Happy feelings? Family bonding? Getting over the past? What is that?
Was there an implication of psionics with her dad, or am I reading too much into things?

Also, I just realized who Fay talks like.

Well, that's something else to add to my List of Things to Get Involved With. Also, do see the similarities, but obviously, a total coincidence.

As for implications, I'd have to know which line you thought you saw the implications in, otherwise I'd have no idea what you were implying about my implications.

Hey, Adramm, sorry I missed your last post. Anyone who missed it, read it, it was really good. It answers the whole Emily/Nico thing so well, and does a fantastic job setting up for the confrontation. I'm gonna be on edge the whole time the brother of the gilipollas Emily killed is on base. Oh, I just want to hug her, and squeeze her, and tell her everything is alright...

I have a bit of a treat for you guys. I had a two hour delay due to snow I wrote this up. I know Zombie was a little hyped for this one.

Glad you liked it :D It seems you know what happened too. I tried to make it a little subtle, but I did want to make it clear that Emily didn't just randomly murder a lad.

It's certainly a tenuous situation, and one I never planned, which fills me with glee.

Going to be awkward when Emma realizes what's going on. She doesn't want conflict, but this might be somewhat of a problem.

Unfortunately for the other players involved in the merger, one is a contract killer and one is a lithe and resourceful soldier. It's likely no one will realize their situation until they've buried the hatchet or buried the other.

No, I thought it was perfectly subtle. It answered all of the questions it set out to answer without being blatant or spelling it out for you. And for such a short post, it answered so many answers for me. How she was responsible for the death of Nico's brother, why it happened, who was ultimately responsible, why Emily seems some what hesitant around others and always gives the feeling she has an escape plan, what once probably the greatest motivator for her to return home, and why she is so against drinking.

I just worry for her. I'd like to say it is easily resolved by her telling Nico what happened, but somehow, I don't think he'd care. Hell, he might even already suspect what happened. The post implied he knew what kind of brother he had. He probably just cares about he fact that his brother is dead, and Emily is responsible. So tense, so exciting.

Of course, I also liked the Post with Fay and her father. Maybe I'm reading into this wrong, but I got the impression of a man with an air of pleasantness and content, but below the surface was a manipulator. One who is fairly arrogant, and knows what to say to people and how to say it to try to get his way. And the guilt trip. Oh, God, have I had to deal with it in my past. I'm just happy Fay is obviously used to it, and knows how to deal with it.

Nico knows his brother (and himself, for that matter) was a "bad guy," but in the sense of a charmless and lazy drug peddler, not so much anything violent. Emily has her way of getting out of trouble and the benefit of the doubt, but this is also a deep and costly vendetta for him.

Can't wait to see how it plays out. Just hope she remembers she has friends she can rely on now.

Looking back on old posts and old threads really brings back memories. To when Gem first joined us, to the first ideas for SoD, the old fanfictions, just everything from back then seems to have happened in a whole different era. Now look at us...

Yeah, I still go back and read old Season 2 posts to remind myself how far I've come since joining the site.

I forgot how Organic the relationship with Anna and Ayame was in season two because not only were our characters meeting for the first time, but me and Zombie were meeting for the first time as well.
