There is something I mention to some of you during character creation but was pointed out that I didn't explain to everyone was the idea of 'universal magical abilities'.
Everyone has their own unique tricks And ways of using their magic, but there are three things anyone with magic (magic strong enough to manifest) can use. One is producing a small amount of that magic, for example a small flame, a small gust of wind, or a small ball of light.
Second, anyone can make a basic magical attack in the shape of a ball or a bolt.
Finally, anyone can imbue their hand weapon with their element. The idea is, if you have a magical element but are mostly a hand-weapon fighter, magic wouldn't be much use in battle unless you can imbue.
So if you are fighting against something weak against fire, and you're stronger with magic, you throw fireballs. If you are a stronger fighting physically, you imbue your sword with fire to add some extra damage.
Just note that imbue a weapon with magic will give a tiny bit more damage to it, but is otherwise pointless unless the enemy is weak to the element (or weak to magic in general).
