Okay, I'll do my best. I'm just worried something will happen in the middle and I'll have to leave before it's done.
Meet on my doc #1 when ready.Ready when you guys are
*Slowly looks around and posts a collab when nobody is looking.*Just posted my collab with Frost before the mission gets posted.
Thank you very much. I was worried about how this mission might go over, and I am relieved to see this positive outlook.Very well-orchestrated quest. It was a nice change of pace that the mission started out with them going into the woods, and encountering a whole lot of nothing while still remaining tense. I thought for sure Farron was going to bite it this mission, so when it cut away from him I was expecting him to be a corpse or dragged off horror-style into the brush, attacked by the Predator. Nice surprise that it was just a boar. And Charter had me tense when he was ignoring the lizards; I could tell by the narrative focus on them that they weren't just forest animals. Fucking mini-basilisks, the most dangerous babbies known to mankind.
What happened to Slone pretty much summed up my fears about bringing dogs on missions: they're poor-equipped to deal with the supernatural. Fortunate that he made it, I can tell by Charter's reaction that he would have gone Van Dam Berserker Mode if Slone had died. You thought Wolf!Titania was inconsolable? Try an enraged VD warrior. Anyway, the others fought well too. I was initially skeptical of Arlia's 'chi' techniques, but they seem to fit a nice 'physical' magic niche that I have in my own fantasy stories. And Betty's steam use of the gauntlet had me grinning like an idiot. You said you were going to do a poor job Frost? In the words of that one Republican Congressman, blurted out with the utmost rudeness, "YOU LIE!"
And at long last, the plot is beginning to be set in motion. It seems my suggestion about 'unexpected enemies' has actually become a major plot point. The plot thickens with Havenbrook having a line to the gods. It would explain why Nemesis singled out Zulik in particular... granted, he's quite the unique guy, but there's also the element of him being involved in a guild that clearly is holding onto some... divine secrets. Havenbrook's owed an explanation about the Princess, but I suspect we're going to need one eventually when we find out
that the Goddess of Discord is the one fucking with us. I suspect that the reason Tecunte and Seclevar are going after us is more complicated than just 'we set back their plans for that one town a bit'. They have something against Wilhelmina, I bet.
Titania really is becoming Guild mom. And I like it. Kinda like my mom. Nice when she needs to be, but cross her and she explodes like an angry wolf.*Slowly looks around and posts a collab when nobody is looking.*
To be honest, I wasn't to sure about Chi myself. It was an interesting idea that worked perfectly for Stormrend... but I was afraid I would go overboard on the capabilities and end up godmoding accidentally. Thx for you support Gem, it's actually becoming more balanced than I could hope for and others are free to adopt the technique for any future characters. :3Very well-orchestrated quest. Hey, it's her own adaptation of Pepper SprayMeanwhile I plan to have Betty do something with that metric ton of Basilisks we killed. Her flamethrower isn't coming along so well, buuuut she could do other things with what she's made so far...
Pressurize a bunch of lizard gas, attach a nozzle to the contain, have a switch that releases the gas, perhaps some sort of steam-engine that helps with the projectile length, control the spread with an adjustable exit hole... viola, Petrithrower.Meanwhile I plan to have Betty do something with that metric ton of Basilisks we killed.
