Maybe she would be more sympathetic if she had an attachment to him. But she doesn't, so...yeah, things are pretty bleak for our relationship.

Like I said, I'll be working on a story so far summary, and you can get to know the characters personally. Though...since I am a little busy, if anyone else can help out, be my guest...
Tips: Use your imagination, keep in mind what class you want them to be (if they are a soldier), don't forget a few character flaws, and have fun with it.

Just have fun with it, and if you do have a incredibly strong character make sure to point there weaknesses.

To ZombieSpitter and Dahlexpert, literally one of my favorite hobbies is character design, both visually and in terms of personality. So character flaws and such are not a problem for me, haha.
If anyone wants to see my dumb original characters, this is my OC tag on my Tumblr. The character I'd like to RP as is named Juniper Ica. (Note, that I'm currently in the process of tweaking her design and color palette.) If I do go with her, I'll write her a bio for the XCOM universe, since it's obviously different from the canon universe I have for her and the rest of my characters. I daydream a lot... There's a universe in my head.
But yeah... TL;DR is do not worry about lack of creativity or shallow characters from me. If anything I just need to know how the posting process works. I know that I need to check in here in the think tank to make sure what I'm writing fits into the canon of this story.

XCOM: A Story of Defiance is for all base-related postings, and general roleplay. X-COM Roleplay Character Bios is where you would post your character's biography.
X-COM Mission thread is where we post the missions. If you're on one, that's where you and anyone you were working with you post.
And I can relate. I suck at art, but there are ideas for varied worlds that float around in my head, and find their way into roleplays, journals, and hopefully one day, books, tv shows, or movies.

There's not much to XCOM's recruiting policy. Military experience is preferred but not required. The only major rule is that you can't be extorted into service. Other than that, you can be any color, from any country, with any problems; so long as your arms can shoot aliens.

I didn't notice that before, but it's certainly interesting. I think the powers are a little too fantasy at the moment, but they could emerge as we get further into psy developments.

For re-working her for XCOM, she won't have her special abilities. At least not at the start. I did mention to MarineAvenger in a private conversation that making Juni have a psy gift could be neat.
Also, my thoughts for Juni's back story in this universe is that she wanted to be a police officer (which she is in her original universe), but she got drafted/offered to join the military because of the alien threat, and then she just kind of went with it. Then maybe from there she got recruited into the XCOM project. So she willingly joins, but it's not exactly what she wanted in life. Also that she's not very mentally prepared for what she sees in XCOM.
Another thing that came to my mind is that she's not very experienced, but that XCOM is starting to get less picky about who they recruit out of desperation. (I think Marine mentioned there were some losses in the last mission? So I got the impression that in the story things aren't going so well for XCOM at the moment.) So she'd kind of start out feeling like, "What the heck am I even doing here?"
I still have no idea what's happening in the current story line, so some basic current events might help, haha.

Yeah, if someone could compile that stuff, it would be great...we don't need character-specific information, just XCOM's progress and some other stuff. I want to but...time...
And XCOM is receiving some European soldiers/Indian soldiers to bolster their ranks, but yes, they would be starting to get a little low on highly-skilled recruits, so Juni being less than capable would make sense.

Yeah, because I really have no idea where things stand over all in XCOM in the RP. I just read through a bit of The Story of Defiance, but now I'm even more confused because it's like a bunch of little side-plots going on at once, heh...
