Hey Daxle quick question, does Eva know about Desmond or will we have to do something where the two meet.
If you want to do something just shoot the PM.For me specifically, I having a couple of things in mind. I want to get back on track with Thomas and his curiosity in Desmond, as well as anything he might end up doing along that path. Secondly, Modya will probably interact with Ammelia again at some point, and they'll be more stuff with him following that bad day he had. Finally, of course, Atka's got a lot on her mind, so someone might catch her restlessly training in the gym or pacing somewhere, or deep in thought. (I have no specific plans on anyone to talk to her, so that depends on who is interested.)
No anything for Desmond, if the docs discover his body alterations the jig is up for him. He will just be purely a psionic badassWell, start deciding if your character wants any meld, for one. We'll be introducing the genetic enhancements like the game did, though I am willing to allow one unique ability for each character, as long as it connects the the characters back story, natural abilities, or back story in some way. I'm only plannig on one Mech amongst players, so if more then one of you want it, it'll go to the person that convinces me they deserve it the most.
The arc throwers are available, so you could post something about learning to use them.
And it might take me a little bit to get the next mission together, but I can tell you it will include Modya and Albert (in separate units), and the one after that will be for Desmond.
And finally, we have a new NPC character on base, though for obvious reasons, it'll be quite a while before most of you will be able to interact with her.

Good point. It would be pretty bad if they opened him up and it looked like he'd already had work done on him. But at least you'll be first in line for psionics. No anything for Desmond, if the docs discover his body alterations the jig is up for him. He will just be purely a psionic badass
Oh I think I can make her careShe does not know about Desmond, so we might have to make them meet how ever since Desmond is a clone she would not really care for him.
If we don't get volunteers, and someone gets critically wounded and loses limbs down the line...that would only happen by consent of the players, of course, but its a possibility.Well, I've been a bit busy today, with the collab w/ Dahl & Frost, the interrogation, the intro for the labs and alien containment, and Jessica/Alexia and her family. I just hope I didn't overload you guys with posts (five in one day, I think I went a little overboard). I'd really like for you to read them all, but if you don't have time, here is a quick summary:
w/ Dahl: Scarlet's dismissal
w/ Frost: Back story for Ammelia, hero worship for Jessie
Interrogation: New Ayame, but as a bad girl
Intros: Start thinking about the genetic enhancements you want
Jessie's family: Character development, and something... weird about Alex
At any rate, I'll be working on another interrogation scene tomorrow, as well as the next mission. Since the next mission will be for both Albert and Modya, they obviously can't spend time being 'enhanced', but for everyone else, start thinking about what you might want (so far, the only thing I've been told is nothing for Desmond)
Like the game, you're limited to one ability per section of the body. The availability of the gene-mods will be a mix of EW and long war, and will largely be linked to which aliens Leon has gotten his hands on. Here are the ones available right now:
Hyper Reactive Pupils (Eyes): Will allow your character's eyes to quickly adapt to situations, not only giving them a better chance at hitting targets they miss, but allowing them to quickly find enemies that shoot at them from hiding.
Depth Perception (Eyes): Will let your character take full advantage of having the high ground, and they won't be as debilitated by the distance that comes with having a height advantage.
Smart Macrophages (Brain): Available thanks to the Sectoid autopsy. This supercharges your character's immune system, letting them heal almost instantly from being poisoned, and increases the healing power of medkits on them.
Muscle Fiber Density (Legs): Available thanks to the Thin Man autopsy. Grants super-powered strength to your characters legs, enhancing their jumping power. Will allow them to jump to great heights unaided. Can be used to reach roofs or get a temporary height advantage, and allows for a quick burst of speed.
And on a final note, as I said, only one Mech will be allowed, but if none of you want to have a Mech, I completely understand. Personally, I wouldn't like the idea of my character losing their limbs either.

No, you've made it very clear that he has been practicing constantly. In fact, I'd say he practices a little too much. I know if I was him, I'd want an excuse to see Ellie as much as possible, but that doesn't mean he should keep killing himself and having to go to the infirmary. I don't want him going out for his first mission, yelling "LETS DO THIS!", then immediately collapsing from exhaustion.Btw guys a side note for Desmond. Although it may seem like he is advancing rapidly with his psi powers but I am trying to convey how much research he puts in while he is alone to develop these techniques. This does not happen over night and he can develop these fast because he applies techniques for storing energy and finding balance from his other teachings. Just something to keep in mind. Also I hope I am going into enough detail let me know.
That is the thing though he doesn't want to see her. In his perspective he has did something horrible by developing feelings for Ellie. Also he won't do that during a mission he knows he has to be in top shape before a mission. No, you've made it very clear that he has been practicing constantly. *Gets out slaver whip* Yeah you better.Oh crap, I have a mission coming up soon. That means I may have to write something personal-ish then, so I don't seem totally inactive. Right, better get on that then.
Well, considering he's a spy, he technically is doing something wrong. I hope Ellie isn't too crushed when... you know...That is the thing though he doesn't want to see her. Oh my. And I have something planned when Desmond leaves so I hope it is as emotional as it seems in my head.Well, considering he's a spy, he technically is doing something wrong. I hope Ellie isn't too crushed when... you know...
You know, my second favorite anime ever is Yu Yu Hakusho, an awesome action series from the early to mid 90s (so it's probably before a lot of your times, which is quite a shame). During the part when Desmond blasted that rock apart with the ball of energy, it reminded me of a scene when Yusuke, the main character, was ordered by his teacher and mentor, Genkai, to demonstrate his power by using his spirit gun to blow up a large rock.
Of course, the whole point of the scene was to prove that Yusuke was too arrogant, and there was a lot more power he could achieve. Now, should Desmond reach the power Genkai immediately demonstrated by destroy a gigantic boulder, as well as a large section a the forest...
Just remember that nothing is set is stone, Marine. It's possible someone might completely change his mind, however unlikely it may seem right now.Oh my. And I have something planned when Desmond leaves so I hope it is as emotional as it seems in my head.
That 10,000 character thing happened to me the first time I tried to post something long, and I regretted trimming the message, so now I keep it in mind, but if I go over, then I just split it.What a battle I had with that last post. Tried like a million times to get it under 10,000 characters from like 200 over until I just gave up.
Also, for the record, since Emily is all set up with her roommates, she can socialize with the other members of the team that don't live with her. Just let me know if you want to set up a meeting.
