You know of MECs. It's not a separate game from XCOM: Enemy Unknown (or just 'XCOM'), just an expansion of content.

I will say this for myself and several other friends: verbal irony and sarcasm are nigh-imperceptible without vocal inflection. When all you have is text, there has to be a stronger hint. The way you wrote all of that out gave no indication that you were joking, and for us to assume that you were would mean that we won't be taking you seriously when you actually didn't know what we were talking about.
