The reason I picked Lavender is because Concubines are sometimes depicted in Lavender sheets. I also picked it sort of for irony's sake, as purple is usually a color reserved for royalty.
That's really clever. Gotta give you major props for that one.

On another note, Mary's talk with Demeter and about changing her ways is reminiscent of the person that Mary is named after. :D

I'll see if you guys can guess who I'm talking about. (It's super easy)
Um... Mary Magdalene? I probably sound stupid if I'm wrong, but that is the first thing that comes to mind, since she is prominent throughout the stories of Jesus Christ's travels and resurrection, and was cured of 'seven demons' by Christ.

Cookie points for Zombie! :D

It was also implied that she was a prostitute, or a 'Giver of Love'.

Put up some world notes to help explain the world a bit better. *If I haven't caught your attention yet I will bring out the frying pan next*

Question. That Map would suggest that the Himalaya's in India are flooded, which makes no sense. Are they actually flooded or are they under the control of China?

The world works in the sense that, even if the area is flooded, the waters are apart of the nation So while they are not a piece of land, the nation that has claimed it still holds sovereign rule over it. There are no internationally shared regions, either a nation owns this or they don't. So to answer your question, both.

So... India is under China's control now? Interesting.

I was thinking that it would be cool if Tibet has been fending off China's attempts to conquer it for a long time because it can't be effectively attack by sea, is extremely hard to climb, and so high up that balloons can't function, sort of making this huge mountain chain sticking out of the water a sanctuary against Chinese oppression.

That...is actually a good idea. If South Africa can rebel, why can't others? (And since the Chinese nation is communist, that could play a huge factor into why they are rebelling.) Another great things about this story is the engineering side of it. The people have to deal with a completely different world so logically, the ideas surrounding it would be different then how they played out in real life. A city in the mountains, why not? Cities on the water like an oil platform, that was an idea of mine while writing. (I also planned on adding maybe subs or flying cities but we will see.)

I even have a name for the city, Nirvana. Named after the end goal of the Buddhist religion, because reaching this city and by extension, freedom, would be the end goal of anyone who is oppressed by the Chinese Communist regime! :D

A very pleasant meeting, at least compared to others.

“What can you tell me about Ira? He sounds…rigid.”

I have no interest in talking about him.

“Why not?”

Perhaps when its relevant, I will help…but please, I’d rather not think about him today.

Good foreshadowing into their relationship.

“Yes…our digestive system isn’t what it was. Generally it’s cloned extract from grains and plants. Some Ethereals are more ‘adventurous’ and eat highly tenderized meats in small chunks…your cattle were becoming popular exotic meats last I checked.”

“Beef being classified as ‘exotic’…”

“It must be amusing to hear,” Luxuria smiled. “Avaritia in particular loved eating human food, he always risked getting sick from something too spicy or too firm, but he wouldn’t miss the chance to try it.”

Nice reference to their deteriorated to bodies, as well Avy's nature.

Luxuria walked to the other end of the table and activated the disc, the lights beginning to shine towards Emily instead of upwards. Her head crooked as she looked into the origin point curiously, feeling her psionics being engaged by the device. In a single sweeping moment, the little pains and nagging tensions in her muscles and joints vanished. She stretched her arm upwards and gave a little jump, her legs bursting upwards with far more power than she expected. She bashed through the layers of concrete and steel above her, rocketing unstoppably until she reached the stratosphere. With a gentle wave, she fanned her arms out began to fly, a gentle breeze whipping across her face and through her clothes as she glided through the sky. Waves of tingling pleasure radiated from her heart, whisking through her body in a steady rhythm.

The slightly acrid taste of the Ethereal air disappeared, effortlessly replaced with the senses she cherished most. A spice-laced smell of magnolias, the tingle of mist cascading over her skin, the taste of freshly-made pancakes with strawberry syrup, and the child-like bliss and ardor of running towards the tree on Christmas morning. Emily let her eyes drift closed as she relaxed into a cool current, her fear and stress completely gone. Her eyes winked open again and she was where she was before, looking into the waterfall of violet, yellow, and green lights twinkling in front of her, waiting for further input.

Sounds... INCREDIBLY addicting, even without regulators. Reminds me of a scifi story I read years ago, name escapes me unfortunately, which centered around a brother and sister who owned a VR gaming company trying to clear their names of murder, and VR addiction is an incredibly problem in the story, spreading like a drug addiction.

You’re using my thought processes that are trapped in your mind since our first joining. Think of my imprint in your mind like a handprint in fine sand...you can see it exactly how it was, but if you try to change it, it will look faked or collapse. You can use it to toy with others’ chemical imbalances just like I do, and set off their breeding instincts…but you won’t be able to use it offensively, as I despise that kind of attack and have never used it.

Good foreshadowing into how Invidia will end up using his green psionics (and how he already has, i.e., Viktor's eye).

Things were quite pleasant, although I still tried to make it clear they're not really 'friends', but that they're both getting what they want. With regards to the addiction, I was thinking BTLs from Shadowrun, which are basically what you described (although the creation process is a little more shady than game making).

Half of it is romantic subplots between Nika and Thin Men with lots of fanservice (of the Thin Men, of course)

indie plat former

Each room has a new randomly-generated alien (all reskinned sectoids) and if you die the game uninstalls itself

block crusher mobile game where you use brigid's powers to match up psi orbs

Bought out by Disney and renamed to Midichloridian Dash, sells more than the previous two combined

Eve comes and visits Ellie, Jessica has a heart to heart with the newly named Asher and things ensue. Be sure to read them and don't miss the mission that went up as it is very good.

Maybe I just have Final Fantasy on the brain all the time (and really, who doesn't?), but am I the only one who think of Aerith Gainsborough from FFVII every time Asher uses the term "Flower Girl".

FFVII - Aeris.jpg

That is what Aerith was refered to as, The Flower Girl, before her name is reveled. Maybe Seti can be just like her! Talk like her, fight like her and... uh...
