it's the Scarlet curse much like the Zhang cure from season 3, only unlike Season 3 this cure does not target new heaves, like the prick it was.

Also, barring objection, Emily is now in the infirmary for at least a week. Two days will be in intensive care/surgery and the rest will be bed rest and therapy. So if you've met her, you should visit her in a couple days, ya bums.

Here are a few current updates and going ons in case someone missed or forgot something (and if I misses or forgot something, remind me)

We are currently on the second armor upgrade to armor, which has the first grapple armor, and laser weaponry. I'm currently debating whether the next level of weapons will come with the next mission or the one after that .

Alloy SHIVs are in the works, and Mechs might be available as soon as the next mission. I know Raiden, and now Desmond, needs a cybernetic arm. Those are available now. As a quick note on how they work, they are the same length as the individuals other arm, and are solid black. They are built with a limiter, so they won't be too much stronger then a normal arm, though this limiter will be disabled whenever they go out on a mission. Finally, the arms function like a normal arm with normal response time, as they are directly linked to the user's central nervous system. They can be removed any time, but remember that reconnecting them hurts like a bitch (reconnecting them feels like someone cracked open your head and punched you in the brain).

New skin based gene mods are in the works. I'm not sure if we'll have invisible soldiers, as like Long War, I feel it's a bit OP, but I'm still considering, and I'm open to comments for and against.

Holo-training rooms are open for business. They offer soldiers realistic training against holographic aliens, available at ten difficulty settings. No squidies right now, as they need to be programmed in, but all the other aliens we've seen so far are available. And no, there is no risk of the holograms coming to life, so you don't have to worry about Evil Lincoln.

Finally, after the last mission, we have captured two sectoids, a thin man, and a floater. Which means that the lab is looking at the alien's weapons in addition to the baddies themselves. We also lost three more soldiers, though. We'll have to update the list. Sure are burning through them fast. We sure could use a mission or two where we lose no one (hint hint, wink wink, nudge nudge).

I'm on my break since I just got home, but I'm looking at 2-3 hours of homework today and tomorrow. Maybe more, maybe less, but that's just about how much I HAVE to do in these two days before Wednesday. I will be availble for collaborations at 7-8, because there's things I want to do and I'm not going to let the amount of work I have ruin this for me.

The homework is priority, but once I've done all I think I can handle in one day I want to do something I'll actually enjoy. Just a heads-up.

Homework is priority. It really doesn't hinder anything if you miss a day so don't stress over the small stuff.

I have something I need to do with Atka, Nika needs to talk to someone, Emily will get visited later, and I might start doing a series of solo posts with Atka over time. And Desmond needs an ivory wolf. I can't just ignore those, this is stuff I probably need to do before the next mission.

Plus, I want to. :p If I go two days in a row without having any 'me' time I might go a bit bonkers.

There's a strategic reason I had Emily in surgery for 2 days, it's because I had 2 days of work to do for uni over writing here :p (term paper yesterday and a couple thousand words today)

*coughs* I may be doing something similar for when I go somewhere on Thanksgiving break, we'll see how that plays out.

Indeed. Not to imply I picked the way the entire mission went based off my schedule, just the inaccessible period part at the end here. I don't know how long surgery would actually take for alien wounds, or if it would even necessitate some kind of surgery. In general, the less I think about medicine, the happier I am as a human.
