Are we visiting the base first or rolling straight out into missions?
What I think Zombie meant is that we're doing that 'tutorial' mission where you meet the sectoid commander, and only one person out of four survives (The other three are redshirts in our case). That's why I think it's going up quickly, since only one of us is a part of that one, if anyone is. (Clarification on that would be helpful.)

The whole thing of this free RP is that we do not have to follow the game story, that was my official thought so are you really following the story?

One of you will be a part of that one. You'll find out who tomorrow, but let's just say it was someone who specifically asked for it.

The first mission will be dated for March 3rd, at 2130 hours, so that means you have about 33 hours for your character to be on base before it starts. Feel free to post something.

That is true, and for the most part, I''l only be using the game as a back bone. However, just as the in game tutorial gives the player a chance to get used to the controls, making a mission out of it will help me get used to creating mission parameters under controlled circumstances using a relatively short mission, as well as letting you see what I'm doing and give me advice on how I can improve.

Just as a friendly reminder, if your busy, don't feel obligated to try and keep up with the more frequent posters (like myself). Just post at your own pace.

So yeah...tomorrow and then weekend, in which much can be done. (Considering Monday-Friday is our hardiest-to-schedule period we certainly got a lot done. I look forward to seeing the first mission tomorrow afternoon/evening.) If anyone needs to speak to Atka, or Modya, or happens to run into the messenger Thomas during the night at base, feel free to send me a pm of course, and I'll see what I can do for you. "Let the games begin..."

No one gives a shit about Columbus day, And I dare any on to tell me who is Christopher Columbus, With out typing his name in a search engine.
The european explorer that "discovered" the carribean and by extension the americas, sorta of an asshole by the way. :p Technically the vikings were the first ones to find the americas, arriving in Canada, but he is credited with the title for that historic feat by less- knowledgeable people.

That's what the quotation marks are for. xD
No one ever mentions that he was mostly in South and Central America. We have a holiday for him in the U.S., but I don't think he ever stepped foot...

Wait, when did this turn into a trash Columbus thread. Can we get back to what's important?

What do you guys think of this Cat Lamp?

And don't look at this picture. It's uninteresting.

I really like it. Actually, I was following it fairly quickly after they got posted. Desmond's definitely conflicted and that'll make for some interesting interactions. A bit out there, but if you wanted to, Thomas might notice him passed out in there, since he does work the night shift, but if you just want Desmond to have done those things in isolation and not be noticed that's cool too.
