And to answer your earlier question, Frost, Invidia was afraid of a repeat of the Incubator (Mr. Kitty), which ended poorly after the death of a single guard. He was going for a more subtle approach until he overheard Atka and Jake while controlling Keiko, and had to act a lot sooner and extremely.
