Funny how each of the characters seem to have some minor similarties, despite the fact that we all developed them independently. I commented on a bit of a personality parallel between Arlia and Sela, and I see a connection between the repair work Betty does and Solomon's blacksmithing. Welcome to the cast. (He didn't have Chryssalids so he went with a fly. Interesting, interesting. Way better than a spider. I'm actually certain I'm arachnophobic now.)

Well, I just finished reading her bio. I suppose I do see a parallel in origins; someone outside of society that goes out to defend it.

I was surprised when Frost proposed it, but then I thought, "This world will have giant spiders, killer bug men, and horrible human/insect hybrid monsters, among other things. Why not have an Fly Thrope? A character with an connections to insects that is a good guy... er, girl."
