OOC X-COM Think Tank (part 4)

Honestly, I think Ember should be a little scared now... We just took out her CO, who's way better than her...

Granted it was in a 5v1 fight, but uh... Fuck playing fair gank dat hoe.

I'd also suggest we hold her kitty kat hostage but... Hostages only work if they care if they live or die, I really don't think Ember cares about her little 'toy' all that much, she can always get a new one.
I'm not so sure Nigella is stronger than Ember. Nigella didn't have self-healing sentient armor.

Read, don't read it, enjoy it, don't enjoy it my solo op is up. It's my contribution to this siege.
Come on, Marine. Don't be so down. Especially after such a... powerful post.

Frankly, I will be struggling to do this piece justice.

I mean... wow. Powerful is the best way to describe it. Four parts, each with their own theme really. Carefree, then action pack, then heart-thumping intensity, then moving.

The broken nature of Leon and the way he obviously puts himself in danger because of his pain.

The subtle nod with the picture to show Leon still cares about people despite the hardships.

The intense escape from such powerful foes.

The awesome use of blink, with the spear and throwing it and... oh, such a joy to read.

The revelation, and the cold truth. Reality biting, ghosts of the past.

The pain Ignus was in along with Leon, and the passion behind her words.

The... the sad, no win situation. Die... or kill a friend...

The touching last words, and Leon reacting just as I expected a man who was saddened by the loss of a friend would.

The intensity between Leon and Desmond, and the horror in Desmond as he realizes he could easily be the one in this situation.

Seriously, Marine... for you to move me from interest, to excitement, to relief, to worry, to tears in such quick succession...

I loved this post is basically what I'm saying. This might be one of your absolute best posts, and you should be proud.

I'm wondering if Izzy handing Leon the ring has a hidden meaning. Considering the parallel that has been drawn between Leon and Desmond, who's to say Sinclair doesn't have an illegitimate child as well?

Hehe, youd have a point if I stated earlier on Leon had no past loves. There is sybolism though, and its to basically show the tangible nature of Leon accepting the burden of his promise to Izzy, and also *and this may be stupid to you but I thought it was clever* to show everything had come full circle with the reapers.

I like that. Clever to me.

To answer someone's question, there will not be any further missions in the siege beyond this point. The climax battle (and the segue operation that leads into it) is all that remains. The segue is something I'll be writing on my own. The climax fight itself necessitates myself and Marine. It doesn't require anyone else. Truth be told I had a piece planned in the middle that would involve me and Marine's task force members vs other people's characters amongst other things, but we're behind schedule as is and those bits aren't necessary.

Well damn, and I was looking forward to fighting some of the tasks force. But we need to continue the story so I'm cool with it.

Cool by me. This has given me quite the bit of fuel. Morrigan's actions. Alex on the cusp of a new power. Ayame's relationship. A new Ethereal to act as a correspondent at the least. Alex, Jennifer, and Joe (oh man, Joe) with Nouja. Brigid's take on the situation as someone outside the fighting. Jack getting his hands on new materials from Shen's lab (um... my Shen, not Gem's Shen), and perhaps a little special someone I've mentioned a few times making a late game appearance.

I'd make a joke about me being legal age now, but in Texas that was last year. Ah, birthdays. They remind you that you're a year past your youth and a year closer to sweet, sweet death.
I'm only jokingly being as edgy as a monomolecular sword. Happy birthday to myself.

Happy birthday dark, hope you enjoy it being a year older.

You know who I miss from SoD? The most underappreciated character of them all, whom no one ever talks about; Morrigan's cat. Remember her? Always sitting, always watching, always judging. Source of the occasional comic relief. Had a brief conversation with Atka once. Good times. You know, Ayame was actually supposed to have a pet raccoon dog in this story. But she didn't because... uh... well, to be honest, I completely forgot when we started.

...

...

...aaaaaanyway, new solo going up in a few minutes. Hope you guys enjoy. All aboard the crazy train! Toot toot!
