I'm not convinced someone didn't use cryptotechnology to induce a psychotic breakdown on him.

That's actually fantastic. The detail on the skin with the brush is intricate, same for the armor, and they know him quite well, based upon the mix of void and fire magic displayed.
He has gotten unusually crazy unusually fast...
