Even though I'm finally recruited, that episode kinda pushed me a lot farther towards wanting to restart. We're losing a lot of good writers, unfortunately, and that doom tracker is looking rather menacing. Either way, my first entry is going up soon :D

What would be the character's motivation for joining XCOM? I don't know how much XCOM pays, but I doubt its well publicized and just doing actual piracy would probably be easier, and possibly safer and more profitable as well.

I'm here too. I was thinking admitting the rest of the inactives could get some discussion going, adding a kind of a old guard vs. new guys clique dynamic.

My guess is that the bodies would be kept in a morgue and their wounds studied for adaptive defense purposes, and then are cleaned up of evidence and released for burial after the mothership is destroyed (some one or two years later). That's what I had in my draft for a casualty ending, anyway.

A sad day indeed, for both the game and the RP. That epilogue was heartbreaking.
