Sorry I haven't been available for the last few days. I ended up getting strep throat and respiratory influenza at the same time, something I thought impossible, and not because I don't see someone getting a bacterial infection and viral infection at the same time, but because I didn't think it possible for someone to be that unlucky, even me.

At any rate, I've got my antibiotics, and I had to shell out $137 for ten pills of some flu symptom reducing pills. Hopefully, I'll be awake enough to help out with the New Delhi mission tomorrow. Can't make any assurances, but with me being stuck home, as I am too contagious to go to work, I should have plenty of time to work on the RP whenever I'm awake.

In lighter news, despite the conditions, Ms. Cross preformed admirably, as did the rest of the squad. Congratulations, Sergeant.

(If you call that a pity promotion I will sick a giga-chryssalid on you. Ammelia managed to kick ass when she could use her sniper rifle, and do well with her laser pistol. Despite a bit of complaining. ;))

She has reason to complain a little. :p

Did you like the paranormal stuff I added in there?

Just a quick post to confirm my continued survival.

Glad to see the site is back up. Technical difficulties happen, Sarge. Don't beat yourself up about it. It's fine, I forgive you.

Happy late birthday frost!

And yes, I do have plans for the base defense. Penny will be running around panicking and the Overseer will be sitting around panicking.
In all seriousness though, I do have some plots. I'll wait until we get details on what's actually happening and where before I commit to anything, but I've already written the beginning in my mind.

Alright, with that, I have all the data I need for Zombie when our illustrious GM returns.

Off topic, but gosh friggin' darnit, I've unraveled another mystery as to why I've been feeling like complete shite lately.

I've mentioned before, but a few days ago, I made the connection that the reason I've been an emotional wreck is because I've been using a topical steroid for a skin condition I've got. My sister and I both have a history of having zero emotional control when on any sort of steroid for some reason.

Now yesterday, I was cleaning my humidifier. Now, I have a grudge against humidifiers. The 4 humidifiers I've had over the past few years have been SO poorly designed. It's either that there's just no way to clean certain parts of them, or there's no way to clean them without getting water in the electronics. I swear that some of the humidifiers I've had are designed to commit suicide by water after awhile so that you have to buy a new one... I hate humidifiers so much, but they're a necessary evil for me because my skin's so sensitive.
Anyways, getting back to my point, I was cleaning my humidifier last night, only this time I used a more concentrated bleach because I'd been so fed up with how quickly the basin water would get scuzzy. Note that I clean this dang thing to the best of my ability every other day. Turns out, there's a nearly impossible to clean nook behind the water ionizer thing. When I rinsed the stronger bleach back there, a GIANT SLUG-LIKE CLUMP OF PURE BLACK MOLD EMERGED LIKE A KRAKEN FROM HELL. The more I rinsed it, the more friggin chunks of black mold came out. I even went and got my Mom to be like, "Are you seeing this shit?!" because she'd thought I'd been exaggerated the shittiness of this humidifier. She believes me now.
However, I breathed so much better last night now that ionized black mold water wasn't being sprayed into my room. Headache's getting a bit better too.

I hate humidifiers.
I hate them so much.

Edit: I just cleaned my humidifier again today (going to start cleaning that little shit every day now), and with the bleach rinse I didn't get any more eldritch horrors coming out of it. So I guess I did a good job cleaning it last night. Now I've just got to keep it that way...

I give you, proudly presenting on behalf of my two collaborators, Operation Liberating Strike. The longest mission in the RP, beating even the main attack of the Base Assault (AKA Ancient Walls) that had four people, mind you. With Zombie as the aliens (a good portion of the time) and Ayame, Adramma as Unit 1 including Dallas, Nika, Sven, and Emily, and me as Atka, Modya, and Unit 2, it was a blast. Enjoy it! I DEMAND THAT YOU ENJOY IT!

On a serious note, I'm sick, Adramm is still probably getting over being sick, and Gemini has been looking forward to this mission for, like, longer then this RP has been going on, and we spent about, I don't know, six... seven hours straight working on it, and that doesn't include prep time. So please read, because I know you'll enjoy.

And remember, if you don't:

I read it and it was awesome!

I even had heavy metal playing in the backround during, made everything 20% more badass. :D

tl;dr

Jkjk, I like having my hippocampus.

Anywho, joking aside, this was quite an epic mission. All I could think of when I saw the alien barge was:

Also, I now have a goal to outdo. *coughGangplankcough*

Please note that, after Adramm and Gemini post an epilogue for the New Delhi campaign (posted mine earlier today), everyone will return to base. After that, we'll have one small mission (being worked on right now by Dahl), then a calm before the storm, in which there is very little activity from the aliens and everyone is creeped out, then the base defense. This'll give everyone time to prepare for the base defense, especially if the have their own thing they plan to do. If anyone is interested in what my characters will be doing during that time, for the sake of collabs:

Morrigan: Paper work from New Delhi, regret over recent actions, and one or two things that are about to happen that'll effect her emotionally.

Brigid: Mostly being six, growing suspicious about how people act around her, growing suspicious of exactly how benevolent her furry friend is.

Jessica/Alexia: Locked up, but that'll hopefully change soon. Assuming it does, she'll be struggling to get back into the swing of things, and likely have her hands full with Modya and Desmond.

Aya and Eve: Helping with paper work, back to training soldiers, anticipating more work with the opening of the Psi Lab.

Sunny: "Work" in the Psi Labs

Ayame: Dealing with the suddenly shift from an active battle zone to the relative calmness of X-COM HQ.

In addition, I'll likely be doing something more with the new characters I introduced. I'm not sure what, exactly, but they're available for collabs, as much as the rest.
