I know there hasn't been any Story of Defiance content from me since Sunday, but I ought to warn you all not to expect anything from me until late friday or saturday. Working from sunrise to sunset between schoolwork, stuff involving career plans, and chores. I...really hope this is just an awful week. If this turns out to be the norm, there's no nice way to put it in regards to my participation: I'm fucked.
So let's all hope Gem's creative outlet and means of entertainment isnt going to be stolen from him by time constraints. It is too early to make any judgements, but I know that ill be expected to do a lot of community serivce stuff, clubs, and etc in the future. Combine that with high level classes...and vacations/summer work camps... Story of Defiance may be the first and last thing I do with you guys.

I know I had that feeling when I was prepping the move and doing a big test week at once, but things evened out later on. My advice, just handle your business, don't worry about being super active, it'll only stress you out more. You're allowed to have a light or off week now and then.
(Speaking of which, I think I'll be pushing back the remainder of my covert op to tomorrow due to unforeseen circumstances. Gives everyone a chance to be up to date, I guess.)

Well, as you said, with luck this won't be the norm.
But, if it does become the norm: try to find some time to relax in that mess of a schedule you have there. From the looks of it, you've been put on the path to an inevitable burn-out. Hell, even if it's just an hour or two every few days, just take some time out and relax in whatever way you do so. Don't want a bright mind like yours reduced to mush as the results of trying to fulfill other people's expectations. After all, work too hard fulfilling other's expectations in regards to your future and you end up losing sight of yourself and where you want to go.
However, if the struggle to succeed requires such sacrifices as you detail, well, I wish you luck in whatever future you seize for yourself.
Managed to get a solo out. It is something low key and I hope you enjoy this little change of pace.
Brownie points to the person who guesses who all the animals are and who the teen was. (I am sure made it obvious but screw it, I liked how it turned out.

Boy - From the context clues and his manner of speaking, I want to guess Viktor. Though if that is the case that's wishful thinking of Desmond's part, as the real Viktor would never behave like that.
Wolf - Very obviously Atka. Combine the fact that her symbol is an alpha wolf and she has blue eyes, that one was a no-brainer.
Rabbits - More vague, it could be anyone. Siblings like Aya and Eve, or parent and child like Morrigan and Brigid
Dragonflies and the Frog - Jessica/Alexia and Modya, you bastard... "...tough time deciding which one to go with first."

Pretty much right. Rabbits were Morrigan and Brigid, frog and dragonflies were right, birds were right, wolf was purposefully obvious. And that question at the end was left open for interuptation but there is an underlying cause that I won't spoil right away. (Huge hint being he wasn't a man in the 'dream')

Damn it, my notice thingy didn't update, and I didn't realize how much you've written. Doing a quick catch up. So far, really good.

I have an idea for a post, or at least a plot that would take a post or two to set up, but I'm trying to find the motivation for it. Something about my days off of work make me lazy, probably because they a few a farther between now. Think I'll play a little Bayonetta, and work on it in a hour or two. Gotta get in the right frame of mind, or it won't come out good.

Btw, in regards to the mission posts. I really like them, they're well done, but... *sigh* At least we don't have to put up with Mariya and Johnny anymore, the amount of sexual stuff was starting to get out of hand.
Agreed. Not a big fan of cold-blooded murder, but I'll make an exception with Johnny. And Mariya reminded me of a character I made in season three (in a bad way). Glad to see her get the boot.
