Just thought I say this now, but I'm thinking of seeing if I can get a second chance at XCOM. I know it's a little late to do it, but I'm sure we as a community can work things out. I've improved my RP skills with DS and other side stuff that never got posted.

But I would like your guy's thoughts. Do you think I'm ready to try my hand at XCOM, or should I wait for something else so I have more practice?

Yeah, it is pretty late in the game. I'm at the point where I've trimmed the dead weight from the RP and I'm not keen on taking risks by bringing in new people a third (if not more) of the way through the story.

But in the interest of stopping you from persisting with this question, I'll give you one chance. Make a character bio and submit it to me. I'm really busy this week, so I'm not going to be able to assist you all that much - you'll have to refer to the Rules thread for most of your questions. If you give me something workable, I'll help you craft a character and possibly admit you to the RP. But if it would be more trouble and stress than it's worth, I'll veto the bio and that'll be the end of it.

So guys, I went back to XCOM season 2 back when we were with ODD. And my god did we wright some short as shit solos back then, my god i we go back to what we wrote back then and see what we did now it's a huge difference. Though I think the only people from season 2 is me @ZombieSplitter53 and @Frostlich1228 .

I remembers. It was because we were testing the water. Better then jumping in head first. Heck, back then we didn't even do collabs over conversations much, just made dialogues and hoped we got the other character right (which I remember yelling at you about, Dahl.:rolleyes:)

When I found out I was spelling which wrong for two seasons, I facepalmed so hard.

As you read my latest solo, don't go into it thinking its just a typical "recovery from the deaths of my friends" sort of deal. It's only a beginning, and Yakone's not exactly handling it in a way that's totally healthy...
Especially when she injects certain things into her soliloquy that aren't pertinent to the fallen.
After you read, do look up the meaning of "Ostentatious" if you're unfamiliar with the word. It'll give you some further insight into the post.

I mean, a good read of course... but so sad! I want to hug her... even if she would probably punch me in the face for it.

I finally start reading XCOM and the first story just had to be depressing. sighs

It is interesting to think of the different ways Yakone and Alexis are reacting, with Yakone externalizing a lot of her anger while Alexis internalized it. It is times like these that friends are of the utmost importance, especially since... I don't see Atka being readily available to comfort Yakone, or Yakone accepting her comfort.
