Appearance (BWH Measurements - 32C-23-30):
Irina has a thin frame that is sometimes unassuming, and sometimes draws attention. Although she is beautiful, she doesn't often show it off, wearing simple clothing like a black shirt with long sleeves and long gray pants, sometimes with a fuzzy dark gray coat. She tends to favor darker colors, only wearing white medical clothing when at work. Irina doesn't fall into the emo stereotype though, abhorring eyeshadow and usually forgoing most makeup products.
Personality:
The Beaumont daughter is soft spoken and shy, but intensely loyal. She is the type of person that would take a bullet for a dear friend or family member without hesitation. Despite this, she does not make friends easily, lacking refined social skills or the courage to meet new people on her own. Even if she fears interacting with people, she doesn't dislike them, doing her best to heal any under her care. On her own, Irina listens to classical music and plays the clarinet, not that she would likely tell you either of those things.
Bio:
Although Irina was born in the ravaged city of Moscow, still suffering from deep wounds inflicted by the alien invaders, no one in her family was truly Russian. Gregory and Therese Beaumont were French immigrants, having left their old country for new economic horizons. Irina's father was a craftsman, her mother a musician, and both hoped that their distinctly foreign talents would be valued in the capital. And they were, though that is not to say the two did not know how to assimilate.
Their firstborn child was a son they gave a Russian name, Kliment. By the time he was four, he received a sister in Irina. The two seemed like ideal siblings, occasionally squabbling but truly caring about each other. Kliment was the athletic boy, and Irina the studious girl with glasses. And then, on November 11th of 2024, Kliment fell gravely ill to a sudden malady. The doctors couldn't understand what was wrong with him, and three days later, he was dead. Poor Irina, only five at the time, was heartbroken and couldn't understand why she could no longer see her brother. Only gradually did she come to understand what had transpired.
Any social skills she might have shown were lost with this early tragedy, and Irina became something of an outcast, choosing to stay inside and study rather than play with the other children. Her parents worried, but came to realize that Irina was coping in her own way. She was happy learning in school and being taught how to play an instrument by her mother, despite not having friends to speak of.
In middle school after her family moved to St. Petersburg, she naturally joined the band, making tepid friends but never really seeking to get to know them better. Being the shy new kid, only one person in particular did she find herself able to identify with, a Russian-American named Sasha Dragomirov. The two became fast friends, keeping in touch even after Sasha realized that she was a poor musician and dropped out of band. Irina kept herself distant from Sasha's friends, fearing that they were not as kind as they let on. She gradually saw them grow into bullies, and grew more worried by Sasha turning a blind eye to their behavior at first.
They eventually turned on Sasha, but even as she felt as if she was losing all her friends, Irina was there for her, offering quiet reassurances. Even when things started to improve for Irina, namely having corrective surgery that gave her 20/20 vision back, the two's bond did not break. But as fate would have it, Irina was dragged away from Sasha. The same disease that struck her brother wrapped its claws around her life and squeezed. Irina was rushed to a hospital, where advancing treatment kept her alive longer than her brother. Even so, it seemed as if Irina was destined to die too.
In this moment of hopelessness, a savior appeared for her. Having received a pleading call from Sasha's mother, a medical expert from Exalt Enterprises, one of the sisters named Lily Exalt, came to do what she could for Irina. Arriving in St. Petersburg, Lily came to understand what was the cause of Irina's sickness. She suffered from the same illness that her brother once did. Having developed something of a solution, Lily gave Irina treatment for the malady, though the latter felt a twang of guilt that her brother could not be saved in time, and she had lived where he had died.
Irina returned to school just in time to graduate with her dear friend Sasha. Ever studious, she had done her best to keep up with her studies, even in the hospital. And this devotion didn't go unnoticed, Lily offering to sponsor the 18 year old to go to a prestigious medical school on Luna. At first, Irina tried to decline, but after support for the idea by her parents and Lily revealing her desire to have the young woman work for her afterwards, Irina accepted the offer.
The young woman found that her introversive nature served her well there. Turned off by the arrogance of her peers and others on the colony, Irina was actually better off not making friends and concentrating on her studies. Graduating at 22, she spent her residency working in a town named Stella. It wasn't a boring three years there. Irina was fascinated by the oxygen pockets that made up the colony's 'sweet spots' for civilization, as well as the wildlife adapted to the nitrogen-shrouded hills surrounding the bastions of humanity.
Her expertise served the colony citizens well as she took care of normal medical problems and had to adapt to some of the alien diseases on the planet. Her skill in dealing with the problems she faced, her calm demeanor and innovative nature were all qualities that got her noticed by the XSDF. And although Lily was a bit disappointed to see her prodigy stolen, for now at least, she wasn't about to stop Irina from joining the eXtra-Stellar Defense Force.
Special Notes: Eyes repaired to full range of vision by a normal human. Irina doesn't have qualms about genetic modification or cybernetic enhancements as long as they aren't used purely for war. She is a bit wary of psionics, not able to understand how they work, but has no ill will towards psions. She hasn't met many aliens, so expect her to be curious upon meeting new races, even if she's unlikely to approach them initially.
I don't even remotely like that series.Never gonna beat Ellie...she will always be the original doctor (Also I swear...one doctor who joke...just one, and I will find you...and I WILL kill you.)
Which I will forever refer to as "Zora-mode"....and a little known ability few have seen her use.
Demon fairy...Which I will forever refer to as "Zora-mode".
I say go ahead if you have the drive to.So I've been tinkering with some stuff on Steam, considering using Sims or something like that to create a character. I came across a modeler that's simple enough for my technological scrubness to handle, and I threw together a quick model of Abigail to test it out.
There are some obvious problems, namely the gloss on the head and such, and the face isn't radically different from the default...but anyway, think I should try to do this for all my characters? It'd be kind of time-consuming, but fun to try anyway.
Congrats a bunch Frost. Hope you enjoy your day. I only have 5 days of school left and then all I have to do are tests.Well guys, today's my graduation day!
That means that after today I'll have much, much more time to finish up my bios.
