I always feel like a scrub when I use him though, even if he did get nerfed hard in the new game. Samus, Kirby, Dedede and Greninja. Thems my guys. And girl. No one knows what the hell Kirby is.

Posted a short report from the Overseer regarding the state of the world.

Also I pose this question before I pass out and most likely die of exhaustion. Would India have really fallen to the aliens so quickly? Even tough they don't have XCOM support they do still have a military so for future countries we should still keep in mind that these guys are not cave men with sticks and arrows. If the US today were to pull out I would wager they would be able to hold their ground for the most part. Also wouldn't India be a prime target for EXALT considering they cut ties with XCOM? That could be a big potential ally...

It is eerie how much that guy know about EXALT activity. If I were his enemy I would be crapping my pants.
Oh, but you are. Desmond hasn't forgotten his purpose, has he?

It's been a decent amount of time since India fell, and as we discussed earlier in the think tank, it's more got the feel of an occupied country than one nuked to shit. Occupied by aliens. Aliens wouldn't want India talking to their enemies. Or anyone, really. Just in case whoever they do talk to decides to become an enemy just because they don't like the sound of, say, mandatory anal probing every week.
Mind you, the Overseer doesn't know anything about it, since for one reason or another, no one is reporting to him. That's his whole problem with it. For all he knows, everyone in the country is indeed dead. Until such time as they're proven alive, he's making assumptions.
As for EXALT wanting to pally up with India, same deal. Plus, the relationship between EXALT and the aliens is kinda dubious at best. Especially since they shot down some of their aircraft. I'd be kinda mad if I were them.

I don't think India "fell" so much as the aliens had easy access to the government from their base, leading the mind controlled leaders to withdraw. I would imagine there's a "resistance" of some sort there that's dodging both the aliens and the government, like in ME3.

Never played a Final Fantasy game in my entire life. Or Metal Gear. Or Dark Souls. Until recently, never played a Dead Rising game. Came to X-COM EU late, came to Bioshock Infinite late, came to Metroid super late, came to Mass Effect super late, came to Fallout super late and I've really only just started having a proper go at it. I'd say the only games I've ever played within a month of their release were Pokemon Emerald and Smash Bros 4.

So on the matter of which FF game is best, I'll defer to your judgement.

If you ever play Dark Souls, good luck. That's all i can say.

I liked the Overseer post...it was informative and fun to read, without giving away anything important about EXALT (yet still summing up some of their known activities)

My only concern is that he knows Jimenez went to London...I might have done a bad job explaining that only he got the note saying where to go, but my worry is that leaves a strong link to Cross Technologies once Elene starts making...mechanized troops.

Maybe the Colombian official who Elene paid off got paid off again. Or maybe his computer password is "password." You know how them corrupt bureaucrats is.

Remember, though, she didn't pay him off. He had no clue that Jimenez was being moved. Avanix posed as an important offical and attempted to cover her tracks.

Progress Waits for No One. I've been told Elene's research has a strong militaristic theme to it, but let me counter that. Doesn't XCOM's research have the same theme? And whose fault is that that Elene shares it? *Ahem, its XCOM's...and the fact that the aliens don't share their technology willingly, now do they?*

If Keith David isn't the leader of the resistance, then the country isn't worth saving.

Or, my personal favorite, "iheartrainbows44".

In regards to Jimmy, I was going off the idea that he would have been sighted at the airport, the airline would have recorded him as having gone to london/he was seen at London airport. Short of murdering everyone in both airports (which would have drawn attention), there would have been at leas one person who said "Tall guy, Colombian? Yeah, I saw him go through here." or something like that. That was the idea, anyway.

The report things will crop up every so often as the RP progresses, and I'll try not to use my knowledge as someone who's read everything in them. I'm actually glad you people are picking it apart and forcing me to defend it, since it makes me think about my own logic and whether it's flawed in some way. That way I don't end up breaking the balance of "wot we know" versus "wot we have no clue about". Plus I throw a few red herrings/references/jokes in there for a laugh. Anyone who's ever played Civ will understand "why Gandhi".

Getting off topic. Point is, criticize away. It hurts so good.

Oh, yeah, I remember now. Teehee. Plus, he's taking revenge for India.

I think the Overseer's report reminds me something of the "news text" feed in the situation room. Some of it is relevant, and the rest is meaningless crap. xD

I don't know if he'd stand out that much, he just got on a plane and went to a large city. That happens a lot at airports, I think. Still, his profession isn't really a secret and he's generally a mean looking fellow, so I suppose it's plausible.

Wait, so Emma is making MECs? David might have a few things to say about that :/

I swear, with the changes in age, slight similatrities in clothing, and some subconcious factor I can't explain, ALICE keeps on reminding me of a certain former kiss-shot acerola-orion heart-under-blade.
