virus that responds to hacking attempts on it's host system by completely exposing the hacking system. Information obtained by this leads to the complete decimation of Philosopher's Stone, and the war against them ends as quietly as it began.
2015: After two years of psychological and behavioral therapy to acclimate her to her new life, subject enters society for the first time. She is unofficially adopted by Zero. Unable to take his surname for security reasons, she takes the name of a Philosopher's Stone scientist that sacrificed his life to assist Zero in subject's rescue. Subject attempts a formal education, but is too intellectually advanced to fit into a normal school. Instead, she obtains several degrees independently online. She then gets several different government jobs over the next three years in the fields on computer technology, engineering, aeronautics, and robotics.

While the unusual prospect of letting someone so young work in an important government facility like X-COM would normally be out of the question, as the subject has discovered numerous times of the last several years, we feel that the unusual nature of this project warrants unusual decisions, and considering her background and education, it is likely we can not afford not to bring her aboard.

However, Kazuya's health took a turn for the worse, and he passed away. It is evident that Ayame never forgave herself, but more still, she never forgave her mother, her never once visited her son in the hospital. It is unknown why, but whatever the reason, Ayame lost all traces of respect and love for her mother. She systematically made efforts to defy her mother's wishes, even refusing to speak her mother's native language, instead spending the next several years adopting a American accent filled with localized slang. Then, at the age of eighteen, she joined the military, that worst act of defiance she could think of.
However, her military career was a short. She showed great prowess in fire-arms and fighting skills, but had a problem following orders. She was quickly discharged for assaulting a CO that she accused of touching her in an unprofessional manner. Afterwards, she fell into a brief life of crime, soon catching the eye of Yakuza operating in California. After rising through their ranks quickly, she was put in charge of a brothel used to force young Japanese female immigrants to 'pay off' the cost of being brought to America.
Ayame excelled at her position, but quickly realized she had become a worse version of her mother. She only stayed out of fear of what would happen to her if she tried to leave. After wronging one of the newer girls, however, she realized she had gone too far, and fled with said woman. Said woman had been mentally traumatized, however, and in a fit of rage, pierced Ayame's chest with a combat knife. She would have died, but because of a medical condition known as situs inversus, her heart is located on the opposite side of her body then normal. However, the Yakuza was unaware of this, and they believed her dead. While she lost contact with the young woman she had tried to save, Ayame was free from the Yakuza's grasp.
Ayame tried a number of odd-jobs over the next several years, eventually trying her hand as a mercenary, which eventually led her to an attack on an American convoy on behalf of Lusett Exalt. Her forces were wiped out, either by the American forces, or by a concoction given to them by Lusett's daughter that forced them to kill themselves, Ayame being spared by her defiance, as she purposely vomited up the concoction before it took effect. She was found by X-COM, and after a lengthy interrogation that determined she knew practically nothing about the people that had hired her, she was given a chance to be part of something bigger, and work for X-COM.
Physical Appearance: Ayame is much taller then one would expect one of her ethnicity to be. She has a strong build, fairly muscular, but not in an masculine way.
