X-COM/XSDF RP THINK TANK (part3)

I'll (finally) be back home this time tomorrow, assuming that there's no issues with the trains. Over the next few days I'd like to try and work on several collabs with Al, I'm planning to get a large piece done during the hiatus, to post once it's over.

Long story short, as of tomorrow evening, I will be available again!

Allow me to expound upon the direction the story will be taking when I return from hiatus, both in regards to story elements and some OOC factors.

We will be having one last major mission that sets us in a detour around a certain star system cluster, and then along the home stretch we'll have a pivotal mission before arriving at Forseti. Depending on how things will go we might have a period of downtime with the story still going before the mysterious faction laying claim to Forseti reveals itself.

Once at Forseti the story date will be more flexible. I'll likely just set the month on the gdocs and progress time as I need to. It definetly will never be a day for a RO day though, story progression would get weird that way.

Make sure to not use up all of your character development or even half of it before we get to Forseti, considering the main storyline has yet to initiate. Great period to introduce a good amount of characters to each other pf course, and start developing certain plotlines (Such as what Marine did with Nick or I have begun with Kallpa.)

As for the OOC stuff, let's do a roll call.

DarkGemini24601 - Primary GM and your sadistic lord and master. 11 characters.
ZombieSplitter53 - Member and Story/Lore consultant. Our venerable wise man. 2 official characters plus the others that he'll use when he has time.
MarineAvenger - Assist. GM. 5 Characters
BMPixy - Assist. GM (Shudder in despair) 5 Characters.
Frostlich1228 - Member and bug lover. 2 Characters (For now... Dun dun dun!)
Adrammalech - Member and the Invidia to my Atka (joking of course). 5 characters.
Dahlexpert - Member and King of Destruction. 2 characters.
Taxor the First - Member and the Person that is Watching You. 5 characters.
Black0ut - Member and a psionic power. 1 character.
Mangrale - Member and the plant master. 1 character.
AlzDude28 - Member and fighter ace. 3 characters.

Understandably, not everyone remains. The status of the other three members:

Zain Shah - Hasn't posted signifigant content in four weeks. He has been on vacations, but over the hiatus I'd like him to re evaluate if he has the time to be playing his soldier character or not.
Euan - No content whatsoever in 4 weeks. Hasnt been on in half that time. Reasons were iffy. Most likely the end of the line for him.
PrismaCube - Departed due to personal reasons. Welcome to come back if things improve to the point where he can have regular XSDF content. However, Alex isnt gonna be the head engineer anymore, retcomning that to Alice or a mook that makes sense background and personality wise to be a leader.

Sounds great, nice to see you put time into the planning and have laid this out for us. One thing though, wouldn't really make sense for Alice to be Head of Engineering seeing as she answers to a 16 year old for the most part aside from the higher ups XP

Explain to me when the hell she was established as an assistant. They are partners, they work togehter.

And i doubt it can be someone new considering how anyone I would give the role to is at the character limit.

Me and Zombie both established her as his assistant. Yes, they could also be called [partners, the two are really not really that different in their context when in use about Nick and Alice. Sorry if that wasn't a little more clearer, thought it as fairly obvious.

Regardless, just as Rei was taken be Gem because the head of the labs should be controlled by the GM, the same should go for the head of engineering. We could shuffle things around to eventually make Alice the head of Engineering, which would involve her secret coming out first since she'd be too afraid to have that much spot light. Or, maybe she's offered it, and it ends up exposing her.

But I think that is something we should worry about after the hiatus. For now, please rest up a bit Gem. We all need you, you know that, and we're all concerned for you. We'll be ready and waiting when you get back.

And it has nothing to do with pushing you out. It is because we rely on you so much now. I know I do. I need happy Gem. Fun Gem. He makes me smile, the way he gets super excited about things and passionate about his writing, it makes everyone around him (metaphorically speaking) excited. So please, do what you can to rest up, and take as little or as much time as you need.

Except I'm not actually using Rei all that much, nor will I EVER want to create another whole character to be head of engineering. If no one notice or listened to me, I don't want any characters in engineering since I already have enough on my plate.

I have the eleven... characters in my signature. I'm not playing more.

But I see how it is. Everyone treats me this way now. I'm never allowed to get upset or angry anymore. I'm not allowed to do anything but work my ass off.

If it's my parents then I'm letting them down, wasting their money, wasting their tome.

If it's here I'm being unreasonable and upsetting other people and I should stop and go away.

You want to know the truth? It may hAve been other factors that built up to it, but the day Zmby had to leave I was the catalyst. Because I complained about a lack of content without realizing just how bad zmby had it.

Is it my fault? Of course. Even if I couldn't have realized my commwnt would upset him. I don't know if I'm cursed, unlucky, or just an inconsiderate asshole at heart, but I Am not ALLOWED to feel anything. Bad thinngs happen if I do or bad things get worse.

I've talked with Gem and he's feeling a bit better. Please resume your usual XCOM leading to Pokemon porn leading to Dragon Ball Z leading to My Little Kitten leading to odd random comments leading, somehow, back to XCOM again.
