I liked the "sort of but not really" conversation that Isaac and Samuel were having, and the moments where you could tell AY was nearby even if there was no visual to go along with it. That ending though... quite interesting, and powerful. I like the idea that Samuel's partially carrying on Isaac's legacy, while partially following his own path.

Ooh, wasn't expecting a Dahl/Blackout collab. Nice. Good to see how Red is affected by the base defense, its a good opportunity for character development (as I've done with Yak) and for him to meet some more people. I'm a little dubious about his 'fear of psions', since I remember that having been used before and it ended up alienating the character to a lot of their friends... but in Red's case it looks more like being afraid of the powers than it does the people for some mindbending reason.
Well, isn't that just the difference between being afraid of guns and being afraid of people who own and regularly use guns. They both have their merits.
And either way, you have to figure someone would honestly be uncomfortable with psions/psionics. Fear of the unknown and all that. People just need to not quit on him, even if his beliefs alienate others, until they can hopefully convince him otherwise. Kinda like how Morrigan wouldn't quit on Yakone.

I would say a fear of an individual that owns and uses guns would be rational, a fear of all gun owners would be irrational. But that's just the second amendmenter in me. XP
Poor analogy perhaps. Um... fear of all... mutants! There you go. Like in the X-MEN. Some of the people are bigotous assholes, but there are people that just don't understand that just because some mutants are bad, most just want to be treated like normal people. They just need someone like Xavier to educate them (as opposed to Magneto to kill them).

Word of warning, if you save a post as a draft and don't post it within... I think its a 24 hour timer... the draft goes away. Thank God I saved that entry on a word doc because I was paranoid about that happening. (Q: What entry, Gem? A: You'll just have to wait and see.)

AT... LONG LAST... I have finished the new skill profiles for our revised classes. We will be having Echelon 1 through 5 in terms of skills, with 6-7 being gained later. There are now a total of 12 classes, with one or two just being NPCs. I'll show you them in the morning when I can properly take snips without my eyes glazing over. For now just trust me that they're awesome. I've let most people know if their class was going to change or stay the same despite modifications, though those with a Trooper are in for a pleasant surprise... the fruits of your labors as the 'boring' class...
