I almost feel bad for Superbia. Out of all of the Ethereals to be stuck with last, Invidia's probably the worst.

Yeah, I mean, it isn't like Desperatio is somebody that is there in-system, watching, observing. Waiting.

So, the Ayame and Mary post was a little foreboding. Seems like Matar did a hefty amount of psychological damage... my Ethereal gets the last laugh after all! Muahaha!
But on a more OOC unfortunate note, I'm finding that I have a little trouble paying attention to Mary's side of things. It's not that she's being uninteresting, just that it becomes a bit of a chore to decipher speech that's cut into by apostrophe's on the majority of words. The accent may be a little too much. (Not trying to be mean, that's just a...hopefully constructive... criticism I have. And so I don't look like an ass, I'll actually offer a suggestion to validate what I'm saying.)
If you left more important words -related to important/serious things Mary was saying- alone, I'd be able to more easily get invested in what it is she's speaking. As it stands it's just difficult to figure it out and thus be engaged. That aside though, nice to see that Mary had a positive affect on Ayame's current condition.

If anyone noticed, deleted the dream sequence with Atka. Not sure I like it, was kind of just a random thing that probably wasn't meant to be. If you didn't see it, no worries. Nothing happened.

Here's a small tip, but I'm not sure it'll help... Don't sit there and try to puzzle out what every single word means.
Instead, try to say the cut off words in your head, it'll sound a lot clearer like that.
I've actually been trying what you've suggested here and there, but I guess it hasn't been working... I have another idea though...
Mary is a psion now, maybe she could use her telepathy instead of talking most of the time. Because, as we know, thoughts don't have accents.
Only major problem I see is practicality here. At least Ethereals have a bit of an excuse to do it most of the time and someone like Asher needs a psion around for obvious reasons. Plus it would be a bitch to edit and I don't think you want to do that. We could always do the old method of beating a brick over her head until she learns to talk normally but I think a normal dictionary or thesaurus might work wonders
