Atka -Inuit woman, formally of the Canadian military. Dedicated to helping others and doing what is right and fair, sometimes to her own detriment. Devoted to stopping the aliens, but advocates a peaceful resolution with some of the subjugated species if at all possible. Devoted to assisting Morrigan in anyway possible. Friends with Modya. Psionic training partner with Desmond. Source of motivation for Sunny and Ammelia.Friends with Albert, but their conflicting views over the aliens cause =s friction between the two.
Modya - Soldier for the Russian military. Cowardly in many respects, but is learning to fight his fears for the sake of not letting the ones he loves down, and is becoming a true soldier. Works with Atka a lot. Has had a drink with Albert. Spends time with the bases other rocketeers and heavies.
Emily -Rambunctious soldier with a talent for getting in and out of trouble. Good at persuading others. Has a troubled past, but doesn't let it hold her back. Devoted now more then ever to rip the aliens a new one after the lose of a close squadmate. Spends a lot of time with her roommates/squadmates. Good friends with Ammelia. Treats Sunny like a younger sister. Has had dealings with Atka.
Desmond -EXALT spy. Clone of the current EXALT leader's deceased brother. Hard, often tortuous life has left him cold and jaded, but the love of a select group of people have warmed his heart, and weakened his resolve as a spy. Torn between his duties for EXALT by the change in power towards Viktor, a man he hates. Wishes to protect Elene, whom he feels a kinship with as a fellow clone. Works with Atka to develop her psionic abilities. Likes Sunny and her devotion despite a tortured past. In a relationship with Ellie, and is saddened by the thought that he will hurt her should he be found out. Close friends with Ammelia, who has some feelings for him.
Ellie - Doctor in the X-COM infirmary. Something of an oddball, and somewhat immature for her age, but respectful and kind. Still grieving over the loss of her uncle, who had acted as her guardian for much of her life, and died at nearly the same time as Ellie joined X-COM. Friends with Alexia and Penny. In a close relationship with Desmond.
Albert - Talented soldier, and strong unit leader, who is largely held back by his own lack of self-esteem. While he wishes to save the world like everyone else, his decision to join X-COM was largely motivated by a need for revenge over the loss of his brother to a squad of Thin Men. Talented in the use of tachypsychia, the neurological condition in which an adrenaline high causes time to seem to slow down for him. Currently acting as a security guard until a way can be developed to prevent him from being mind controlled again. Highly respectful of those he has had dealings with, including Jessica, Atka, and Sunny. Has a grudge against Dante, a captive Thin Man, who was on the squad that killed his brother.
Eva -Enhanced super soldier originally recruited into EXALT by her good friend, Lusett Exalt. Her DNA, mixed with Lusett's, acted as a basis for Exalt's cloning technology, and she is the 'mother'/'sister' of Elene and her handmaidens. Initially a spy for Exalt, she has devoted herself more to X-COM's cause, less because she wishes to help them, more because she wishes to help take out her friend's former organization, now in the hands of Lusett's murderer. An abrasive attitude makes her few friends, but she has had dealings with individuals like Atka. Has an uneasy partnership with Desmond. Shares in Ammelia a mutual sadness in the loss of Lusett.
Ashley -Future leader of the Van Dams, an extensive family of mercenaries and hired guns. Has had to suppress her fighting skills in favor of more diplomatic means in preparation for her future position, but is quickly remembering how to fight and kill. Was able to convince Morrigan to let her wife on base to work as a doctor, as well as her daughter, largely because the Commander empathized with over her own daughter. Wants to show individuals like Atka what an asset she can be, and the extreme actions of her cousin, former X-COM soldier Scarlet, were an extreme example.
Ammelia - Adopted daughter and future successor to Cross Technologies. Born mute and blind, she was adopted as a child by David Cross and given a voice, as well as sight, if to a limited extent. She joined as an X-COM soldier not only to help fight for humanity, but to pay forward the kindness her adopted father paid her, and to show the world that even someone with her disabilities can make a big difference. Tends to let her desire to help others put herself in danger, and she puts a lot on her shoulders. Close friends with Emily. Friends with Atka, but the formers tendency for despair causes the former to causes some friction with the latter. Has feelings for both Jessica and Desmond, and is saddened that they are both called for at the time. Sunny has promised Ammelia she'll develop a way for her to see normally after the war.
Penny - Young scientist dedicated to making a name for herself and stepping out of the shadow of her father's dark past. Hasn't had many dealings with other staff members, mainly because she hasn't been on base for long, but is already friends with Ellie, and has received encouragement from Modya. Currently researching a mysterious mask that may have belonged to her father, but was found on an alien UFO with a hole in the top of it.
Overseer - Mysterious informant, one of the most powerful and well-informed information brokers in the world. Currently in service of the Council of Nations, and has promised Morrigan he will help to keep her informed in exchange for the continued protection of Penny.
Viktor -Current head of EXALT, the organization acting in direct opposition to X-COM in their efforts to fight the aliens, after the brutal murder of Lusett and her daughter. Enraged by the unsanctioned cloning of his brother and imprisonment when he started selling research, he has turned is anger towards Lusett onto the world at large, and X-COM stands in his way to use alien technology for his own purposes.
Elene - Clone/daughter of Lusett, acting as the woman's contingency plan should she die. She has devoted herself to continuing her mother's research, even though it means working for a man she hates, and this is the only reason Viktor allows her to live, let alone work for him. Currently has plans to advance beyond Victors findings, and is more motivated by a desire to learn and advance then petty hatred. Works with her own clones to the goal of one day eliminating Viktor and avenging her mother.
Markus - Young Australian scientist who got a bit more then he asked for when he was recruited to work for Viktor. Is currently torn between his desire to work in his field of interest, the moral implications of his work, his fondness for his cloned coworkers, and his desire not to lose his life to his short tempered, impatient boss.
There are also several secondary characters, like some of the doctors and scientists I've mentioned, the captive aliens, Ryan, Tom, Ben the more often used NPC soldiers, Elene's handmaidens, and the various abductees that were rescued for the alien base, but I've focused more on the main cast of characters. There is, of course, more details on them on bio section. This will be on the bio page as well as soon as I'm sure there is nothing more you guys want me to add.
