X-COM THINK TANK (Out of Character Discussion about X-COM and the Series)

I skimmed through a few of the requests in the last page, writing down my thoughts as I went along. One mistake I saw that recurred is to/too, you may want to keep an eye on that in future posts (don't worry, I have the same problem with it's/its). Other than that, it's good in the grammar...

Yours is great, I only saw one typo (named instead of name in the first line) and the format is pretty solid. The only thing I'd say is to separate and label when the biographical description stops and the dialogue begins. I like the idea of Angel and Odd bonding over their weird names. :p

A few things I notice straight away: you should always place a space after any punctuation, not just periods. Also, use ellipses (...) sparingly, and only ever use three periods in them. You should also press enter twice for line breaks on these forums, so there's a visual break in text. i.e...

Yeah, he said he has other commitments in his life and there are obviously a lot more applications than he might've expected for this season. A little delay won't kill us. Probably.

You could also have someone poor who needs to provide for their loved ones (platonic or romantic) as well, in a indirect "I'll die for my family/love" way. That's assuming XCOM isn't officially conscripting everyone and actually pays or provides for their soldiers, even though some members in...

She might also request a soldier refrain from using explosives or convince the commander/Bradford of being more careful about giving such orders. It would probably be insubordinate to do so, but Vahlen is nothing if not insistent.

I hope no one minds me chiming in here as I've been a silent observer until now, but I think I understand both sides of the coin here, and I agree with Suryce's breakdown of why the posting limit would be good. When a small number of people are creating a large density of the content - even if...
