5D's is actually pretty good though...

Darkest in what sense? Because the original Japanese version of the first series was pretty dark.

Then 4Kids happened... and everything became invisible guns this and lightly shoved that. Did you know for all the talk of the 'Shadow Realm' in the series, there was no such thing in the original version? It was just made to cover for all the death.

But hey, it could have been worse. It could have been the original Ocean dub of DBZ where anyone who died was actually just sent to another dimension, Tien claimed his arm would grow back, entire cities were evacuated in a few seconds to avoid casualties, and Nappa had a dislike for automated cargo robots with no people in them.

5D's has ancient Incan Old Gods stealing the souls of whole cities at a time, people getting pushed out of buildings, a city outside the normal city where the rich people stick all of the poor people, and even more possession, there's more, but it's been a while since I watched it.

That sounds cool. There was a movie that came out that had the protagonists of the first three shows against this time travelling douchebag. It was okay, even if it was basically just one duel. Still, they had some guts with it. Maximillian Pegasus was killed by an entire building collapsing in him. Hardcore.

You've never seen Yu-Gi-Oh! Abridged? It's a great series. It was one of the first attempts at an Abridged series, and it is because of it that shows like Dragon Ball Z Abridged exist. It is run, edited, and voice acted (with a few exceptions) by one guy, Littlekuriboh. He currently works with TeamFourStars (and was the voice of Freiza), and you can watched Yu-Gi-Oh Abridged on the TeamFourStar website.

Had a general question, guys. I mentioned I'd like to do a fantasy-based RP when we finish this RP, and that is still the plan. But just out of curiosity.... and this is gonna sound silly, but I had another idea that I ultimately gave up for the more practical RP idea...

Would anyone have been interested in a Pokemon-based RP? One that takes place in a world where Pokemon are the ruling species (no humans), with a more mature take on it (things like dying and such actually exist outside of Lavender town)?

Good to hear, though you would be a Chimchar, and eventually evolve into a Infernape. And you would likely get along well with my Fennekin.

Good to hear if I ever decide to do it, I'll have at least one person on board.

A more mature mystery dungeon style world? Dude.
I'd probably be down for either idea tbh. I mean, I was considering packing it in after this rp but as with each time I've considered that you just have to have some great idea that keeps me around. Damn you people and your creativity.

Alright, so imagine I was doing it. Who would be your three starting characters, and who would be the possible two additionals you added later on?

To start off, I would have a female Fennekin, my main upbeat, ready for adventure character, a male Ralts, shy and timid but faithful, and a male Munchlax, a little on the lazy side but stronger then he looks and friendly.

Then later on I would introduce a female Kirlia, the Ralt's estranged sister, and a Larvesta, who... I don't know what, I just friggin' love Volcarona.

If I had to chose right now, I'd probably say Torchic, Lotad and... uh... fuck it, Pidgey. Maybe add in a Gabite and a Reuniclus later. I dunno.

Everyone laughs at the guy who starts with Pidgey until they need to fly somewhere, and Pidgeot is their only means, and he refuses because you made fun of him. (Except for Snorlax. He's cool. But he can't get a ride because... you know... 6'11", 1014.1 lbs...)
