Only thing Marine has to say about it is to question a slight plothole...

Yeah, yeah... but to be fair, you could name practically any movie, and I could probably find some pedantic plothole in it (I'm a bit anal, though, so...)

They are terrible people, indeed. As for fighting though, she's actually a terrible close-quarters fighter. She has mediocre strength, only basic hand-to-hand and no melee weapon training, and the only MA she knows well is capoeira, which requires more space than that. She knows a little bit of sambo, but not nearly as much as someone from the region. And even if she did fight her, the girl would probably take it to the death, in which case she would either die or kill her and bring attention to herself.
