I didnt even know she could work in that capacity.

That depends. Does Noire have any engineering skills related to any field? If so, tell me what those are and I'll tell you how she could help out. (Non-engineering personnel can only help, they are never in charge of projects and are always subordinate to regular engineers when it comes to helping out. Come XCOM2, most soldiers will be needed to help with projects, but in Vanguard of Forseti it's not nearly as necessary.)

If she doesn't have any engineering skills yet, we already have machines for the heavy lifting, so she wouldn't be helping out. Not to stamp on ideas, but unless she has a reasonable amount of engineering knowledge it's best to leave it to the professionals. (By that I mean: don't tell me she's magically some sort of expert, she might have basic to moderate knowledge in some field, but she wouldn't be more qualified than our staff by any means.)

Noire has a basic engineering skills, she's mostly a manic she likes to think she can fix any thing. If Noire wants to create things she will have to learn how to do it.

She can't fix magical fix a star ship, but she does have basic knowledge in robotic and weapon making.

She could be helping check weapons from the armory for defects or repairing a combat droid of some sort then.

... Gem save my teenager's innocence, he can't be exposed to Noire levels of humanity, James is already enough of an influence XD

Since I figure this would be helpful if you want more than one of my characters in a collab together, here's a chart of interrelationships (Counting a solo that has already happened chronologically, even if I haven't written it yet and will have to reference it in a flashback of sorts). Unlisted Character <-> Character means they don't know eachother yet.

Hermes <-> Vindicta: Acquaintances.
Hermes <-> Kallpa: Roommates.
Hermes <-> Kelio: Former knows the latter thru Kallpa.
Hermes <-> Astasha: They've met.
Hermes <-> Terratorra: Squadmates.

Sasha <-> Vindicta: They've met once before the XSDF possibly.
Sasha <-> Irina: Close friends.
Sasha <-> Kallpa: Friends.
Sasha <-> Kelio: Former knows the latter thru Kallpa.
Sasha <-> Mikhail: Siblings.
Sasha <-> Astasha: They've met.

Irina <-> Mikhail: Acquaintances.
Irina <-> Frederick: Have spoken before.
Irina <-> Terratorra: Worked together.

Addington <-> Astasha: Former works under latter, and they do interact.
Addington <-> Frederick: Have spoken on occasion.

Kallpa <-> Kelio: Friends.
Kallpa <-> Mikhail: Friends.

Astasha <-> Frederick: Work together.

Considering that mispotrayal of my character, I'm going to have to make a couple of edits to that post. Seeing as I don't have that power within the website, and my assistants with such powers are preoccupied:

Dahl, take down that post. I'm going to fix it up and then let you repost it. I'll be fixing it on my main doc.

A note about Vanguard of Forseti weapon progression: We might be getting some rendition of Grenade Launchers as a primary weapon. I realize that the one on the MEC isn't how an actual grenade launcher works now. That... said, I don't think we're gonna have the resources to be chunking out a bunch of miniature grenades at a practical speed of 45 per minute. We have plasma hand grenades and alloy antipersonnel grenades, but we use those sparingly (hence the limit on equipment). If I had to chose between making grenade launchers slower-firing or making them rarely used, I'll go with the former.

Also... are beam laser/pulse laser based explosives sensible at all, or should I maintain that laser techs don't work for explosives until the end of time?

Did someone say disco grenades?

On a more serious note, all you need for explosive lasers is enough power applied to a small enough target over a short enough time. Getting it over cover is the hard part.

Don't know if this helps at all, but the USS Enterprise (NCC-1701-D) from Star Trek TNG, which housed over 1000 people, many of whom were civilians or non-Starfleet members, was 642.5 meters long, 463.73 meters wide, 195.26 meters tall, and weighed 4.5 million metric tons. And as it has been depicted, the Einherjar is a lot bigger then the Enterprise.
